Sister Derby Blasts Asiedu Nketia After He Urged Nana Akufo-Addo To Sign The Anti-LGBTQ Bill Into Law

Ghanaian-Romanian singer, Deborah Owusu-Bonsu, popularly known as Sister Derby, has chastised Asiedu Nketia over his remark about the anti-LGBTQ bill in Ghana.

The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who was speaking at a rally in the Ashanti Region, categorically stated that the party is against gay and lesbianism.

He added that all the religious bodies in the country are also against the activities of gays and lesbians in Ghana.

In this regard, Asiedu Nketia urged President Akufo-Addo to sign the anti-LGBTQ bill passed by Ghana’s parliament into law.

Following his statement, Sister Derby in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, tagged Mr Nketia as a hypocrite—and recounted that he wore a women’s coat in 2015 when he was on an official visit to Germany.

She wrote on X: “Ghanaian man, who in 2015 wore a women’s coat during an official visit to Germany, wants an anti-LGBTQ bill that will jail people for cross-dressing to become law. Hypocrisy!”

Roman Fada humorously reacted after the Electoral Commission of Ghana disqualified him from contesting in the 2024 Presidential elections in the country.

Following the death of Akua Donkor, the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) nominated Roman Fada, known in private life as Philip Appiah Kubi, to take over as the party’s flagbearer.

However, the Electoral Commission disqualified him on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

A report said the Electoral Commission detected many errors on his nomination forms.

“There were also illegalities on the forms,” TV3’s Crosby Annan reported.

The Commission also clarified they won’t change positions on the ballot papers.

Chair of the Commission Jean Mensa told the media that: “Votes for Madam Akua Donkor will be annulled.”

On the back of this, Roman Fada in a video sighted by Zionfelix.net urged Ghanaians to vote wisely.

He added that with or without disqualification, he was eating his fufu—with the camera capturing a bowl fufu after his disqualification.

Earlier, the Ghana Freedom Party notified the Electoral Commission about its new presidential candidate following the demise of Akua Donkor in a letter dated November 4, 2024.

Akua Donkor named Roman Fada as her running mate before she passed on.

The founder and previous Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) died at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on Monday, October 28.

Agya Koo has finally addressed Mr Beautiful’s wild allegations against him.
