The news of controversial entertainer and ardent critic of the current NPP government Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus‘s house being raided at night by the BNI was all over the news tabloids yesterday. The musician cum comedian has, however, come out to set the records straight, stating that his house was never raided by the government body.

Kwame A Plus took to social media handles to reveal what actually happened in relation to the BNI issue. On his Instagram handle, he wrote:

“FOUR THINGS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT THE BNI ISSUE

1. BNI did not raid my house.
2. BNI did not raid my house
3. BNI has not raided my house.
4. BNI has not raided my house.”

He also stated in the post sighted by zionfelix.net that Ghanaians should do away with trying to “demonize” the BNI and that they are not there to intimidate anyone, especially him, Kwame A Plus. He further made the point that the BNI only went to his house at ‘dawn’ just to invite him in for a ‘friend chat’ and that he has called the boss of the BNI that he will personally walk to their office when he gets back into the country from his trip abroad.

“We must not demonize the BNI. They are not there to intimidate anyone. In fact, they can’t even intimidate me!! They have been to my house twice. Wednesday afternoon and Thursday dawn. I’m not in Ghana so they left a message that they were sent by the director of BNI to invite me for a “friendly chat.” (I don’t know why they came at dawn to invite me for a friendly chat though). Anyway… If we truly love Ghana, we must support the government to build strong state institutions by cooperating with them always. As for me Kwame A Plus, there is not a single person in that country called Ghana who can intimidate me irrespective of status. The worse any coward can do is to hide and kill me. In fact, I expect that every day. I’m not scared at all.

I will “walk” to the BNI when I arrive in Ghana and “walk” out of there. I’m on a mission to groom a new crop of young Ghanaians who are law-abiding, fearless and resist the oppressor with all their strength and all their might as instructed by our founding fathers in the national anthem. We can not fear people we put in power and pay without tax money. Sagaaa!!! Rise up, my people… Rise up!!! #halfmanhalfbosom 😡😡😡😡😡 Good morning my friends….”  the full post stated.

It is alleged that the BNI wanted to ‘invite’ A Plus because of his recent questioning and desire for accountability from the Director General of Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Mr. Kwame Owusu.
