It’s alarming that you can be arrested without bail after a protest – M.anifest joins #FreeTheCitizens campaign

0

Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has bemoaned the police’s denial of bail for some Democracy Hub protesters who were arrested on September 22, 2024.

In a post on X on October 2, 2024, M.anifest criticised the “punitive measure” exhibited by the police and slammed some Ghanaians for supporting the actions of the police.

“It’s actually very alarming that you can be held without bail for exercising your right to protest.

Even more concerning is your fellow Ghanaians agreeing with this blatant punitive measure under the guise of ‘law & order.’ E be your own people… until one day e reach dem,” M.anifest tweeted.

He also expressed his frustration with the current state of affairs in Ghana saying, “What will it take for real change to happen in this country?”

In another tweet, the rapper shared solidarity with those on the frontlines of the protest.

“Love to everyone on the frontlines and everyone amplifying. And to those poisoning the waters, literally and figuratively, posterity will have its say,” he tweeted.

M.anifest’s tweets come amid calls for the release of the 53 Democracy Hub protesters arrested during an anti-galamsey demonstration on September 22.

Medikal is alive, very healthy and kicking, but he is looking beyond life and speaking on what should be done if death lays its icy hands on him.

It’s unclear what is pushing the Ghanaian rapper to boldly embrace death and tell what he wants to be done when he gives up the ghost.

First of all, the ‘Too Risky’ rapper does not want any tears from anyone should he pass on.

He disclosed this in a random post on X ( formerly known as Twitter) when he said “When I die, make nobody cry.”

According to Medikal, he believes he has lived life to the fullest; hence, the tears over his death will not be worth it. “I’ve already lived life to the fullest!” he said in the post, adding, “I don’t want any funeral.”

Speaking about his family, Medikal, who has a child, Island, with Fella Makafui, disclosed that he has another and a new wife.

According to him, he wants his properties to be shared between them.

My close ones should make sure Island is good, my mum is good, and my new wife and kid should get 50 per cent of whatever I own,” he said.

“I don’t want to pretend & snatch somebody’s husband” – Empress Gifty

Gospel star, Empress Gifty, has been accused of intentionally jabbing Serwaa Amihere during a live interview.

During an appearance on GH ONE TV’s Lifestyle Show hosted by Serwaa Amihere, Empress Gifty stated that she would never have an affair with a married man.

This comment from Empress Gifty followed after Serwaa Amihere asked Empress if her husband was comfortable with how she behaved on social media.

Serwaa Amihere further asked Empress Gifty about how she dresses like an unbeliever while she’s a trumpeter of the word of God.

This straw broke the camel’s back leading to the indirect jab at Serwaa Amihere.
