Synopses:

Just few days after being honored by HE Ron Strikker, ambassador for the United Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ghana, multiple award-winning musician Bisa K’dei has been appointed as an ambassador for Tourism in La Cote d’Ivoire.

Been one of the top African musicians headlining the 10th edition of Festival des Musiques Urbaines d’Anoumabo (FEMUA), Bisa Kdei who flew to La Cote d’Ivoire on Friday, April 28 2017 with his team and band was invited by top government officials for a lunch upon their arrival.

Almost all the musicians headlining the Festival including legendary Magic System, Singuila others were present at the lunch and Bisa Kdei without knowing how much he is worth to the Ivorians was honored as a tourism ambassador.

According to the citizens in La Cote d’Ivoire, Bisa Kdei’s music is the only music they listen to aside their usual Francophone style and having him in their country means so much to them that they wish he never goes back to Ghana.

Congratulations are certainly in order for Bisa Kdei..

Ghana Meets Naija Launches Tuesday

The 7th edition of West Africa’s biggest music concert, Ghana Meets Naija, launches in Accra on Tuesday, May 2.

Organizers, Empire, say the launch will take place at the Kokomlemle Corporate offices of leading Ghanaian bank and sponsors of this year’s event, uniBank.

Some known local names in the arts and entertainment industry are expected to be in attendance while other foreign ones will join in.

Excitement is already building up over what is expected to be a huge show this year. Empire have promised a uniquely golden concert look and feel this year.

In its 7th year, the Ghana Meets Naija concert is the biggest concert in the region that brings together, artistes from Ghana and Nigeria to a night’s celebration of music.

Usually oversubscribed, it has over the years hosted the likes of Wizkid, The Mavins headed by Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale among a tall list of A-List acts.

The 7th Ghana Meets Naija takes place in May.

The musician in a Facebook post on Saturday afternoon made several allegations against Awo Zutah. Enjoy what she wrote below:

“I can’t believe that you, Mrs Awo Zuta and your disciples started this whole rumor about Pastor Josh Laryea being involved in an immoral act for him to loose his ministry…

3years ago you couldn’t stop talking about how good it feels when he hugs or touches you and how you would prefer him as a husband over Eugene Zuta. When i got fed up and told your husband about it, you both ganged up against me and consequently forced me to quit the church.

Awo Zuta, was Pastor Josh’s office not your favorite hangout when you were supposed to be at work?! Awo gagaoga, Awo lesbian what went wrong? I still have the naked pictures you made me take of you, thinking i was also a lesbian but don’t worry i will not go that low to post them anywhere… Awo Zuta, are u happy now? You created a beautiful monster out of me so be prepared to deal with it because I’m not done yet!

And to all of you members of ICGC Doxa Temple who thought i was the devil sent from hell to destroy your church, now you know Awo and her gang are the devils so abeg bring me my ROCK!

Oh Pastor Josh, my disappointment is how you did nothing but watched me leave even though you told me that i did nothing wrong and confirmed your awareness of how Awo was spreading rumours to tarnish the image of her own husband. It serves you right! I want all my tithe back!”

The Mzbel-Josh Laryea issue is not ending anytime soon because there are several things the public has twisted and need to be corrected.

Zionfelix.net reported hours ago about Mzbel’s conversation with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM where she denied allegations that she had something to do with Pastor Josh Laryea when she was a member of ICGC. She went ahead to narrate how gospel musician Eugene Zutah and wife, Awo Zutah ganged up against her three years ago.

Hours after the publication, Mzbel contacted Zionfelix.net on phone to give full details of what happened three years ago when she was a member of the International Central Gospel Church. The ’16 Years’ singer during the 15-minute conversation with us said she called to let the world know that she never slept with the man of God who is currently on suspension. According to the singer, the public and some media men misinterpreted a post she made on Facebook after Josh Laryea’s suspension came into the public domain.

Again, Nana Akua Amoah Belinda as she is known privately revealed that ICGC did not kick her out of the church as was reported. She said it was some members of the church who made her stay at the church uncomfortable leading to her exit from the church.

Speaking about what made some church members give her cold shoulders, Mzbel told Zionfelix.net that Awo Zutah, Eugene Zutah’s wife told her that she is in a relationship with Josh Laryea. She continued that the lady’s constant visit to Josh Laryea confirmed what she told her, Mzbel.

