I Don’t Wish To Go To Heaven – Okyeame Kwame

Okyeame Kwame and kids

Whilst most Christians are trying very hard to live a righteous life in order to make their way to heaven when they depart this life, rapper Okyeame Kwame does not wish to be there but anywhere beyond paradise.

The musician in a conversation with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM opined that life in Heaven could be boring so it is his desire to be on earth after his death. BRA Kwame on the station’s Music Box show added that there is nothing like car, marriage, girlfriend in the abode of God and the angels but only praises and worship hence his crave to be at a place greater than heaven. He made it clear that hell is out of the picture even though his wish is not to be in heaven after his demise.

Below is what happened between Andy Dosty and Okyeame Kwame on Hitz FM’s music box entertainment show when the musician was called on ‘Know Your Celebs’ segment via phone.

Okyeame Kwame: I’ve been thinking of this whole we are Christians and we want to go to heaven and I’m thinking that in heaven we are all going to become Spirits and we don’t have to get a car, we don’t have to marry. We are just singing praises and worshiping. If there is something apart from heaven then that is what I want but not hell. Like people are going to stay on earth and still be able to eat fufuo and have a girlfriend.

Andy Dosty: I don’t really understand what you are saying.

Okyeame Kwame: What I’m saying is that I don’t wish to go to heaven.

Andy Dosty: You don’t want to go to heaven?

Okyeame Kwame: …at all. When I die and resurrect, I want to stay here on earth and continue to enjoy because life is nice here.

Andy Dosty: If you get the chance of entering heaven you wont go?

Okyeame Kwame: Because I think it could be boring but this place is exciting.

Mr. Nsiah Appauh recently released “Best Rapper Alive” and is expected to put out a new single, which features his two kids, Sante and Sir Bota soon.

I’ll Charge Event Organisers Before Attending Award Shows – Liwin

Liwin

Kwadwo Nkansah Liwn is not ready to attend any awards ceremony again unless he is paid for that purpose.

The actor in a conversation with Hitz FM’s MzGee spoke strongly against awards plaques, which come with no cash. Liwin added that he will no more waste money and time to fly from Kumasi for awards which come with no money. To him, his main objective is to improve on his craft to make his fans happy but not to work with the aim of winning awards.

He revealed that he has over 25 awards scattered in his house but not even a penny was given to him when he won those awards. He advised awards organisers to attach something beneficial to the plaques they give winners because they the organisers are benefitting from the sweat of creative arts personalities.

“Award doesn’t bring anything. The works are important but not the award you are going for. What is te essence of winning an award not getting movie roles? Kill yourself for the work and the award will follow.

What do they add to awards when you win them? I’ve over 255 awards at home but they didn’t attach even Gh2. I fly to pick awards so what if I die on my way? Attach a TV set or something good to the plaques because you are benefiting from our works. If I’m my house crying, the award organiser will not bring me cash to chop”

When MzGee asked if he will not attend awards again after gaining nominations, Liwin replied, “I’ll charge you before I attend.”

Ghanaian gospel music group Willie & Mike has honoured their yearly visit promise to visit Kumasi Children’s Home.

The group on Tuesday, March 7 together with other colleague gospel musicians went back to the home after their last visit in 2016. This visit makes it the fifth time after Willie and Mike planned to help the home.  They donated items worth Gh2000 and a scholarship worth Gh5000 to help the needy but brilliant student.

Willi and Mike during this year’s donation did something different from the previous four visits. Aside the goods and scholarship they gave the orphans, the two organised a live band gospel concert. The gospel event had performances from female gospel musicians Mary Agyemang and Mabel Okeyere who were at the children’s home to support the worship group.

Caretakers of Kumasi Children’s Home thanked Willie and Mike for their consistent kind gesture they have shown them for the past five years.

6th March Concert Party: Liwin Breaks Silence

5
Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin

Kumawood superstar Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin has reacted to claim that his colleague actor Agya Koo deliberately did not invite him to be part of the list of actors who performed on 6th March.

According to reports, Agya Koo was afraid Liwin would take his shine during the 6th March parade hence his decision not to cast him for the concert party play. But Liwin speaking to Hitz FM’s MzGee has denied the allegation saying the love that exists between Ghanaian actors will not give room for his senior colleague to opt out of a project he is also a cast.

“Whoever said that lied. We love ourselves in this business because a lot of people paved way for us. If the old folks had not worked had, where would we have been now? I never came to kill the career of the Agya Koo or Kwaku Manu.” he told MzGee.

The Kumawood poster boy commenting on the concert party Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Maame Serwaa and other Kumawood actors performed on 6th March asked Ghanaians to blame the director of the play but not the actors if things did not go well. According to him, the actors painted a picture of what the director wanted the world to know so if the play did not go as they expected, they should not fault his colleagues but hold the director responsible.

It Will Be Bloody If Anyone Tries To Beef Me – Strongman

1
Strongman & Sarkodie

Rapper Strongman is in his cool corner trying to write hit songs and not ready to beef any Ghanaian musician.

This is not to tell that he is afraid of music feud but the Next Big Thing in Gh winner believes that he will ‘murder’ any musician who decides to challenge him. The musician who was on Hitz FM’s morning show hosted by KMJ to promote his “Oh Joo” music video told listeners of the show that he has no particular artiste in mind to beef but anyone who tempts him will regret.

Strongman promised to reply any artiste who first throws shot at him because he is not afraid of a rap battle.

“I will never start a beef but if someone tries, it is going to be bloody. If you are rapping and I realise that you punched me in your lines, then I’ll also give it to you.

I’m not afraid of beef so if someone starts it, I’ll make sure I help that person to finish it.

Before I even beef, the person needs to be on my level or above me but if an underground artiste starts it I won’t join it.”

Strongman who chose music over football during his high school days at T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi added that he has never lost a rap battle since he started music. According to him, he battled about 16 rappers in Kumasi and never lost any of the competition. The alumnus of UCC added that he also won The Next Big Thing In Gh Hip-hop competition organised by Gh One TV in Accra after beating 506 rappers.
