By 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak will have given up on her goal to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking session by a single person.

Her management says the decision is based on their opinion and what’s best for the cook.

However, Chef Failatu’s management claims that the chef claimed she wanted to keep cooking even after her medical team said she was healthy enough to do so, but they persuaded her to accept their choice and stop the run.

Going forward, her management revealed that they would be an after-party to thank the people of Ghana for all their help as she tried to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking run by a single person.

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, who lives in Tamale in the northern region, is starting the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest cooking run by a single person.

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak now holds the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, beating the record set by Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, better known as Mama D. The new record is 144 hours and 20 minutes.

Since then, Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak has worked more than 200 hours and is set to finish in 240 hours.
