Woman who accused Kwaku Gyasi of sharing a child with her arrested as DNA test results get released

0

A developing controversy involving Ghanaian gospel musician Kwesi Gyasi has sparked widespread reactions after an unidentified woman reportedly took him to a popular radio segment dubbed a “relationship court.”

The issue came to public attention during the “Sompa Nkomo” show hosted by media personality Oheneni Adazoa on Sompa FM.

According to reports, the woman accused the musician of matters that were discussed on the show, drawing significant public attention.

Following the incident, some social media users suggested the controversy may have been staged to generate publicity for the singer.

However, Oheneni Adazoa dismissed these claims, stating in a video that her platform does not engage in “settings” or fabricated stories for attention.

In a new twist, a video circulating online shows the woman being escorted by a police officer alongside the radio host, suggesting that the matter has escalated beyond the media space into a legal one.

Reports indicate that the development may be linked to allegations made against the musician, which were reportedly contradicted by the results of a DNA test.

Shatta Wale Challenges Stonebwoy To Prove ‘Mother Death’ Claim

0

A fresh clash has reignited the long-running feud between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, centring on a sensitive claim linked to the death of Stonebwoy’s mother.

The controversy gained traction after Stonebwoy, in an interview on Angel FM, alleged that Shatta Wale had at some point implied he was responsible for the passing of his mother, Catherine Satekla. He described the claim as something that has never been resolved, noting that it continues to block any real attempt at reconciliation.

Shatta Wale has since addressed the matter directly. Speaking during a TikTok live session on April 8, 2026, he rejected the accusation and maintained that he never made such a remark.

“If I ever said such a thing about Stonebwoy, then someone should prove it, because I do everything on the internet, especially when it comes to entertainment. That screenshot you are referring to, I was addressing Joy FM; it was an old video.

“I wasn’t referring to Stonebwoy. That is why I always say we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be misled by the media,” he said.

He also urged caution over how the narrative is being circulated, insisting that it paints him in a false light and keeps tensions alive unnecessarily.

Shatta Wale indicated that the persistence of the allegation is difficult to understand, as he questioned why it continues to be brought up.

“He keeps saying this all the time, and I keep asking myself why, because even if I lack sense, I would never make such a statement about someone’s death.

“It’s about time he stopped that, because sometimes when I come across such claims, I wonder what he is trying to achieve. Why does he want people to see me as a bad person?” the ‘Gringo’ composer asked.

Black Sherif has shared his experience in the music industry, saying his time in it has changed everything he once believed about it.

Before gaining full access to the space, the Ghanaian artiste admits he carried a very idealised perception of how it all worked, even describing it as “a fantasy world.”

“What I knew about what I thought the music industry was before I entered is so different from what I see now. Before I entered, I thought it was a fantasy world,” the Ghanaian artiste told Kafui Dey in a recent interview.

Having spent more time within the system, Black Sherif says his perspective has changed, with internal politics and division standing out as key features of how the industry operates behind the scenes.

Blacko added that he has made a clear decision to stay away from those tensions and the conversations that fuel them.

“A chunk of it is politics and division. Before my soul could even find the words to describe the effect of division, I was repelling it. I never want to be part of any of the division conversations,” he stated.

He Has Shown Me Love, Not Just By Words, But Through Actions – Camidoh Praises Stonebwoy

Camidoh has disclosed the depth of his relationship with Stonebwoy, highlighting the BHIM Nation boss as one of the key figures who has consistently supported his music career through opportunities and guidance.

In an interview on Hitz FM, shared on X on April 7, 2026, the “Sugarcane” hitmaker said Stonebwoy has quietly played a key role behind the scenes by stepping in with show bookings that often come at decisive moments.

He noted that the BHIM Nation boss regularly puts him forward when he is unable to perform, passing on gigs without taking any portion of the proceeds.

“There have been times when he would call, or have his manager call, to say there’s a gig happening, and he won’t be able to perform. He’ll tell them to give it to me instead, and he doesn’t expect anything in return,” he said.

Apart from the professional support, Camidoh said what stands out most is the depth of their connection.

“I would call on Stonebwoy, knowing that even in my absence, he has shown me love, not just by words, but through actions.

“I mean, even if ten people tell me Stonebwoy doesn’t like me, I wouldn’t believe it because this person has fed me before. I will always respect that.

“I take advice from him. I call him a brother, like a big brother, rather than just a friend, because our relationship is reserved. I reach out when I truly need guidance,” Camidoh stated.

In the photo, Hajia4Reall dazzled in a structured, form-fitting corset gown in a rich teal/emerald shade, accentuating her curves and highlighting her hourglass figure.

The outfit featured a dramatic off-shoulder neckline adorned with oversized purple petal-like ruffles, giving the ensemble a bold, floral-inspired aesthetic that captured the attention of fans.

While the post attracted numerous compliments, one comment stood out—coming from Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye.

He described the image as “magnificent,” praising Hajia4Reall’s beauty. The socialite responded warmly with love emojis, a gesture that quickly drew the attention of followers.

The exchange marked what many observers noted as the first public interaction of its kind between the two figures, sparking speculation online.

Some social media users wondered whether the interaction could signal the beginning of a more public rapport between them, while others simply admired the exchange as a show of appreciation.

The interaction has since fueled conversations across platforms, with fans dissecting the comment and response, and sharing mixed reactions ranging from excitement to curiosity.

