Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy has showered praise on fellow musician Sarkodie, describing him as the biggest rapper in Africa.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Bhim Nation President, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, shared how he first got to know Sarkodie during their time in senior high school.
According to Stonebwoy, both artists attended the same school, and he first heard about Sarkodie through a friend who spoke highly of his rap talent.
“That is my guy from the same Senior High School,” Stonebwoy said.
“We were in the same school when my guy told me that he had heard of one Sarkodie who is in the school that he goes to on that program.”
Stonebwoy recalled that Sarkodie was already making a name for himself through appearances on Dr. Duncan’s weekend show, a platform many upcoming artistes hoped to feature on at the time.
He admitted that while he was still relatively unknown then, he admired Sarkodie’s growing reputation in the music scene.
The award-winning dancehall musician did not hold back in praising Sarkodie’s influence and legacy in African music.
“The biggest rapper in Africa as far as I’m concerned, is Sarkodie,” Stonebwoy stated.
