Actor and model Toosweet Annan has reacted to a claim by his colleague, Victoria Lebene that he is a womanizer.

Miss Lebene on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix posited that Mr. Annan is a womanizer and would not love to have such a guy in her life. The photo model who chuckled after Zionfelix, host of the show mentioned Toosweet Annan as one of the male stars she can crush on added that he also has a lot of women around him. When asked if her comment meant Toosweet Annan is a philanderer, she hurriedly answered: “oh yes”.

The actor on the same show has denied the claim by Victoria Lebene stating that ladies rather chase him. Toosweet was shocked to hear that he’s been tagged as a womanizer because “I’ve never proposed to her (Victoria) before so I don’t know why she is accusing me of that”

“It is ladies who rather love me or I first show interest in them?” he asked.

He explained that countless ladies chase him is as a result of his celebrity status so people should not be surprised if he makes such a statement. Toosweet who told Zonfelix, host of the show that he has a four-year old daughter continued that he hardly entertain guys around him because of past experiences so he is mostly seen around ladies and that might also contribute to the perception people have that he is a playboy.

Followers of Ghanaian actress Ingrid Alabi can heave a sigh of relief as they have yet another opportunity to see their star back on the big screens.

The beautiful actress is returning to the screens in an unusual style, not just as an actress but also as a producer and musician.

She is releasing her first-produced movie titled ‘Adam The Eve’, together with her music, which is the theme song for the movie. 

According to Ingrid, it has always been her passion to act, sing and also own her personal production house. The new production won’t be her last.

“Music was actually my first love but I, unfortunately, the lost the interest since back in the days the music industry wasn’t favourable to females. Besides the kind of music I wanted to do then, Ghanaians were not really exposed to that style of music. So it was a bit of a struggle to fit in and unfortunately, I lost the interest. However, your first love will always be your love so I’m back. I intend pursuing music again,” she added.

Ingrid has been off the movie scene since 2010, travelling in and out of the country. Her coming back is expected to excite those who follow her.

The new movie features some of Ghana’s seasoned actors like Majid Michel, Roselyn Ngissah and Peter Richie.

‘Adam The Eve’ seeks to educate Ghanaians, especially married couples, to be content with what they have. It will be premiered on September 1 at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra, Kumasi and London.

Ingrid has been in Ghana’s showbiz industry for over a decade. She was the first runner-up of Miss Ghana 2004 and subsequently featured in a number of Ghanaian movies.

She entered the industry 2007 after her debut in Venus Film’s ‘Tears Of Woman’.

She has subsequently played roles in other movies like ‘Playboy’, ‘Girls Connection’, ‘Prince Pride’ and a host of others. She told journalists that ‘Adam The Eve’ won’t be her last production.

An Accra District Magistrate Court has convicted two employers, for failing to pay Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contributions of their workers.

Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Director of Sparrow Productions Limited, failed to pay the SSNlT contributions of her workers, while Sachin Kupta Gapta, an Indian businessman in charge of Paratham International Limited, did not register with SSNIT to pay the contribution of workers.

They were each fined GH¢600, in default they would serve 14 days imprisonment.

Prosecuting, Nana Akua Annimwaa Thompson of the Trust, told the court, presided over by Dr. Worlanyo Kotoltu that Sparrow Productions Limited failed to pay Social Security of workers totalling GH¢64, 203.52.

The court heard that the company, located at Kokomlemle, Accra, provides advertising services.

Mrs. Manso, was not in court last Saturday when judgment was pronounced, but her representative, Kenneth Attoh, a director of the company, was convicted on his admission of guilt.

The court, further ordered the management of Sparrow to settle its indebtedness.

According to Nana Thompson, the company was in arrears between September 2011 and June 2016, adding that the employer was notified of her indebtedness, but she did not comply.

In the case of the Indian businessman, the prosecutor said Gupta did not register his company with SSNIT, contrary to Section 83(1)(a)(h) of the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766) as amended by section 7 of the National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2014 (Act 883).

Mr. Gupta was convicted on his plea of guilty.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Josephine l Osafo-Affum, Legon Branch Manager of SSNIT, said the Trust had begun mass prosecution of defaulters.

