Nana Addo, Osafo Marfo, Ken Ofori Atta and others are the problem of the NPP – Okatakyie Afrifa

Broadcaster and sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa has listed the names of some NPP bigwigs as the party’s problem.

Elections 2024 finally ended with EC Chairperson Jean Mensah declaring NDC’s flagbearer John Dramani Mahama as the winner and the President-elect.

Following this, some NPP followers and sympathisers apportioned blame to the party leaders for causing them to lose the elections with over 1.7 million vote margin.

Okatakyie Afrifa, who openly campaigned for the NPP, has also taken to his social media page to list some five big names in the NPP, claiming that they are the cause of the Party’s woes.

He listed current President Nana Addo, former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta, senior Minister Osafo Marfo, Nana Bediatuo Asante who is the secretary to the President and Gabby Otchere Darko who has also been seen as the prime Minister of Ghana by some section of Ghanaians.

He posted: “There is something peculiar about their heads. ??
NPP’s problem in 5 pictures. ??”

Agya Koo speaks after John Mahama’s victory

Veteran Ghanaian actor and staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter, Agya Koo, has reacted to the outcome of Ghana’s just-ended general elections.


Yesterday, 48 hours after the polls, the Electoral Commission officially declared John Dramani Mahama, leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), president-elect.

Before the declaration, Mahama had claimed victory after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat just 16 hours after voting.

In response to the announcement, Agya Koo took to social media to share his reflections and accompanied his post with an image of himself holding the Ghanaian flag.

“We thank God for a peaceful and successful election in our beloved Ghana. May His divine guidance lead our nation to greater heights. Let’s keep Ghana in our prayers!” the actor wrote.

Prince David Osei Congratulates John Mahama; Hints At His Presidential Ambition

Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has extended his congratulations to John Dramani Mahama, who has been declared the winner of Ghana’s 2024 presidential election.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), officially announced John Mahama as the president-elect.

The nationwide elections, held on Saturday, December 7, saw Mr. Mahama achieve a commanding victory. According to the EC, he garnered 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total. His closest competitor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), received 4,657,304 votes, or 41.61%.

Jean Mensa explained that results were declared from 267 of the country’s 276 constituencies. Outstanding issues delayed the collation of results in nine constituencies, totaling approximately 947,000 votes. However, she assured the public that even if all these votes were added to Dr. Bawumia’s tally, the outcome would remain unchanged.

In response to the declaration, Prince David Osei, known to be a sympathizer of the NPP, congratulated Mr. Mahama in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) and hinted at his own presidential aspirations.

He wrote: “Congratulations to the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana 🇬🇭… I will be president one day very soon. So, showing honor to whom honor is due, don’t get it twisted at all guys. I am different, and there’s nothing to be ashamed of here!”

Ghana’s Electoral Commission has declared John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

According to the official results collated from all 16 regions, Mahama secured 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total valid votes cast, defeating his main contender, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Dr Bawumia garnered 4,657,304 votes, which translates to 41.61%, while other candidates collectively amassed 205,721 votes or 1.84%.

NDC’s Malik Basintale allegedly stops two government appointees from travelling out of the country

The deputy communication officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, disclosed that two government appointees trying to leave Ghana were prevented.

With the NDC winning the 2024 Elections, some Ghanaians want the new government to investigate and prosecute Nana Addo’s government officials who have been engaged in corrupt practices.

Earlier, a former member of the NPP Hopeson Adorye, in a post on social media revealed he was hijacking the airport to prevent any current government official from leaving the country.

According to him, he wants them to remain in the country for the swearing-in of the next government so he can expose the evil things, which include stealing government money while in office.

In a separate post on social media, Malik Basintale has also reiterated that current government officials have no way out of the country unless they fly on the back of an eagle because those people would have to account for the people of Ghana.

His post reads: “Unless they escape on eagle backs, there is no room for them again around any border. Stay calm…We’ve caught 2 already????”
