Legendary Ghanaian actor and known supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alex Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, abruptly ended his performance at a funeral when a funeral attendant allegedly shouted in support of former President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a viral video shared on X, formerly Twitter, by EDHUB, the actor, who was performing with a live band at the funeral, stopped singing to address the attendant who shouted in support of John Mahama.
In the video, Agya Koo is seen explaining that some members of the music band are key members of the opposition NDC.
However, they have all come together to form a live band and have been allowed to perform at the funeral of an NPP member.
Pointing out one member of the band, Agya Koo said, “This lady used to be a teacher in the Central Region, but now she is an organiser in the NPP. The drummers you see here are also members of the NDC, but we are all doing one work and on the same team because we are all tolerant and are all Ghanaians.”
In an attempt to understand the rationale behind the chant, the actor questioned if elections would be taking place on the day of the funeral.

Ghanaian actor Dr. Likee, also known as Ackabenezzer, has opened up about the challenges he faces with his young crew.
The revelation came up during an interview with Poleeno of Poleeno Multimedia during meeting in London, following his recent appearance on the Kavod Show.
Dr. Likee shared his frustrations, specifically highlighting the issue of his boys failing to heed his advice.
He recounted a recent incident involving one of his boys, C Confin, who had been unwell. Concerned about his health, Dr. Likee advised C Confin to seek medical treatment at the hospital. “I noticed that he was not well and I told him to go to the hospital for treatment,” Dr. Likee disclosed, adding, “C Confine is a good kid, but he likes to party too much.”
The actor expressed his concerns about the lifestyle choices of his boys, particularly their penchant for partying. “Sometimes, when I am resting to get ready for the next day’s activities, I pick up information that my boys are partying at the night club and doing other stuff,” Dr. Likee lamented.
This behavior, he noted, not only affects their well-being but also disrupts the focus and discipline required for their work.
Dr. Likee, who currently has a team comprising young talents like Kyekyeku, 39/40, and many others, emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between fun and responsibility.
As their boss and mentor, he strives to guide them towards making better choices, but the challenge lies in their willingness to listen and act accordingly.
Ghanaian Highlife musician, K.K Fosu has come under heavy criticism following his remark about deceased blogger, John Claude Tamakloe.
If you would recall, the late Tamakloe died in a car accident that involved musicians, K.K Fosu and Bless.
He was laid to rest last weekend. K.K Fosu and Bless were not seen at the funeral—and this has triggered hefty chastisement targeted at them.
Following this, K.K reportedly told Sister Sandy in an interview on ADOM TV that he does not know John Claude—the reason why he did not attend his funeral.
While the criticisms have not ceased, Dada Hafco, a Ghanaian musician, has condemned the criticisms targeted at his colleague.
In a Facebook post sighted by Zionfelix.net, the ‘Puupuu’ singer admitted that Fosu did not react to his absence at the funeral well. However, he thinks critics should calm down with their criticisms.
“K.K may not have spoken well, but to say he’s an underground artiste and doesn’t have a hit song bla bla is too far overstretched…I wish he had issued a statement instead of speaking cos I know the struggles with K.K’s communication….
“I believe we can all help him do the needful and do better, but don’t WIPE away what’s he’s done or achieved….Asɛm na aba ntia😬,” he wrote.
Highlife musician KK Fosu has replied online critics over his absence at the funeral of Ghanaian blogger and publicist John Claude Tamakloe.
In his post on X (Twitter) KK Fosu wrote : “Elorm Beenie, you and your guys are very funny to play with my name, go to apam police station and fight for justice for our brother Claude, the one who hit us with his car is walking freely my boy, don’t play with fire, it will burn you.”
The service, held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tema Community 2, was attended by family, friends, and fellow bloggers.
The notable absence of the two artists sparked controversy, with some media personalities and fans expressing disapproval, as they were involved in the accident leading to Claude’s death, despite both having suffered broken legs during the incident.
According to a Facebook post by influencer Eric Toscar, a friend called KK Fosu’s manager to check if they were on their way to the funeral.
The manager reportedly questioned why the friend hadn’t reminded him of the event the day before, suggesting that the artists did not attend.
