Vivian Jill Lawrence, first son Clinton and last born

Versatile Ghanaian actress Vivian Jill Lawrence has denied reports that the founder of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim assured her of a child when she was struggling to have her second baby.

The actress who gave birth to her second son, Alfie Nana Amponsah Okobeng on February 23 in USA speaking to Zionfelix.net Friday morning said: “I’ve never been to Obinim’s church and I never contacted him for a child”. The worried actress continued that she spoke to the man of God after an unfortunate incident happened three years ago but not when she was facing problems with pregnancy.

Explaining further, Vivian disclosed that she had the chance to talk to Bishop Obinim after Ananse, a filmmaker who used to work at OBTV passed away. According to her, the family of the late needed her advice and that of Bishop Obinim and that brought them into contact. The mother of two continued that the man of God encouraged her to believe in God in times of trouble but never talked about her pregnancy issues because she was not expecting a baby then.

She added that there was no instance where the two had a conversation about her miscarriage so she cannot fathom why she would wake up to read reports that Bishop Obinim prophesied to her that she would deliver despite her troubles.

“I never contacted Obinim for a child and I’ve never been to his church. He told me something years ago and that is what I said that people have misquoted me saying Obinim gave me a child. What we talked about was never about my pregnancy. I wasn’t even pregnant at the time. This issue I’m talking about happened like three years ago. I’ve seen Obinim just twice in my entire life” She told Zionfelix.net.

Vivian Jill was reported to have said that “I gave birth because of Bishop Obinim’s advice”.

Trigmatic Is Ignorant – GHAMRO Hits Back

5

The Public Relations Officer for GHAMRO, Prince Tsegah has hit back at rapper Trigmatic for talking against the organisation’s decision to collect royalties from churches.

The musician was reported to have described a decision by the Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) for churches to pay royalties as ‘airheaded’, ‘lazy’ and an ‘unthinkable’ decision.

Tsegah on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show hosted by Zionfelix reacting to Trigamtic’s comment described him as an ignorant human being who does not know the laws of the country. According to him, the laws of the land allow Ghana Music Right Organization to visit churches and collect royalties for using works of Ghanaian musicians.

He added that his outfit can bend the rules and not fully enforce it because there are several other laws that govern the land but are not implemented.

“I read a headline which suggested that Trigmatic is insulting us that we are lightheaded, unthinkable and lazy. He’s clearly ignorant of whatever is going on because whatever we are doing is in the laws of Ghana. We can bend the rules because there are other laws in the country we do not enforce because of various reasons” Prince Tsegah told Zionfelix.

You don’t know what she is going through. Whether it is someone who has hacked her account or she is doing it herself, we cannot say.

You can tell all is not going on well with the sister so rather than circulating her pictures and insulting her, why don’t we pray for her?” worried David Osei said in the minute instagram video.

Attempt To Collect Royalties From Churches Is Abomination – Piesie Esther To Ghamro

1

One of the prolific female gospel musicians, Piesie Esther, has taken serious swipe at GHAMRO on its decision to collect royalties from churches, describing the attempt as abomination.

The ‘Agye Wonsem’ hit maker made the statement on Adom Entertainment Hall show last Saturday.

In an interview with the Host of Adom Entertainment Hall, Mike’2′, Piesie said, Ghanaians who pay taxes are very people who are the members of the church hence need not to pay any royalty.

According to her, the church normally gives the artistes invited to its programmes some transportation and need not pay anything to GHAMRO.

“Those who pay taxes at home are the same people who go to church. We the musiciana are sometimes given fuel when invited to perform at churches. After taking this token and then GHAMRO also goes back to take royalties which wouldn’t be fair to the churches. GHAMRO should hold on with plans to let churches pay royalties”, she cautioned

She further added that, there are certain things that must not be done in church even though they (musicians) need money to support their works.

Piesie Esther, who recently donated some assorted food items to Mephibosheth Training Centre (MTC) at Apam Junction in the Central Region said, there are many other areas the organization could enforce its mandates to generate more income to give to its members than this initiative.

“Not all money is to be consumed. The house of God is there to praise Him and worship Him, is God who gives us the strength to write and sing the songs so after this if you take royalties,  I think it is unfair. They should not attempt  taking any royalties. It is an abomination to even think of taking royalties from the churches”, she added.
