“EVAG has grown and evolved tremendously in two years, courtesy of the executive board and members of the association. To this, we will hold an awards and gala night, in honour of our professionals who have significantly excelled and proven their skills even amidst a global pandemic”.

According to her, the Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the Events Industry which necessitates a call on government to recognize the stakeholders since they contribute massively to the country’s GDP.

“We were privileged to have a host of international speakers grace the first ever GEIC conference last year, in Accra-Ghana. This year however, due to COVID-19 we are unable to have a full conference package like we previously did” she said.

She further urged all Ghanaians to assist for the successful execution of the event.

The launch of the event took place on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at the Thea Villa Hotel in Accra.
