Media personality and entertainment analyst MC Portfolio has declared his indispensable position within Kumasi’s entertainment ecosystem, asserting that artists seeking to execute projects in the city must engage with him as a primary conduit.

During an exclusive interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, MC Portfolio emphasised his divinely ordained position as Kumasi’s entertainment gatekeeper.

He characterised himself not merely as a visible industry figure but as a trusted and essential resource for artists and stakeholders operating in the region.

God has blessed me in such a way that any artiste wanting to undertake a project in Kumasi must go through me.

To substantiate his influence, MC Portfolio cited his instrumental role in facilitating Shatta Wale’s “Ahodwo Las Vegas” project launch in Kumasi.

He revealed serving as the project’s public relations lead while also contributing to artist selection and strategic decisions.

“When Shatta Wale wanted to launch his Ahodwo Las Vegas project, I served as the public relations officer, and Andy Dosty introduced me as the go-to person for any project in Kumasi.

That’s when I suggested some names to Shatta Wale, which helped me build a rapport with him.”

Award-winning Ghanaian musician Black Sherif, affectionately known as Blacko, has opened up about the paths he might have taken if music hadn’t worked out for him.

In a revealing interview on the Afro Select Show, the “Second Sermon” hitmaker shared that without his successful music career, he could have easily found himself in retail or following his family’s footsteps in the automobile spare parts trade.

“If I wasn’t doing music right now, I would probably be hustling crazy, doing clothes stuff in Accra, or maybe if I wasn’t in Accra, I would be selling my daddy’s tyres in Konongo,” he stated candidly.

Black Sherif revealed that his father was involved in a family business that sold car engines and spare parts, and growing up, this business shaped part of his early outlook on life.

The artist also reflected on his high school years in Kumasi, where he often snuck out of boarding school to hang around popular areas near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

He admitted to being heavily drawn to dance and street culture even before his music blew up.

Despite his meteoric rise to fame, Blacko’s reflections paint the picture of a grounded young man who has never forgotten his humble beginnings or the hustle that shaped his early years.

His story serves as a reminder that behind the fame is a relatable young Ghanaian with dreams, struggles, and the will to survive—music just happened to be the outlet that changed everything

Marrying Multiple Wives Is Fine, If You Can Take Care of Them – Osebo Sparks Debate

0

Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur and style icon, Osebo the Zaraman, has reignited public discourse on polygamy, character in relationships, and marital fidelity, offering bold takes rooted in his personal beliefs and interpretations of scripture.

In a recent interview with ZionFelix, Osebo asserted that he sees no issue with men marrying more than two wives, provided they possess the financial stability and emotional capacity to support their families. He believes such arrangements can even ease tension in marriages and minimize recurring conflicts. Drawing on religious texts, he expressed that the Bible itself alludes to an era where polygamy becomes more common.

With confidence, he stated that his own wealth would allow him to support multiple wives without difficulty. For women opposed to polygamous unions, he noted that many others would be willing to embrace such a lifestyle with him.

Moving beyond the topic of multiple spouses, Osebo also addressed the importance of deeper values in choosing a life partner. He urged men to look beyond physical appearances when selecting wives, emphasizing that good character should take precedence over superficial beauty.

He lamented that the depth of love once shown by older generations of women is rare today. When men do encounter women with genuine affection and substance, they often overlook them because these women don’t conform to conventional beauty standards.

Osebo stressed that true beauty lies within a woman’s heart and that the presence of peace in a relationship should matter more than outward charm. He warned that some women have the power to dismantle a man’s life, take his property, and swiftly move on to another partner.

Osebo did not shy away from tackling the subject of infidelity either. He made it clear that he would end a marriage if his wife were unfaithful, pointing to scripture to justify his stance.

He believes cheating is a non-negotiable betrayal and argued that forgiveness in such cases is futile because the offending partner is likely to repeat the offense. He extended this same standard to men, stating that women, too, should walk away if their husbands cheat.

Through his candid remarks, Osebo the Zaraman has once again stirred conversation around modern relationships, cultural expectations, and faith-based principles—all while remaining unapologetically himself.

Vida Adutwumwaa Urges Alabaster Box to Demand More from Medikal Over Intellectual Property Dispute

0

Entertainment pundit Vida Adutwumwaa has called on gospel group, Alabaster Box, to increase their demands in their ongoing dispute with rapper Medikal over alleged intellectual property infringement.

The controversy stems from Medikal’s use of what is believed to be a signature chant or phrase originally popularized by Alabaster Box.

The gospel group reportedly asked the rapper to cease using their material without proper credit or compensation.

Speaking on the issue, Vida expressed disappointment in Medikal’s response to the concerns raised by Alabaster Box, describing his conduct as “disrespectful.”

She pointed out that Medikal’s unapologetic stance reflects a broader disregard for creatives who rely on their intellectual property for a livelihood.

“Not everyone can make quick money in Ghana—that’s why the Alabaster guys feel their intellectual property should work for them,” she said.

She drew parallels between Medikal’s reaction and how he once responded with fury to a TV3 segment involving Sarkodie, highlighting the irony in his dismissive attitude towards Alabaster Box.

“If you’re angry, you react, but you’ve used someone’s property without acknowledging them and now you’re telling them how to respond? It doesn’t make sense,” Vida argued.
