Shatta Wale Fires Back at Fan Over Claims of Repainting His Lamborghini Urus

0

Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has responded with trademark bravado to a fan who questioned the authenticity of his newly unveiled purple Lamborghini Urus.

The social media showdown began shortly after the “On God” hitmaker shared photos of a flashy purple Lamborghini on his platforms, proudly presenting it as his latest luxury acquisition.

The post stirred excitement among his loyal fan base but also triggered skepticism from some quarters.

One X user with the handle @CityBoss casted doubt on the announcement and implied that the purple vehicle was merely a resprayed version of the yellow Lamborghini Urus Shatta Wale had previously flaunted in September 2024.

In a swift clapback that captured attention across social media platforms, Shatta Wale replied bluntly:

“Open your eyes, na America be dat fool.”

While some fans have backed Shatta Wale and praised his growing fleet of luxury vehicles, others continued to scrutinize the details of the photos shared.

The flamboyant artist is known for his love for luxury cars, and his garage includes a Rolls-Royce, G-Wagon, and multiple high-end sports cars.

The latest Lamborghini dispute adds another chapter to his public image as Ghana’s most unapologetic showman.

For now, whether it’s a brand-new whip or a custom paint job, one thing is clear—Shatta Wale knows how to keep the spotlight firmly on himself.

“I Will End My Life In A Lecture Hall” – Okyeame Kwame reveals

0

Veteran Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame, born Kwame Nsiah-Apau, has revealed a deeply personal aspiration beyond his celebrated music career—becoming a university lecturer.

In an exclusive conversation with George Quaye on Joy Prime’s Prime Time Show the multiple award-winning musician expressed a long-standing passion for teaching, which he says will ultimately define the final chapter of his life.

“If I weren’t a musician, I’d be a teacher—completely,” Okyeame Kwame declared.

“Even as a musician, I’m still going to be a teacher… because by the end of my life, I will be teaching in one of the universities.”

Okyeame Kwame’s teaching ambitions aren’t just wishful thinking—they are rooted in real experience.

He fondly recounted his time as a teacher in Meduma, a town in the Kwabre-East District of the Ashanti Region, where he taught after completing his A-levels.

That period, he said, ignited a love for imparting knowledge.

“I loved interacting with children. I loved imparting knowledge. I even loved the process of preparing to teach,” he shared. “That’s how I know I’ll end up in a lecture hall, teaching psychology, sociology, philosophy—or even the philosophy of African music.”

Beyond music and education, his journey also reveals a powerful father-son story. Okyeame Kwame emotionally recalled the resistance he faced from his late father during his early rap career.

“From age 14 to 16, we fought all the time about it,” he admitted. “But one day, he saw me perform. After that, he made me promise: no matter how far I go with rap, I must go back to school.”

That promise shaped Okyeame Kwame’s academic journey, and it appears to be inspiring his future trajectory as well.

Now a respected figure in Ghana’s creative industry and a strong advocate for education and personal development, he is preparing to transition from the stage to the lecture hall.

Shatta Wale Applauds Medikal’s Business Acumen In Music

Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has lauded rapper Medikal for his strategic approach to the music industry, emphasizing that his continued success is rooted in understanding the business side of rap.

Speaking in a recent interview with US-based Ghanaian blogger Firestick, Shatta Wale didn’t hold back his admiration for Medikal, who he says has mastered the balance between lyrical craft and commercial viability.

“I like rap music so much, but I love rappers who understand the commercial aspect of rap—and that’s what Medikal does,” Shatta Wale said.

The ‘On God’ hitmaker highlighted that while many rappers focus solely on lyricism, Medikal has managed to monetize his brand, keeping him relevant and dominant in Ghana’s music scene.

This isn’t the first time Shatta Wale has endorsed Medikal. The two have developed a close friendship in recent years, often collaborating on projects and performing together.

Their chemistry has become a staple in the Ghanaian music industry, with fans praising their mutual respect and support.

Shatta Wale’s comments come amid ongoing conversations about sustainability in Ghana’s rap industry, where many talented artists struggle to maintain momentum due to a lack of business insight.

Court Rejects Agradaa’s Bid To Dismiss Empress Gifty’s Defamation Suit; Fined GH¢6K For Delays

Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, widely known as Agradaa, has suffered a legal blow after the Tema High Court dismissed her application to strike out a GH¢20 million defamation suit filed against her by gospel singer Empress Gifty.

The court also imposed a GH¢6,000 fine on Agradaa for wasting the court’s time, citing the absence of her legal representatives at a prior hearing.

The development was confirmed by Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye, who addressed supporters gathered outside the courtroom.

“The court ordered her to pay GH¢6,000 to Empress,” he revealed.

In a further move, the court granted a temporary injunction barring Agradaa from mentioning Empress Gifty’s name or making any defamatory comments about her across all social media platforms.

The gospel artiste’s legal battle was on the back of an explosive live broadcast aired on May 13, 2025, during which Agradaa allegedly accused Empress Gifty of engaging in indecent acts involving religious leaders and made further demeaning remarks.

The defamation suit, officially filed on May 20, seeks GH¢20 million in damages and a permanent injunction to prevent any further defamatory remarks. Empress Gifty also asked the court to order the removal of the offending content from all online platforms.

An earlier hearing on June 11 was stalled when Agradaa’s legal team failed to appear, claiming improper service of court documents. That absence led to further delays and ultimately cost Agradaa the GH¢6,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Agradaa is also reported to have hurled insults at a lawyer involved in the matter. A formal demand letter has since been served, requesting a retraction and public apology.

With the preliminary hurdles now cleared, Empress Gifty’s main defamation case is set to proceed, with the next court appearance scheduled for July 16, 2025.

Ghanaian politician and former National Security operative, Hopeson Yaovi Adorye, has stirred social media chatter after proudly showcasing a set of Father’s Day gifts he received from his wife, gospel singer Empress Gifty.

In a trending video shared across platforms, Adorye is seen inside his plush residence, beaming with joy as he unboxes several items his wife brought back from her recent trip to Paris.

Among the gifts were a pair of black business casual shoes, which Adorye enthusiastically claimed were from the renowned fashion house Zara, a brand often associated with accessible luxury.

“Zara! My wife knows the good stuff,” he said gleefully, as he held up the shoes for the camera.

He also flaunted several Ralph Lauren Polo shirts and high-end diffusers, all of which he described as thoughtful additions from Empress Gifty in celebration of Father’s Day.

While some fans praised the romantic gesture and applauded Empress Gifty for honoring her husband, others took to social media to poke fun at the footwear, with many accusing the politician of unknowingly flaunting knock-off Zara shoes often sold in street markets abroad.
