The Shatta Wale-Yaa Pono beef gets interesting by the day.

After the public said Yaa Pono ‘murdered’ Shatta Wale in the few days feud, Nima ghetto youth led by Prodigal of VVIP fame asked individuals who have planned of taking the corpse of the dancehall musician to Nima to rescind their decision. The rapper made it clear in a minute video posted on Instagram that youth in the vicinity do not need the ‘dead body’ so it should be taken to Korle Gonno.

If indeed Yaa Pono ‘killed’ Shatta Wale as the public has judged, then the dead body will be in trouble because Korle Gonno ghetto youth have also rejected the remains of the musician who calls himself “Korle Gonno God Father”.

In about a minute video, the youth of Korle Gonno are heard loud and clear saying they do not need the ‘dead body’ of the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker.

However, Shatta Wale speaking to Bola Ray on Starr FM told the public that he is still in the comfortable lead so comments that Yaa Pono has won the battle should be disregarded.

Shatta Wale and Yaa Pono have been throwing jabs at each other for the past days, which have become the talk of the town.

After the two musicians released diss songs, the public declared Yaa Pono winner but Shatta Wale thinks otherwise.

The dancehall artiste believes his ‘Say Fi’ diss song has ‘murdered’ his competitor so he is currently in a comfortable lead despite the public’s judgment.

The musician made this statement on Starr FM Wednesday, March 1 when he was called live on air to surprise EIB Network’s boss, Bola Ray on his 40th birthday.

VIDEO: Ohemaa Mercy Breaks Ground For James Camp Prison Borehole Project

Multiple award-winning gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy and her ministry have commenced her borehole project for Ghana prisons.

The ‘Aseda’ singer on Tuesday, February 28 this year cut sod for a borehole project to begin at James Camp Prison in Accra. The female songstress at the sod-turning ceremony thanked officers at the prison for accepting her offer to donate such a project.

Mrs. Twum-Ampofo popularly known as Ohemaa Mercy whose recent visit to James Camp Prison was her third time after releasing her first album promised to be back with more projects to help improve the condition of inmates.

“I’m grateful for even allowing us to do this. It is something Ohemaa Mercy Ministry has been doing for sometime now and this is my third time coming here. I came here years back to donate some items, shared the word of God and the second was when I came to have a program with them. I believe this is not going to be the end. I’m praying God helps us with funds for us to do more not for ourselves but for Him. We want them to also have the best so we will be back very soon.” she said.

Commander of James Camp Prison, Francis Selorm Hagbe thanked Ohemaa Mercy and her team for coming to their aid. He noted that the borehole will help the prison in numerous ways which will positively affect the lives of the inmates.

“About a month ago you came to access the place and this morning, they informed me that you are here to start the project. We are really grateful for this offer. Beyond using it for utilities, it will also help our agriculture because we train the inmates here. We are so grateful for what you are doing for us. The project you have given us is invaluable and the only thing I can say is that the Almighty God should bless you. Anytime we fetch water from the borehole, God should bless you.” the commander said.

Mr. Isaac Twum-Ampofo, head of Ohemaa Mercy’s management team added, “one thing Ohemaa Mercy Ministry does is fulfilling the task our master Jesus has given us. We want to do what God has asked us to do so we want to support the prison anyway we can.”

Ohemaa Mercy and her team after the groundbreaking ceremony toured the prison to visit and encourage the inmates.

Samini has expressed his displeasure at the VGMA Board for not treating ‘his boy’ Kofi Kinaata fairly.

He thinks Kofi Kinaata, who had a very good year, deserved more categories in this year’s awards.

Speaking on Hitz 103.9fm on Wednesday, March 1, Samini says, “I’m very disappointed that Kofi Kinaata couldn’t get in the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category. We’ve complained about that and even his songs swapped for different categories but nobody is communicating back. The list is already out and it looks like they won’t do anything about it and it’s bad. I’m very much surprised Medikal got in the Overall Artiste of the Year slot but Kinaata who did a lot last year couldn’t get in that category. I put out my song ‘Mama Ghana’ out there too hoping it would get into ‘Songwriter of the Year’ and ‘Record of the Year’ categories, looking at what we did with that song across Ghana but it couldn’t make it too – but I’m not much bothered about that than Kofi Kinaata’s issue. He deserved better.”