While the post was primarily a fashion statement, the unexpected comment from Richard Nii Armah Quaye added an extra layer of intrigue—turning a simple Instagram upload into a trending topic.

Give me a fair share of all Richard Quaye’s properties and companies – Joana Quaye files appeal

0

Mrs Joana Quaye has filed an appeal against a High Court ruling that dissolved her marriage to Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye and determined the distribution of their marital assets.

The Notice of Appeal, filed on April 1, 2026, was submitted on her behalf by former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame.

The appeal seeks to overturn aspects of the judgment delivered by Justice Justin Kofi Dorgu, who presided over the case as an Additional High Court Judge at the Family Court.

According to the filing, Mrs Quaye is challenging the legal basis of the High Court’s decision, particularly regarding the classification and distribution of marital property.

Her legal team argues that the trial judge committed a “fundamental error of law” by failing to recognise that all movable and immovable assets—including company shares—were acquired during the marriage and should therefore be treated as joint marital property.

They contend that such assets ought to be distributed equitably between both parties.

In the initial ruling, the High Court awarded Mrs Quaye one-third ownership of a matrimonial home located in Dansoman, with the remaining two-thirds granted to Mr Quaye.

Additionally, she was awarded a lump sum of GH¢300,000—far below the GH¢50 million she had originally requested.

The court also granted her custody of their three children, while Mr Quaye was given visitation rights, including access during school vacations.

The appeal now shifts the case to the Court of Appeal, where Mrs Quaye is seeking a reassessment of both the financial settlement and the division of assets.

Marriage Is Not An Investment – Judge Tells Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s Ex-Wife

0

An Accra High Court has delivered its ruling in a high-profile divorce case involving Mrs Joana Quaye and her former husband, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, significantly reducing her financial claims.

Mrs Quaye had filed for divorce and sought a financial settlement of GH¢50 million (approximately $4.5 million), among other reliefs.

However, the presiding judge, Justice Justin Kofi Dorgu, sitting as an Additional High Court Judge, dismissed the claim for the amount, describing it as lacking evidentiary support.

In his ruling, the judge noted that the concept of large financial awards in divorce cases must be carefully considered in modern times, where many women are financially independent.

Justice Dorgu emphasised that marriage should not be treated as a financial venture.

“Marriage is not an investment, and no ordinary investment would yield such a return over 10 or 20 years,” he stated, explaining why the GH¢50 million claim was deemed excessive and unsupported.

The court also highlighted that Mrs Quaye had already benefited from a property settlement, including a one-third share of the matrimonial home.

Additionally, the court ordered that Mr Quaye continue to cater for the children’s education and healthcare needs, while also addressing the petitioner’s mobility requirements.

In further justification of the reduced award, the judge noted that Mrs Quaye is gainfully employed and has experience in the same business sector as her former husband.

He suggested that her exposure to the Quick Credit business could position her for future financial success.

The court also observed that she remains capable of rebuilding her life independently, including the possibility of remarriage if she so chooses.

In the end, the court awarded Mrs Quaye GH¢300,000 as financial relief—far below the initial claim.

Justice Dorgu stated that the decision was also intended to discourage divorce petitions motivated by expectations of large financial gains.

My Life Has Changed Since I Stopped Twerking – Akuapem Poloo Discloses

Akuapem Poloo is redefining her public image, pointing to a deliberate shift in her lifestyle as the reason her reputation and opportunities have taken a different turn.

Speaking during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the actress and socialite revisited her decision to move away from twerking on social media, describing it as a moment that reshaped how she is seen and the kind of doors now opening for her.

According to her, the change is evident in the way people relate to her today, with a level of respect she says was largely absent in her earlier years in the spotlight.

“I get a lot more respect from people now than when I used to twerk. Even influential people want to get close to me at events,” she said.

She indicated that her experience at events has also shifted, as invitations have increased while she has become more selective about where she shows up.

Poloo also hinted at a more reserved approach to her business affairs. Though deals continue to come her way, she prefers to keep many of them away from public attention.

“I also get a lot of corporate deals, but I’ve decided not to publicize them,” she shared.

She explained that while ambassadorial roles once dominated her portfolio, her interests now lean toward corporate engagements, which she says suit her better.

“I used to sign ambassadorial deals and many others, but now I only get corporate deals, and I like it,” Akuapem Poloo further stated.

King Paluta Calls Out Boomplay Over Earnings After Q1 Streaming Chart Post

0

Ghanaian artiste King Paluta has expressed his unhappiness on X after reacting to a post by Boomplay Music Ghana highlighting its most-streamed artistes for the first quarter of 2026.

The streaming platform had shared a celebratory update showcasing its Top 10 most-streamed artistes in Ghana from January to March, praising the performers for their strong numbers and encouraging fans to continue streaming their favourite songs.

But the post quickly took a different turn when King Paluta made a blunt and emotional response that shifted attention away from the chart itself and toward how artistes are treated by streaming platforms.

In his reaction, the rapper wrote: “Yes, but no money!”

He did not stop there. Expressing frustration over what he perceives as unfair treatment, he added: “You people are taking us for granted and it’s sooo wrong ! @BoomplayMusic !!!”

While Boomplay’s post was meant to spotlight streaming success and celebrate Q1 performance, King Paluta’s response redirected attention to long-running concerns within the Ghanaian music industry about how much artistes actually earn from high streaming numbers compared to the visibility those numbers generate.

As of now, Boomplay has not publicly responded to the rapper’s remarks.
