According to Beverly Afaglo, most unemployed youths are unemployable because of their bad attitudes toward work.

She explained that;

It’s not easy running a business in Ghana, people will sabotage you, and getting workers is tough. People are always crying on social media about employment. It is all a lie because they don’t need any job. They are just lazy.

The youths are lazy because they think that once you are born, you start walking…It is a process but without any experience, they expect so much… we consider transportation and all that but the people after experiencing the pressure at work are quick to quit after two weeks..riders can stress you.

“There a lot of things that have held us back and we feel like we’ve not received recognition for our work. The thing is that we are talents when the cyberbullying and the whole industry play weighs you down, you don’t have to give in, you have to protect your brand” they said

According to Dope Nation, they could speak for themselves and put the records straight but a lot of times Ghanaians consider outspoken folks to be arrogant.

“It’s not that we are not outspoken, the more we get outspoken you don’t do the things the talent wants you to do. We’ve been bullied a number of times everybody knows but then it’s fine,” they pointed out.

In an interview with Yaa Somuah, Adomaa revealed that she was always sad and had insecurities when she attended boarding school in Nigeria where she was frequently mocked for being dark-skinned.

She said: “I used to hear statements like Oh you are so dark, oh my God the sun in Ghana, does it burn people. It made me feel very very insecure, I am not proud of it but there are times I actually attempted bleaching just to fit in”.

“I don’t think it is normal for any human being to live their lives where everybody is a part of every single thing that they are doing. The celebrity kingdom is not normal, I feel like everybody has vulnerable moments, has everyday lives and there are certain things you want to keep for yourself, there are certain things you allow yourself to be open to family, there is a version of yourself that you allow to be open to friends, there is layers to it but when you are in this spotlight you have no privacy and it is not normal”.

Adomaa previously battled depression for a few years but has now overcome it, and she is now steadily working to shine.

‘I see KOD as a shallow-minded child’ – Gyedu Blay Ambolley fires

Gyedu Blay-Ambolley has aggressively fired back at KOD following the comments he made after the former’s claim that VGMA was a curse to the Highlife genre

According to KOD, Gyedu Blay-Ambolley is wrong to blame the VGMA for the decline in the love for Highlife music.

Taking to his Facebook page to blast Ambolley, KOD wrote;

Such nonsense! Which awards scheme has projected our music industry like the VGMA since independence? How many have projected our musicians beyond GH? How many have consistently done more than ten years? Some of our musicians have failed to evolve and [are] quick to blame others for their personal mishaps. When was the last time he released an album?”

According to KOD, the issue is rather the fault of radio stations who had refused to play hi-life music and admonished Ambolley to rather blame them.

“When was the last time he released an album? He should be blaming some of the radio stations that don’t even play our music.”

Commenting on KOD’s attack on him, during an interview with Andy Dosty, the hiplife-originator said he was not ready to respond to the “young boy” because he was busy preparing for his next tour.

According to him, he sees the fashion designer and TV personality as a child whose mental capacity was not fully developed.

“I see Okyere Darko as a child. He is shallow-minded, the reason why he said those things,” he said,

“I am going on a European tour in May next year. My music, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley’s music, and in June, I will be back on tour.

Comparing their individual career trajectory, he questioned if KOD could take his Disc Jockeying skills or his fashion design acumen to the international stage

So when he sits and talks, can he take his clothes on tour as a designer like the way I am going on tour with my music? Can he take his DJing on tour like the way I am going on tour with my music? If these people talk, you know they are shallow minds,” he concluded
