A long-running public spat between two prominent Ghanaian pastors has taken a legal turn, with Prophet Nigel Gaisie heading to court over remarks he says have damaged both his reputation and ministry.
The founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel has filed a lawsuit at the High Court in Amasaman against Prophet Nicholas Osei, widely known as Kumchacha, seeking GH¢10 million in damages for alleged defamation.
The case marks the latest development in a feud that has unfolded over several years through television discussions, interviews, and social media exchanges.
According to court documents that have surfaced online, Nigel Gaisie argues that Kumchacha repeatedly made statements that cast doubt on his character and questioned the legitimacy of his prophetic work.
Among the allegations highlighted in the suit are claims attributed to Kumchacha suggesting that the prophet relies on information gathered through individuals strategically positioned within church congregations. The information, he allegedly claimed, is later presented as divine revelation during prophetic ministration.
The filing further references comments that allegedly branded Nigel Gaisie a false prophet and challenged the authenticity of his spiritual calling.

Nigel Gaisie maintains that the repeated remarks have caused significant reputational damage, exposing him to public ridicule while diminishing his credibility among Christians and the general public.
He also contends that the controversy has strained certain personal relationships and affected the confidence some members of his church have in his leadership.
Court records indicate that efforts were made over the years to resolve the matter outside the courtroom. However, the prophet says those attempts failed to produce a satisfactory outcome, leading him to seek legal redress.
As part of the action before the court, Nigel Gaisie wants a declaration that statements allegedly made by Kumchacha in videos circulated on social media are defamatory.
He is also asking the court to compel Kumchacha to publicly withdraw the comments and issue an apology.
Furthermore, the Prophetic Hill founder is seeking GH¢10 million in damages, arguing that the alleged publications have inflicted substantial harm on both his personal reputation and ministry.