“When I went to worship with ICGC, I did not really know much about religion so I was much into it. This made Awo Zutah like me very much so she felt comfotale around me and she started telling me so many things. She started giving me the impression that there is something going on between them (Josh Laryea and Awo Zutah), whether it is true or not I don’t know. Each time we are together she tells me about what Josh Laryea has been doing to her. It was weird to me because she is married. Going to church was a world cup for me so I saw her action as wrong.

Not just that, she was also saying worst things about her husband, marriage, and other things. I wanted to see things myself maybe she might be lying to me because she thinks I’m Mzbel. There were few times I went to Josh Laryea’s office for counseling and anytime I went, Awo Zutah would be in there for hours. You will wait for million hours and she will never step out.

After I saw this continuing, I reported to her husband. I told him what his wife has told me and what I’ve also witnessed so he should also investigate himself to ascertain the truth. Eugene Zutah said what I was saying was true.

We were very close before I told Eugene Zutah about what his wife told me and what I saw myself but in less than 24 hours after the conversation, Eugene Zutah, Awo Zutah and Edem ganged up against me. They said I wanted to collapse their marriage and also collapse the church that is why I accused the pastor and Awo of having an affair.

They started spreading me at the church so some membrs of ICGC started giving cold shoulders and that made me uncomfortable at the place so I left. I explained everything to Josh Laryea expecting him to support me but he never did.

Three years down the lane, these three people are the same guys who are spreading that Josh Laryea has involved in an immoral act with some girls and that has resulted this suspension.

So the issue is not about Josh Laryea sleeping with me. It is not ICGC that kicked me out but it is Mr. and Mrs. Zutah and Edem who started talking ill about me to others and that made me feel uncomfortable to leave the church” Mzbel told Zionfelix.net

Renowned gospel musician, SP Kofi Sarpong has successfully launched the maiden edition of ‘SP Kofi Sarpong Live In Concert.

The gospel concert expected to happen on May 28 at the National Theater in Accra according to boss of Media Excel Productions, Kwasi Ernest would be an annual event. The May 28 event will have numerous gospel musicians on the night to join SP Kof Sarpong minister. Acts who will support the King of Africa Borborbor include Ohemaa Mercy, Ceccy Twum, Nacee, Koda, Gifty Osei, Joyce Blessing, Francis Amoo, Abena Ruthy, Kingskid, Niella and a surprise gospel act from the United Kingdom.

Kofi Sarpong speaking at the launch, which happened on Thursday, May 27 in Accra, stated that the concert is to achieve two purposes.

“One is to announce that my music career and music ministry is transcending into a new level of higher professionalism, targeting new markets and enhancing the messages in the songs.

The second aim is to raise funds to support the underprivileged and have-nots in our society. Specifically, we intend to raise funds to support some 5000 underprivileged persons across the country, register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).”

Giant gospel musicians who were at the ‘SP Kofi Sarpong Live In concert”  concert launch included Gifty Osei, Cecce Twum, Francis Amo, Abena Ruthy, Niella, Kinskid and many others.

The ‘SP Kofi Sarpong Live In concert” is organised by Media Excel Production, the musician’s record label.

Movie lovers will again not throw their cash away when they rush to the Silverbirds Cinema at the Accra Mall and Westhills Mall this Saturday, April 29 to watch ‘A New Sun’ movie.

The yet-to-be-premiered movie features top and veteran Ghanaian movie stars like Kofi Adjorlolo, Fred Amugi, Kalsoume Sinare, Albert Davis Jackson and many others. The must-watch movie was directed by Philip Pratt.

Video: Angel Group Of Companies In Serious Trouble Over Adonko Bitters Concert In Kumasi

On Easter Monday, April 17 this year, Angel Group of Companies organised a mega concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

After the event, which had artistes like Shatta Wale, Bisa Kdei, Ofori Amponsah and other heavyweight musicians in the country rock thousands of Ghanaians, pictures of drunken event goers went viral on social media platforms. These photos have brought trouble for Angel Group of Companies, manufacturers of the alcoholic beverage and organisers of the event in Kumasi.

