Agradaa has set up a church inside Nsawam prison – Angel Asiamah alleges

0

Controversial Ghanaian spiritualist-turned-evangelist, Nana Agradaa, born Patricia Asiedua Asiamah and now known as Evangelist Mama Pat, has reportedly continued her ministry behind bars at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

The former fetish priestess, who made headlines in 2022 for allegedly defrauding church members through a televised money-doubling scam, was sentenced on July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit Court to 15 years in prison with hard labour.

She was convicted on two counts of defrauding by false pretences and one count of charlatanic advertisement.

According to court records, Nana Agradaa used a live broadcast to promote her supposed spiritual ability to double money.

Victims testified that they handed over large sums of cash during church services at her Heaven Way Church, expecting miraculous financial returns that never came.

Despite her incarceration, Evangelist Mama Pat appears to be continuing her religious journey from within prison walls.

Speaking to congregants during a Sunday service on August 3, 2025, her husband, Angel Asiamah, revealed that she has established a new ministry in prison, preaching and leading a growing fellowship of inmates.

“She has not stopped serving God. Even in prison, she’s still preaching and winning souls for Christ,” Mr. Asiamah said, adding that she has become a spiritual leader among the inmates and continues to conduct prayer sessions and sermons.