She said employers were mandated to honour SSNlT contributions of their employees at the end of every month, and warned that those who would default would be dealt with.

Ghanaian music producer Annane Frimpong popularly called Frimprince has laid his mother, Madam Georgina Abena Oforiwaa to rest.

Final funeral rite of the late happened on Saturday, August 10 at Konongo in the Ashanti Region. Zionfelix.net at the funeral saw many entertainers who were at the event to support Frimprince say goodbye to his mum. Renowned individuals Zionfelix.net saw at the funeral on August 10 included gospel musicians Mary Agyemang, Phillipa Baafi, Diana Asamoah and Cindy Thomson. Other personalities included Kwaku Twumasi, Ajos, GHAMRO led by Bandex, members of music producers association, chiefs, MPs and many others.

Phillipa Baafi, Mary Agyemnag, Diana Asamoah performed at the funeral of Eno Foowaa.

Madam Georgina Abena Oforiwaa expired on February 4 this year at Konongo Government Hospital after short illness. She died at age 86.

The late left behind five children and twenty-five grandchildren. Frimprince, CEO of Frimprince Music Production is Eno Fowaa’s fourth child.

Mr Annane Frimpong has worked with several renowned Ghanaian musicians including Kwabena Kwabena, Castro and many others. He’s currently the exectuive producer of gospel musicians Diana Asamoah and Mary Agyemang.

VRMG boss Edem is desolated over the takeover of two commercial banks – UT Bank and Capital Bank by the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB).

A press statement by the Bank of Ghana on Monday, August 14 announced that “GCB BANK LTD TAKES OVER UT BANK LTD AND CAPITAL BANK LTD” but the rapper thinks it is a wrong move initiated by the central bank of Ghana. Edem in a tweet after the sad news went viral stated that the decision to revoke the license of these two commercial banks will make people lose interest in businesses owned by Ghanaians.

He asked top officials to support “our own”.

“I am sad..Issues like this would continue to make ppl loose confidence in Ghanaian owned businesses….Not a good one..Let’s support our own” Edem tweeted Monday afternoon.” he tweeted.

The action of BoG to revoke their license was triggered by the inability of the two banks to turn around their negative capital adequacy position which has lingered on for some time now.

Becca and Zylofon Media have successfully organised a listening session for the songstress’ yet-to-be-released album, ‘Unveiling’.

The event happened on Friday, August 11 at Carbon Nite Club. Some of the top stars that were at the ‘Unveiling’ album listening included Yvonne Okoro, Trigmatic, James Gardiner, Tosweet Annan, Kumi Guitar, Sandra Ankobiah, Eddie Nartey, DJ Spinall from Nigeria and many others.

Becca’s ‘Unveiling’ album has 13 songs. Sammy Flex, PRO for Zylofon Media told Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show Monday, August 14 that the Becca’s latest album will be out on August 18 this year.

Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of entertainment company, Zylofon Media did not present $10,000 to highlife musician Jewel Ackah as reported.

The business mogul gave the musician more than the said amount. Zionfelix.net can say. Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communication at Zylofon Media speaking on Radio Univers’ mid-morning entertainment show, Brunch2Lunch disclosed that Jewel Ackah was given $10,100.

Sammy Flex as he is fondly called told host of the show, Zionfelix on Monday morning that he realised the ready cash was more than the promised amount after they counted it at Mr. Ackah’s house.

“we thought the money was $10,000 but when we reached Jewel Ackah’s house and counted it, it was more than that. There was an additional $100 making it $10,100,” he stated.

The PRO further disclosed that in addition to the gargantuan money they gave him, the recording studio of Zylofon Media is always opened to the legend for recording.

Narrating what pushed his boss to give the amount to the “Kyere Mase” hitmaker, he said Nana Appiah Mensah after listening to Jewel Ackah share his sorrow on Peace FM was touched and decided to help in his little way. When asked if the boss of Zylofon Media would check on Jewel to ensure if the money was used for the right purpose, he replied, “I don’t think Nana Appiah Mensah’s idea is for the man to account for the cash. He just did what God asked him to do so however Jewel will use the money is not his business.”

Sammy Baah also refuted claims that Nana Appiah Mensah donated the amount to insult the intergrity of NDC.
