King Paluta will go back to underground for another 88 years – Bulldog

Ghanaian music executive and entertainment critic Bullgod has delivered a scathing critique of rising rapper King Paluta, following a viral incident at the All-White Boat Party in London on June 29, 2025.

During his performance at the high-profile event, King Paluta abruptly paused his set to hurl insults at a female attendee in the crowd, reportedly frustrated by her lack of engagement.

The incident was captured on video and has since stirred widespread backlash online, with many questioning the artist’s composure and professionalism.

Reacting to the controversy during an appearance on United Television (UTV), Bullgod minced no words in his assessment of King Paluta’s behavior.

“That is why he was underground for 15 years, and he will go back for another 88 years,” Bullgod stated bluntly. “What he did was highly unprofessional and shows he still lacks the maturity to handle fame.”

Bullgod also used the opportunity to address what he described as a troubling trend in Ghana’s celebrity culture, where emerging talents are often overwhelmed by sudden stardom.

“From day one, we hype them up, place them in luxurious cars they’ve never driven before, and surround them with beautiful women and flashy clothes. They forget it’s all an illusion and start to believe they are actual stars,” he said.

While King Paluta has yet to issue a public apology or statement, the fallout from the incident continues to grow, with some fans calling for better grooming and mentorship for Ghanaian artistes abroad.

The All-White Boat Party was intended to be a celebration of Ghanaian music in the diaspora, but the disruption has raised fresh concerns about artist behavior and industry standards. Whether this episode will serve as a wake-up call for King Paluta remains to be seen

It’s No More A Fun Game – Kuami Eugene Calls Out Industry Neglect Over Song Writing

0

Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer, Kuami Eugene, has opened up about what he sees as a troubling culture of uncredited work and broken promises within the music industry. Despite penning hit songs for a number of artistes, he says recognition, or even fair compensation, is often withheld.

Speaking in an interview with 3FM, the former Lynx Entertainment signee didn’t mince words about the frustration of watching his contributions go unacknowledged after trusting that credit would eventually be given.

“Some songs that I wrote that we thought, you know what, they’ll do the needful later and it was in my face afterwards. Like so many songs that if I say I’ll make mention of, you would be like, okay, so they didn’t give you a cut for this. And if I have to take all of them on, it would look like he’s a bad one,” he said.

While Kuami Eugene has allowed many infractions to slide, he admitted to confronting certain artistes who took advantage. Among those he named was Mr Drew, whom he approached directly about the issue.

“Some of them, I took them on. Like Mr. Drew, I took him on and some of them, I figured, you know, just let it go. So, with all these ones or twos, I have, okay, now it’s no more fun game with all of us. Let’s work. If you look at this, of course, this is the hook. What is my cut? Put it here, put it here, my lawyer will give you a call,” he said, highlighting a shift in how he handles such matters.

Nonetheless, Kuami Eugene expressed hope that the industry is evolving, noting that newer artistes seem to have a firmer grasp on business ethics and proper conduct.

“So, I love the fact that this new generation of, I mean, new artistes understand this thing to the brim,” he further stated.

“I have been to a place where someone said to my face that I am behaving like I don’t have issues and if trouble comes my way, they will spread it and make fun of it,” he shared.

Despite the negativity, Nketsiah said he remains undeterred. In his view, the rumours are merely a reflection of envy and bitterness.

“I asked the person what he would get if I entered into trouble. I have however realized that such people are full of hatred. That also taught me to embrace myself in such a situation,” the gospel artiste explained.

Focusing instead on his music and faith, the gospel star said his only aim is to fulfil his God-given purpose.

“My prayer is that I will be able to make good use of the talent given to me by God,” he added.

Kalybos Points Out Economic Mismanagement And Party Disconnect As The Cause Of NPP’s 2024 Defeat

0

Ghanaian actor and comedian Richard Asante, widely known as Kalybos, has shared his perspective on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss in the 2024 general elections. He said the defeat did not come as a surprise. Even though he’s a staunch supporter of the party, the entertainer believes the outcome was largely self-inflicted.

During a recent discussion on Showbiz A-Z with Kwame Dadzie, Kalybos stated that many Ghanaians saw the loss coming, especially as the NPP struggled to address mounting economic hardships during its final years in power.

“We all saw what the economic hardship was. I am a full party person but when it is A you need to say A. There was a problem. There was someone who would not listen,” he remarked.

The actor further cited both internal disarray within the party and the electorate’s pattern of political change as contributing factors. He explained that Ghana’s democratic cycle often swings in favor of a new administration every eight years, especially when the incumbent falls out of touch with the people.

“With our democratic system here, it looks like every eight years, the people will bring in a new government. And it depends on how peeved people are during your last term. And we can all attest to it. This is no party bit. It was in shambles.”

Kalybos continued by highlighting the party’s loss of direction: “It was in a mess, for a lot of things going bad. It was bound to happen, let me just put it that way, so they would sit down and think about all that has gone on. It got to a time they weren’t really for the people. That is where I think the problem came from. And now I think they are righting their wrongs and I think they will do better.”

Agradaa’s daughter makes Ghanaians emotional as she sings at church

In the midst of her mother’s legal woes and 15-year jail sentence, Rihanna, the daughter of controversial televangelist Nana Agradaa, has captured the hearts of many with a stirring gospel performance at the Heaven Way Champion International Ministries.

During Sunday’s service, Rihanna was allowed to minister to the congregation through song, and she did not disappoint.

With grace and confidence, she took the stage and delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Defe Defe,” the chart-topping gospel hit by Team Eternity Ghana.

Singing with a sweet yet commanding voice, Rihanna led the congregation in worship, accompanied by a live band and backing vocalists who joined in during the chorus and key sections of the song.

The emotional atmosphere in the church was unmistakable, as the performance visibly moved worshippers.

The video of the moment, which has since gone viral on social media, shows Rihanna standing at the pulpit, eyes closed in reverence, pouring her soul into every line of the song.

Her composure and vocal prowess drew admiration from viewers online, many of whom praised her for remaining strong and spiritually anchored during a turbulent period for her family.

The performance came just days after her mother, born Patricia Asiedua and popularly known as Nana Agradaa, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labour over multiple counts of fraud.

The conviction has rocked her church and sparked national conversations about religious scams and accountability in Ghana’s faith-based institutions.