Food and Drug Authorities in a statement Zionfelix.net has chanced on has sanctioned the producers of Adonko Bitters.

Below is an unedited statement from Food and Drugs Authority.

“The FDA has sanctioned Angel Group of Companies, manufacturers of Adonko Bitters after a concert organized by the Company at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Easter Monday, April 17, 2017, left most of the youth passing out as a result of excessive intake of the alcoholic product.

FDA’s investigation confirmed that the criterion for gaining access to the concert was solely on condition that each individual purchased a 750ml bottle of the alcoholic beverage at a cost of GH¢10, a situation which resulted in the Alcoholic beverage being sold to minors as well. It also resulted in excessive consumption, clearly putting the consumers at risk of flouting the caution of drinking responsibly.
The situation also contravened Section 3.2.19 of the FDA Guidelines for the Advertisement of Food products which states that “No alcoholic beverage shall be advertised in relation to a public function where persons under the legal drinking age are likely to attend.”

The Company also contravened Section 3.2.12 of the FDA Guidelines for the Advertisement of Food products, which prohibits the use of well-known personalities in the marketing of alcoholic beverages by engaging Shatta Wale and Bisa Kdei in the promotion programme.

These acts exposed patrons to the said programme to unwarranted serious health risks bordering on public health. The FDA has consequently sanctioned the Company as follows:

  • With immediate effect, the FDA has suspended the Registration and Advertisement License of Angel Group of Companies whilst investigations into the incident continue.
  • The company has also been directed to recall the Product, Adonko Bitters, from trade and to furnish the FDA with details of the recall plan and subsequently, the progress of the recall plan.
  • The company is to pay an administrative charge of GH¢25,000 for failing to comply with the above regulatory requirements.

The FDA will not hesitate to impose further sanctions should Angel Group of Companies fail to comply with these sanctions.”

Still on the hundreds of revellers who had their senses knocked off by uncontrolled ‘dosage’ of Adonko Bitters during the annual Adonko Aseda Bash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Graphic reported days after the event that “Per the contract, the organisers were to ensure that no fan entered the inner perimeter and onto the pitch in order for it to be preserved for football matches.

Subsequently, the stadium authorities have impounded vehicles and equipment as well as slapped a GH¢ 5,000 penalty on the producers of Adonko Bitters for breach of agreement.

According to the Ashanti Regional Director of Sports of the National Sports Authority, Mr Richard Iddrisu Ewuntomah, the items would only be released to the organisers when they settle the penalty.”

It is no more news that Mzbel does not believe in Jesus Christ anymore so the big question has always been what led to that.

The singer has finally detailed why she is no more a Christian. Not just that, she also talked about what made her comment on Pastor Josh Laryea’s suspension at church. From her talks, Zionfelix.net deduced that both cases have the same cause.

The singer who was on Peace FM Thursday afternoon to promote her May Day free healthcare to over 2000 Ghanaians made it clear that she did not have any affair with Pastor Josh Laryea as people are speculating. She revealed that International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) booted her out of the church because of a conversation she had with Awo Zutah, wife of gospel musician Eugene Zutah.

Mzbel told Kwasi Aboagye, host of the show that Mrs Zutah made a shocking revelation about Pastor Josh Laryea to her and she also communicated the message to Eugene Zutah for them to investigate the matter. The musician who recently released ‘Slowly’ single continued that the husband and wife later ganged up against her, Mzbel insinuating that she wants to disintegrate the church and also collapse their marriage but that was far from the truth.

“Awo Zutah told me something about how she feels about Pastor Josh Laryea and what she said was not pleasing to the ear. She is a married woman. I didn’t like it so I reported it to her husband. The next minute they ganged up against me and kicked me out of the church.” Mzbel revealed.

She continued that Awo Zutah is the cause of Josh Laryea’s trouble he is facing at the moment.

“So eventually I was kicked out of the church because the thought I wanted to collapse the church” Mzbel added.

Mr. and Mrs. Zutah are yet to react to the allegation levelled against them by the female musician.

Mzbel hosts the second edition of her annual “The Mzbel Mobile Clinic” on May Day at Bukom Square in Accra. The singer says she hopes to give free healthcare to over 2000 Ghanaians on the day.
