“I gave birth at the age of 41” – Nana Ama Mcbrown reveals

Star actress, Nana Ama McBrown jas revealed that she gave birth when she was 41.

Speaking on the DivaDocLetsTalk podcast, McBrown opened up about the painful experiences she endured on her journey to motherhood.

She recounted how she cried most of the time and compared herself to her colleagues in the industry who had already become mothers.

”Whiles building my career, I was crying because I had not given birth then.

When I see my mates, I was like, will I even give birth? After working towards it, I still wasn’t getting a child,” she recounted.

Luckily for her, through advancements in science and technology, McBrown managed to conceive through In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) at the age of 41.

”I was offered to chose between an IVF and surrogacy, but I said I will do an IVF first. Even if it was 5 times. If it doesn’t work then I will go for surrogacy

”Fortunately for me, I gave birth when I was 41,” she said.

However, despite her experiences, McBrown said she has no regrets over her past decisions.

”I don’t regret chasing my career before having children,” she said.

Paulina Oduro praised the Things Fall Apart hitmaker, highlighting his exceptional talent and undeniable contributions to the music industry.

“He is bigger than that and we know who he is, he is cute, handsome, and he can sing and rap, so he doesn’t need it,” she said.

Paulina Oduro further heaped more praises on Kinaata saying:

“Kofi Kinaata is my passion because he is from where I am from. From where he started, I am proud of him because he has taken the western region and Takoradi to a level where nobody has.

“This young man has done this on his own. By taking Takoradi on the map, I am like his mom.”

Ghanaian actress and television host, Nana Ama McBrown, intends to retire at the age of 50.

She opened up about her retirement plans in a recent interview.

McBrown said she would venture into farming if she eventually retires.

Nana Ama McBrown Reflects On Motherhood Journey, Says She Has No Regrets

Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has shared that she has no regrets about prioritizing her acting career before starting a family.

Speaking on the DivaDocLetsTalk podcast, McBrown revealed the emotional struggles she faced while trying to conceive. She admitted that seeing her colleagues become mothers while she was still childless often brought her to tears.

“While building my career, I cried because I hadn’t given birth yet. I would see my peers and wonder, ‘Will I ever have a child?’ Even after trying, it still wasn’t happening,” she recalled.

McBrown successfully conceived through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) at the age of 41.

“I was given the option of IVF or surrogacy, but I chose IVF first—even if it took five attempts. If it didn’t work, then I would consider surrogacy,” she explained.

Fortunately, her first IVF attempt was successful, and she gave birth at 41. Despite the challenges, McBrown remains confident in the choices she made.

“I have no regrets about focusing on my career before having children,” she affirmed.
