Chrisbill Group of Companies have made a donation worth Gh300,000 to the Ministry of Health and about four hospitals in the Ga North Municipality to help fight against the Coronavirus.

The items donated on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, include tissue papers, hand sanitizers and liquid soaps.

The company which specializes in air and sea cargo, customs brokerage, warehousing, express courier, import and sale of baby diapers, soft white tissues, etc presented 6000 boxes of Chrisbill tissue papers to the Ga North Municipal Hospital, 3000 boxes to Urgent Care Hospital, 3000 boxes to Holy Dove Hospital, 3000 boxes to Provident Specialist Hospital and 15,000 boxes of tissue papers, 100 Gallons of hand sanitizers and liquid soaps to the Ministry of Health.

Mr Christopher Demanya, the CEO of Chrisbill Group of Companies who also doubles as Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko National Circles Council (NCC) explained the need for his outfit to help in fighting against the pandemic which has claimed many lives globally.

According to him, it is important for the company to join hands in fighting the disease since they have the items which will be helpful to society.

He believes it would take a holistic responsibility to combat the deadly COVID-19.

Mr Demanya added that the decision follows President Akufo Addo’s call on individuals and institutions to contribute to fighting against the Coronavirus.

The then Deputy Minister of Health, Mr Alexander Kwadwo Kom Abban who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Communications as Deputy Minister thanked the CEO of Chrisbill and his team for their contribution after receiving the items on behalf of the Minister of Health, Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu.

He assured that the items will be put into good use as several calls have been made by MPs and other groups requesting for such items most especially those who do not have the financial wherewithal to buy the items.

Mr Abban stated that their doors are always open for anyone who is willing to help the government in these difficult times.
