Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has reportedly bagged a double at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) held in Florida, USA.
The revelation was made by his former manager turned Public Relations Officer, Sammy Flex, through an official statement released by Shatta Movement Music Production.
According to the statement dated May 18, 2026, the self-acclaimed African Dancehall King secured two major awards at the prestigious event held over the weekend in the United States.
The statement indicated that Shatta Wale won the awards for Best African Dancehall Entertainer and Concert of the Year for his 2025 ShattaFest.
Management, in the statement, expressed appreciation to the organizers of the IRAWMA Awards for recognizing Shatta Wale’s contribution to African music and for their continued support of African acts on the global stage.
The statement also extended gratitude to fans across the world, especially members of the Shatta Movement fraternity, for their unwavering support, votes, and dedication over the years.

Interestingly, the international triumph comes just days after Ghana’s 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, an awards scheme Shatta Wale has stayed away from for several years after opting out of participation following his fallout with Stonebwoy.
Despite his long-standing absence from the awards scheme, the dancehall star still enjoyed recognition at the event through rapper Medikal’s hit song “Shoulder,” which features Shatta Wale.
The song picked up three awards at the ceremony, including the Most Popular Song of the Year.
