Award-winning Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has expressed his frustration following Ghana’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, questioning both the Black Stars’ performance and the team’s selection decisions.

The Black Stars’ World Cup journey came to an end after a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in their Round of 32 clash played in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.

Colombia secured victory through an early goal from Jhon Arias, who calmly finished from close range in the 14th minute, a strike that ultimately proved decisive as Ghana failed to find an equaliser.

Reacting to the result in a video shared on X, Lil Win voiced his disappointment, saying he was unable to sleep after watching the Black Stars bow out of the tournament.

“I can’t sleep. It’s 4 am. The ball you played and the selection made were not good,” he lamented.

The actor questioned whether there was more to Ghana’s defeat than met the eye, suggesting that if the match had been deliberately lost, Ghanaians deserved an explanation.

“Or have you sold the match to Colombia? If you people sold the World Cup match to lose against Colombia, then bring us our share of the money. You all did not play a good game,” he said.

Lil Win also singled out forward Jordan Ayew, questioning his regular inclusion in the starting lineup despite what he claimed was widespread public criticism.

“I think Jordan and his family have shares in the Black Stars, or that it even belongs to them. Almost 90% of Ghanaians complain whenever Jordan Ayew starts a match. At the very least, he should have been introduced in the second half. We need answers,” he stated.

According to the actor, many supporters have consistently raised concerns about Jordan Ayew’s selection, yet the technical team continues to hand him a starting role.

The Kumawood star said he hopes the Ghana Football Association and the Black Stars’ technical team will address the concerns being raised by disappointed supporters following the team’s exit from the tournament.
