Kumawood actors were not vocal enough – Samuel Nyamkye speaks about President Mahama’s appointments

0

Samuel Nyamekye aka Miracle Films has stated that he wouldn’t be surprised if Kumasi-based actors who supported the National Democratic Congress (NDC) do not secure positions in the new John Mahama administration.

As argued by him, Kumawood actors were not as vocal or actively involved in the campaign compared to others who have now been appointed.

Speaking on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 with Tony Best, the veteran movie producer pointed out that if Kumawood actors had intensified their efforts during the election period, they might have had a better chance of landing key roles.

“You remember how Agya Koo and others took to the stage during the 2016 campaign, boldly expressing their views? If you compare that to NDC-affiliated Kumawood actors in 2024, they made an effort, but it wasn’t as significant as what Rex Omar and Abeiku Santana did,” he explained.

Mr. Nyamekye further noted that while some, including Sly, openly supported the party, their level of commitment was not as impactful.

“To me, if none of them is appointed, I wouldn’t be surprised. I would encourage them to go the extra mile next time to secure such opportunities,” he advised.

Doing The Right Thing Shouldn’t Depend On Political Affiliation – Fiifi Coleman To Ghanaians

0

At the time when almost everything is being politicized in the country, Ghanaian actor, Fiifi Coleman, has called on citizens to take personal responsibility and stand up for what is right, no matter their political affiliation.

In a recent interview on Okay FM, Coleman criticized the tendency of some Ghanaians to complain about problems without taking action.

“I’ve noticed that many people keep complaining about issues, expecting others to fix them. But why not step up and do it yourself?” he said.

He emphasized that integrity and doing the right thing should not be tied to any political party.

“If you stand for what is right, you don’t need to align with any party to do so,” he stated.

Coleman pointed to Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as a prime example of a dedicated public servant who has gained widespread respect, although he was appointed by Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.

“Look at IGP Dampare—everyone praises him. You’d think he would have been replaced by now, but he’s still there, working hard and earning admiration,” he noted.

He advised Ghanaians to focus on fulfilling their responsibilities with diligence and added that the public values competence over political allegiance.

“No matter your political affiliation, just do your job well. If you work diligently, Ghanaians will judge you based on your actions, not your party ties,” said Fiifi Coleman.

Delay mercilessly fires fan who told her to dress decently

Ghanaian media personality and successful entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, found herself in the middle of a heated social media exchange after a fan criticized her choice of clothing during a live session.

Delay, who was engaging her followers online while promoting some products, looked stunning as she confidently showcased the melons.

However, instead of focusing on her promotional efforts, some fans were more interested in her outfit.

She wore a form-fitting dress that accentuated her curves and revealed a bit of cleavage—a choice that did not sit well with a particular social media user.

The concerned fan questioned why Delay had chosen to wear such an outfit instead of opting for a more modest look.

Going a step further, he insinuated that she was dressing in a revealing manner because she was actively seeking a husband.

Unamused by the unsolicited commentary, Delay did not hold back in her response.

She swiftly shut down the remark and made it clear that her choices were hers alone and that no one, especially not a stranger on the internet, had the right to police how she dressed.

“You are not my husband to tell me how to dress. I make my own money, eat what I want, go where I want, and dress how I want. Mind your business!” she fired back.

The viral exchange serves as another example of how celebrities navigate public opinion and assert their personal choices in the face of criticism.
