Ghanaian actor and media personality Richard Sarkodie, popularly known as Osoode, marked his birthday in 2025 with a gesture that has touched the hearts of many people.

While many would have thrown a lavish party, Osoode chose to celebrate his special day by giving back to some of the very legends whose contributions helped shape the Kumawood film industry.

In a video sighted on Poleeno Multimedia, Osoode was seen in the company of Papa Jay and a few close friends as they paid a surprise visit to some ailing and struggling Kumawood veterans.

Among those visited were veteran actor Kwaku Twumasi, who has been battling health issues in recent years, and Dada Poh Guy Guy.

Osoode explained in the video that while he had previously used his birthdays to visit orphanages to donate to children, this year he felt a strong conviction to honor and support some of the industry’s aging heroes who are in need.

As part of his birthday donations, Osoode gifted them assorted items including toiletries, foodstuff, and an undisclosed amount of money.
