Ghanaian rapper Awal Mohammed, popularly known simply as Awal and radio media personality, Dr. Pounds have gone down on their knees to beg his former mentor Sarkodie for forgiveness during a live interview.
This moment was captured when he appeared on Dr. Pound’s Hitz FM’s Hitz Gallery show on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Awal publicly expressed remorse and asked to be accepted back into Sarkodie’s good books, saying he still sees him as a father figure.
Speaking during the interview, Awal said that he was not sure if he did anything to offend Sarkodie, but he believes he might have said or done something Sarkodie didn’t like.
He further explained his uncertainty is one of the key things that push him to come onto the show to sincerely ask for forgiveness and hopes Sarkodie will accept him back as his son. He also asked Ghanaians to help him speak to Sarkodie so they can make peace.
