Tracey Boakye & Jessica Williams at ‘The Devil Between My Legs’ movie press conference

Ghanaian actresses Tracey Boakye and Jessica Williams were not very cool prior to the 2016 general election, which happened on December 7.

Jessica experienced the wrath of the Kumawood actress after she accused the CEO of Shakira Movies of taking car from NDC. The up and coming actress told host of Peace FM entertainment review, Kwasi Aboagye prior to the “Vera” actress’ reaction that she, Tracey Boakye endorsed the ruling government ahead of the 2016 polls due to the goodies that come with the endorsement deal.

The allegation made Tracey Boakye lose her temper when host of the entertainment show contacted her to react to the claim. The two were perceived to be at loggerheads because of the heated argument, which happened between them on the show.

Zionfelix.net can confirm that Tracey Boakye and Jessica Williams have solved their differences. The two actresses were spotted together laughing and communicating at the press conference of the movie, ‘The Devil Between My Legs’ held on Friday, March 3 in Kumasi.

Miss Williams speaking to Zionfelix.net after the press soiree denied ever having a problem with the ‘TV Atekopo’ actress prior to the 2016 election. According to the ‘Living With Trisha’ actress, she made her point known to the public but it was unfortunate that Peace FM called the actress cum producer to react to the allegation she made against her.

She told this website that she is part of Tracey’s ‘The Devil Between My Legs’ which production is currently ongoing.

All Ghanaian Musicians Know Is Snitching And Destroying – Jupita

5
Jupita & Patoranking

Never be under the impression that Jupita has a brother in the Ghanaian music industry whenever you see him hanging out with a colleague musician.

The dancehall musician has told Hitz FM’s MzGee point blank that Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter Patoranking is his only brother he has in the music business. He added that no Ghanaian musician is his boon companion because of past experience.

The ‘Enemies’ hitmaker stated that he has had enough of Ghanaian musicians snitching and destroying each other.

“So far in my music lifestyle, he (Patoranking) is the only brother that I have, not even a Ghanaian musician.

I’ve no Ghanaian artiste as a brother and I’m telling you this before God and man because I’ve experienced enough of this snitching and destroying, honestly speaking that’s all we know.

When I was coming up, some of our musicians right in front of me were speaking Ewe to destroy me to someone I was introducing him to thinking I didn’t understand the language.” Jupita told MzGee.

Talking about why Patoranking has overtaken him in the world of music even though he, Jupita had his first hit song, the Ghanaian musician named branding and lack of support as the cause.

“Many things went wrong but the first is branding and the industry. Branding because most of the people here in Ghana we work with find it very difficult to invest in talent. Even if they want to invest in a talent, they want a short period.

I hit before Patoranking and that was somewhere 2010. He used to come to the studio for us to take pictures. Nigerians have a different mentality from us so it makes it difficult for any businessperson here in Ghana to invest because we have a bad mentality and that is really not helping us.

Our industry is also not strong enough to handle talents like us so we sometimes have to try and present ourselves someway just to make favours for us to be accepted.”

This Is How Much Kofi Kinaata Charged eShun for a Collaboration That Got Her Manager Furious

1
Singer eShun

In this industry, your name has worth. The bigger it gets, the more you can charge others to use your brand, especially for feature verses.

There’s power in collaborating, aligning with the right superstar can ascend any new artist and/or expand the relevance of a veteran. Which is why the price can be set so high, you’re paying for more than the verse, you’re paying for the attention it will bring.

But sad to speak, some artists seem to take advantage of this custom and refuse to “help” new artists with the quotation of totally outrageous fees.

This was the case of eShun; Unsung Artist nominee at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

During her “Thank You Radio Tour” on Empire102.7FM, Takoradi, eShun spoke about her steady rise to fame, her music genre, her thoughts about the 2017 VGMAs and obviously her struggles in the music industry.

Accompanied by his manager Stephen Mensah, he expressed his total disgust at several top artists ignoring proposals to feature on their songs with the worst experience being with Kofi Kinaata’s management.

He recounted the woeful incident when he contacted Kinaata’s manager to feature on one of eShun’s Afro-Pop songs to which he was hit with a staggering GHC5000 charge (a fee artists “consider” for a full concert performance). For him, he appreciates that artists deserve fees for features but not to take advantage of “new artists”.

He further lamented that in an industry where CD sales and other income avenues are non-existent, most artists solely rely on (hit songs to get) gigs to keep up with their careers, so he found such an act by the High Grade manager purely egotistical and an attempt to indirectly show his disinterest to help a “new artist”.

Kofi Kinaata in recent times has been accused for failing to feature in numerous top HipHop collaborations with various rappers due to similar reasons and has missed out on many other concerts as well.