Kofi Kinaata released songs last year and did a lot of collaborations. His two songs “Sweetie Pie” and “Confession” are major hits across the country and even outside Ghana. He seems to be the favourite for many in the awards (#VGMA2017). He is a HighGradeFamily artiste, under Samini’s tutelage. He won “Best New Artiste” and “Songwriter of the Year” in the 2016 VGMAs.

Samini was speaking with KMJ on Hitz 103.9fm via phone interview on #DayBreakHitz.

Bola Ray & wife renewing vow after 12 years of marriage

CEO of both the EIB Network and Empire Group of Companies, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray and wife Dorcas after 12 years of marriage have renewed their marriage vows.

The two had the renewal of marriage vow at a strictly by invitation ceremony on Wednesday, March 1 which also happens to be Mr. Kwabena Adisi’s 40th birthday.

The event was officiated by founder of International Central Gospel Church Pastor Mensa Otabil.

Bola Ray and Dorcas have three children – two boys and a girl.

Right after Sarkodie released “Trumpet” hiphop song which features rappers like Strongman, Teephlow, Medikal, Donzy, Pappy Kojo and Koo Ntakra, beat police announced that beat for the song was stolen.

Investigations suggested that Def Clef, producer for the “Trumpet” song picked the beat from international music producer Superstar O and made it his own without giving credit to the original beatmaker. This act was strongly spoken against but it does not just end there.

Teephlow, one of the rappers on the song is afraid to use any of the several instrumentals Def Clef has sent him because it might be a stolen product. Speaking to MzGee on Showbiz This Week entertainment show, the alumnus of KNUST disclosed that he was disappointed when Zionfelix.net reported months back that instrumental for the “Trumpet” song is originally owned by Superstar O but not Def Clef as he made them believe.

“Personally I felt disappointed. Def Clef has sent a couple of beats and up till now I haven’t been able to use them because I don’t know whether they are legitimately his or they are for someone else so it has affected me in a way.

After knowing this, I just can’t use anything he sends me because someone can sue me.” Teephlow told MzGee on HItz FM.

After both acts released diss songs to attack each other, Ghanaians judged who won the battle. According to social media commentators who followed the ‘beef’, Yaa Pono ‘murdered’ the dancehall musician with his last diss track, Noko.

Several comments have followed the judgement but one that has gone viral is a funny video by an unknown guy who is seen in the video inviting Stonebwoy, Samini, Ara-B and other musicians to the funeral of Shatta Wale.

Comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger has stepped on the toes of many Ghanaian personalities but she looks remorseful.

The outspoken TV and radio host has on many occasions exchanged words with renowned personalities and friends which did not end well. It looks like Afia is a changed person because she is asking for forgiveness from all those she has offended.

In an Instagram post, she asked Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Bishop Daniel Obinim, singer Nana Akua Amoah Belinda aka Mzbel, Delay and other individuals she has offended to stop feeling angry or resentful towards her for an offence, flaw, or mistake she has committed against them.
She is not just begging for clemency from those she has offended, the controversial lady says she has also forgiven all persons who have done something bad against her.

According to her, she “bares none any grudge” again. Afia Schwarzenegger on Instagram wrote “I AM AN ANGEL… Today by the help of the holy spirit I forgive everyone that has offended me and ask everyone that has tasted my revenge to forgive me too. Rapper Prodigal of VVIP music has commented on the ongoing feud between dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and Tema-based rapper Yaa Pono.

The rapper in a minute video posted on Instagram declared Shatta Wale loser of the beef. He said Pono has ‘murdered’ the dancehall king in the few days verbal attack. The member of VVIP music group continued that he has heard that certain people have planned on sending the ‘dead body’ of Shatta Wale to Nima for the final funeral rites but people of Nima do not need it.

The rapper who described himself as the spokesperson for Nima ghetto youth asked them to send the “Dancehall Commando” hitmaker’s corpse to Korle Gonno, a town in Accra.

“We’ve heard that Yaa Pono has mmurded Shatta Wasle and they want to bring his dead body to Nima.

I’m the spoeksperson for Nima ghetto youth and we say we don’t want Shatta Wale’s dead body here. Let them send it to Korle Gonno” he teased.
