“It Is An Embarrassment” – Vida Adutwumwaa Slams Women Stirring Trouble At Lumba Court Hearings

0

Concerns over disruptions at the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding Daddy Lumba’s funeral have intensified, with entertainment critic Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng calling for immediate intervention from the musician’s family and relevant authorities.

During a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz, Vida expressed frustration at the repeated scenes of chaos created by groups of women who appear at the courthouse during each hearing. She argued that their conduct is no coincidence and may even be orchestrated.

“I’m starting to believe that the women have been contracted to cause trouble at the court hearing. If it is not contractual, why do they always go there and all they do is cause trouble? The family must stop them because it is an embarrassment to Daddy Lumba and his legacy,” she said.

Her remarks followed the circulation of social media videos showing market women confronting and verbally abusing a man identified as the father of Lumba’s mistress, Odo Broni. The footage has sparked public concern about rising tensions around the case.

Vida Adutwumwaa also appealed to the family to ensure stronger security measures when the court delivers its final judgment next week. She warned that the recurring confrontations could escalate without police oversight.

“This week the family head was whisked away in a police car before he could leave the court, so the family must get the police on the court premises to avoid any danger at the final judgement next week,” the entertainment critic further stated.

Court extends deadline for hearing in Daddy Lumba’s case

The Kumasi High Court Five has extended the deadline for concluding hearings in the highly publicised case challenging the legality of the marriage between highlife musician Charles Kojo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) and Akosua Serwaa Fosuh.

Presiding judge Justice Dorinda Smith Arthur moved the deadline from November 21, 2025, to Tuesday, November 25, 2025, due to incomplete proceedings.

Counsel for the plaintiff, Mrs. Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, was unable to finish the cross-examination of the only witness for the first defendant, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu.

Court proceedings were also hampered by intermittent power cuts, which lasted about 20 to 30 minutes each. Earlier, the hearing faced an hour’s delay awaiting a scholar from the Manhyia Palace summoned to educate the court on Akan marriage, divorce, and funeral rites.

During cross-examination, Abusuapanin Owusu, the first defendant, admitted he was not personally close to Daddy Lumba and had limited knowledge of his personal affairs.

However, he maintained that the information in his witness statement—regarding the marriage to the plaintiff and the second defendant, Odo Broni—was gathered through his own investigations and family sources.

Abusuapanin Owusu claimed that the plaintiff returned the head-drinks to the deceased’s family, an act he said signified a divorce, though he did not personally witness the exchange. He stated his investigations confirmed that Daddy Lumba later married the second defendant, Odo Broni, in 2010 and had six children with her.

He added that the deceased became ill about 10 years after moving to Germany and later returned to Ghana due to poor health. Abusuapanin Owusu stated that the plaintiff was absent when the musician’s condition worsened, and it was during this period that the second defendant took care of him until his recovery.

“Daddy Lumba Has Been Handcuffed, Tragedy Will Happen If We Bury Him On December 13” – Kumchacha Alleges

0

The controversy surrounding the final funeral rites of late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known as Daddy Lumba, has taken a dramatic spiritual turn.

Popular Ghanaian cleric Prophet Kumchacha has issued a dire warning, claiming that burying the singer on the scheduled date of December 13, 2025, will lead to tragedy.

Prophet Kumchacha made the sensational revelation on UTV’s United Showbiz on November 22, 2025, amidst the ongoing legal and family disputes that have already cast doubt on the funeral date.

The prophet stated that he had seen the late singer in his dreams on at least two occasions, describing a distressing vision.

“Daddy Lumba’s spirit is depressed as I speak, and I have had multiple dreams,” Kumchacha asserted. “He is crying and in shackles in the spiritual world.”

Based on this purported spiritual encounter, the prophet pleaded for the burial date to be changed, stating that he had “foreseen a disaster from the spiritual realm.”

Kumchacha warned that the implications of proceeding with the burial on the chosen date would be severe, extending beyond the family to impact the wider world due to the spiritual circumstances involved.

He stressed: “Tragic events will occur both spiritually and physically if they attempt to bury him on December 13. The funeral needs to be rescheduled until the sixth month of the next year [June 2026].”
