Today, Wednesday, October 17 marks the birthday of self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy, who can be described as his arch-rival has sent out a beautiful and hilarious birthday message to him.

As the controversial artiste turned a year older, despite the years of unending rivalry between them, Stonebwoy took time to celebrate his Zylofon Music Label colleague in an interview he granted Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

When the host of Daybreak Hitz, Andy Dosty told Stonebwoy that today is the birthday of Shatta Wale, he said “Brother has come a long way. Happy birthday… how old is he now?” he jokingly quizzed about his age. When he was told Shatta might be 34 today, Stonebwoy again jokingly asked if that is his football age.

Asked if he will call Shatta Wale or visit him, Stonebwoy had a very interesting answer. “For security reasons,” the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker jokingly said he won’t call or visit him. “I can’t put on that surprise again,” he said.

This answer from Stonebwoy is purposely in connection with comments by Head of Artists and Repertoire (A&R) at Zylofon Music that he refused to allow Samini and Stonebwoy to perform at Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign Album’ launch concert. According to Bulldog, known in real life as Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, he didn’t allow them to perform at the concert because of security concerns.
