Ghanaian rap artiste Maradona Yeboah Adjei known by his stage name Guru has revealed why Ghanaians have not heard a song which has the voice of Sarkodie and himself in ages.
The ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show rubbished claims that he has a feud with Obidi. He believes Ghanaians are spreading the rumour of a supposed beef with Sarkdie because the two have not worked on a song in dog’s age.
The rapper explaining why he has not worked with him for a very long time disclosed that he planned not to work with Obidi. He quickly added that Sarkodie is not the only musician he decided not to collaborate with on a song. Guru continued that he advised himself not to feature any of the mainstream artiste for a period because he wanted to sell his brand to the public.
The musician further told Zionfelix, host of the show that he is not the only musician who made a decision of not featuring top acts in the country. He named Dr. Crym, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Stay Jay as musicians who also made up their mind to work alone and sell their brand to the people instead of jumping on songs of other A-list artistes.
To him, all the musicians who started from his days “wanted to prove a point by maintaining his field” hence their decision not do many collaborations. Watch Guru on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show below:
