“I’ll never submit to a broke guy” – Efia Odo

0

Ghanaian socialite, actress, and media personality Efia Odo, born Andrea Owusu, stirred up conversation with her frank views on submission in relationships.

The outspoken media personality is challenging traditional notions, asserting that submission from women should not be automatic but rather earned by men who meet certain standards.

In a recent episode of her popular podcast Rants and Bants, Odo laid out her criteria for a man worthy of submission, emphasizing the importance of responsibility and personal growth.

“Before I can submit to a man, he has to have a certain level of responsibility. You need to be a provider, a man who respects himself, someone I can grow with, and learn from,” she said.

The former Eats Avenue co-owner argued that true leadership from a man naturally inspires submission from a woman.

“Why wouldn’t a woman submit if the man is doing what he’s supposed to do?” she questioned, suggesting that submission becomes a natural response to competent male leadership.

Efia Odo addressed what she sees as unreasonable expectations in relationships, challenging the logic of men who expect submission without demonstrating their own worth.

“If a guy isn’t doing anything, why would you expect a woman to submit? It doesn’t make sense,” she wondered.

Shatta Wale slams Stonebwoy for insisting his age is a lie

Shatta Wale has clarified that he’s not pleased with the birthday message sent by colleague dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

In what seemed like a goodwill gesture on X (formerly Twitter), Stonebwoy wished Shatta Wale a happy 40th birthday, writing, “No matter the differences. I wish you a long life, brother! Big 40… (Blackstar age).”

However, Shatta Wale’s response suggested that he didn’t appreciate the mention of “differences.”

He quickly fired back, stating, “Which differences? Stop fooling and grow up… The fans don’t need this enmity… be safe .”

His reaction sparked a wave of reactions on social media, check out some of them below…

Stonebwoy trolls Shatta Wale for supposedly lying about his age

Yesterday marked the birthday of Ghana’s controversial dancehall sensation, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known in the entertainment world as Shatta Wale.

The internet was flooded with celebratory posts from fans and celebrities alike, as many took to social media to honor the dancehall icon on his special day.

The images of Shatta Wale were seen on various social media platforms, as people from all walks of life, both fans and non-followers, shared their birthday wishes for the musician.

Fellow artists, actors, and other notable personalities also joined the celebration, with many posting photos of Shatta Wale along with their heartfelt messages.

One of the most notable birthday greetings came from Shatta Wale’s longtime rival, Stonebwoy.

Despite their well-known differences, Stonebwoy surprised fans by extending an olive branch and showing his respect for the dancehall star.

In his birthday message, Stonebwoy referred to Shatta Wale as his “biological brother” and wished him a long life and continued prosperity, a gesture that drew attention across social media.

However, in typical Stonebwoy fashion, the birthday wish also carried a playful jab. Stonebwoy humorously questioned Shatta Wale’s claim of being 40 years old, cheekily suggesting that the dancehall artist’s age was more of a “football age” rather than his true age.

This light-hearted comment, though teasing, added a fun twist to the ongoing dynamic between the two musicians, further fueling conversations online.

As Shatta Wale celebrates another year, the outpouring of love from both supporters and industry rivals reflects his undeniable impact on Ghana’s music scene, cementing his place as a force in the industry.

Fans will no doubt continue to enjoy the unique relationship between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, whose rivalry often swings between feuds and friendly banter.

“I won’t vote this year because of fake pastors” – Bishop Obinim declares

0

Bishop Daniel Obinim, has expressed his frustration with what he has described as the rise of fake and misguided men and women of God in contemporary Ghanaian society.

In a recent sermon, the controversial preacher revealed that he has no intention of voting in the highly anticipated 2024 general elections.

Obinim explained that his decision stems from the actions of certain pastors whom he referred to as “fake and confused.”

He accused these pastors of misleading Ghanaians by constantly claiming that God has revealed the election winners to them.

Obinim questioned how the same God could give conflicting messages to different pastors, each declaring a different candidate as the election victor.

He urged Ghanaians to critically assess the achievements of the two major political parties, the NPP and NDC, which have governed the country for over 16 years, and make informed decisions when voting.

“Both political parties have been in power for 16 years. I think it would be prudent for us to assess which party has performed better and vote accordingly”.

“Because of these prophecies, I will not vote”, Obinim stated.

He added that “some of these pastors have problems. Once they declare the victory of these political parties, they should also tell us not to vote. They are confused, and I must say it”.

Bisa Kdei further urged Ghanaians to vote “wisely” in the upcoming politicians, saying politicians do not fulfill their promises.

“Some of the things that I hear from the politicians, it’s just sad. People make promises but at the end of the day the delivery becomes a problem. Ghanaians should choose wisely,” he said.
