Notorious Internet fraudster, Olalekan Jacob Ponle, alias Mr Woodberry, has entered a plea of guilt with the U.S. authorities, agreeing to surrender $8 million in proceeds of wire fraud as well as luxury cars and watches to the foreign government.
Mr Woodberry, who loved to flaunt his lavish lifestyle on Instagram, had at first pleaded not guilty to the eight-count fraud charge brought against him for engaging in a scheme known as business email compromise (BEC).

However, a plea declaration submitted at the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division on April 6 revealed Mr Woodberry had had a rethink and is now pleading guilty to count one of the indictments.
According to his plea agreement, he was required to repay the $8 million he fraudulently received from the seven companies that fell for his scam.
“The defendant understands that by pleading guilty, he will be subject to forfeiture to the United States all rights, title, and interest that he has in any property constituting or derived from proceeds obtained, directly or indirectly, as a result of the offense,” stated the document containing Mr. Ponle’s signed plea declaration.
Mr. Ponle was also asked to waive his rights to the luxury cars, and designer watches he had stashed in Dubai.
The high-end automobiles include Rolls Royce Cullinan with vehicle no J9153, Lamborghini Urus (N4973), and Mercedes-Benz G-class (G68816).

Other items seized are four Rolex watches, one Patek Philippe watch, three Audemars Piguet watches, three gold and diamond-studded earrings, and six gold neck chains.
Last year, he had forfeited 151.8 Bitcoin, roughly $6 million, to the American government, determined to recover all stolen monies from the Nigerian fraudster.
Mr. Ponle was arrested in Dubai on June 10, 2020, alongside Ramon Hushpuppi Abbas, currently serving an 11-year sentence for a similar fraud charge.

A section of netizens, especially, tweeps have been bashing her in the last few hours over a video she shared online to promote a particular product.

While some might argue that she is probably just doing an advertisement to get some good money for herself, a lot of tweeps believe that an advertisement about a product that purportedly charms men to do the bidding of women is a no-go area.
In the video she shared on her social media pages, Hajia Bintu is heard suggesting that any woman who purchases the products will have men gifting her huge sums of money once she comes in contact with them whether via sexual intercourse or just a handshake.
She added that male sponsors or as she puts it ‘Papa No’ who prove stubborn when asked for money will succumb to a woman who uses the said product.
She listed the names of these products as: “Fuck & Stay, Attraction To Rich Men, Love & Pay, Love Me Alone, and Do As I Say.”
The people who took exception to the products and the things Hajia Bintu claims they can do took to their social media platforms to react and call her out.
Reacting to this, musician Archipalago has expressed his utter disgust at the TikToker for advising young ladies on how to use charm on rich men to get whatever they want.
In a self-made video, Archipalago angrily blasted Hajia Bintu and insisted that she must not be allowed to initiate young ladies into whoredom under the guise of selling charm products to ladies.

Camidoh’s manager George Mensah Britton, has emphatically stated that his artiste is the potential winner for this year’s VGMA ‘Artiste Of The Year’ award.
According to Geroge Britton, the only one who can snatch the prestigious award from Camidoh is Black Sherif.
Speaking on Class 91.3 FM’s ‘The Big Show’ with Nana Kwesi Asare, Britton stated that he’s sure that Camidoh will emerge triumphant on the night of this year’s VGMAs.

He said;
For him to be nominated in that [Artiste of the Year] category means it’s a possible win,” he also said. However, even if the ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker does not win, Mr Britton sees the nomination as “a big leap.”
For the 2023 VGMAs Artiste of the Year category, “If I’ll actually be honest,” he said, “I think the only competition there [for Camidoh] will probably be Black Sherif.”
Apart from the ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker, George Britton does not see “anybody like that [in the category]” being trouble for his artiste.
Britton also expressed his belief that Camidoh’s nomination alone is a significant achievement, considering that the singer-songwriter was an underground artiste just two years ago. He commended Camidoh for his hard work and investment in his craft, which has resulted in his rise to the top.
“two years ago an underground artiste but has over the period,” worked his way to the top, with “a lot invested in him.”
While acknowledging that all nominees in the Artiste of the Year category are deserving, Britton singled out Black Sherif as Camidoh’s main competition. He believes that none of the other nominees in the category pose a significant threat to Camidoh’s chances of winning.
“Everyone there [in the category] deserves to win,” especially since they have “been counted as the top guys in the country within a period…”
