Stonebwoy’s ‘Jejereje’ is similar to Shatta Wale’s ‘Mahama Paper’ – Sammy Flex states

Samuel Atuobi Baah, popularly known as Sammy Flex, has weighed in on the commentary about Stonebwoy’s new song, Jejereje.

This follows after Ghanaian rapper Kwame Yogot, stated that Stonebwoy’s release shares many similarities with Shatta Wale’s Mahama Paper.

The rapper’s remarks stoked a debate on social media, as fans shared their thoughts after listening to both songs.

In a recent interview, Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, validated Kwame Yogot’s claims about Stonebwoy’s new song.

Sammy Flex is renowned for his media career, having worked as a radio and TV presenter for the now-defunct Zylofon TV station.

According to Sammy Flex, the similarities between Jejereje and Shatta Wale’s Mahama Paper are obvious, especially for technical music experts.

‘Kumawood is not dead’ – Mercy Asiedu insists

Ghanaian actress Mercy Asiedu has addressed claims that the Kumawood film industry has declined.

In an interview with Hitz FM on 8 October 2024, she asserted that the industry is far from dead, emphasising that Kumawood’s current challenges stem from a lack of technological advancement.

According to her, there is still an abundance of talent, but the technology needed to distribute the films effectively isn’t available.

“Kumawood is not dead. Actors and actresses are still available; producers are still available; it’s just that technology has changed,” Asiedu stated.

She highlighted the shift from physical CD sales to digital platforms, noting that producers used to recoup their investments quickly through CD sales, a model that is no longer viable.

“At first, producers could release films every Monday and get their money back within the week. But now, nobody is buying CDs anymore,” she added.

Mercy Asiedu attributed the situation to industry players who were slow to adapt to technological advancements, stating that this delay is a major reason for the industry’s struggles.

“Those responsible for the film industry in the country weren’t quick enough to adapt to changing technology, which is why we are where we are,” she explained.

However, she maintained that the Kumawood industry is not dead; we just need to update our technology.

Dr Louisa Satekla, the wife of popular Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy, has put a smile on the face of a fan.

Sadly, the fan had the hand amputated following an accident.

Making an impact in the fans life and make the fellow happy, Stonebwoy’s wife decided to pay the medical bills at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

This was revealed by entertainment critic, Kwaku Osei Koranteng Asiedu, well-known as KOKA.

He wrote on Facebook: “I met 1GAD’s wife this morning @ Korle Bu Emergency centre going 2 Pay bills for a fan whose hand has been amputated after an accident. The life of an artist in Ghana.”

While his spiritual leader appeared to appreciate the act, the video sparked a heated social media debate.

Many netizens have expressed disapproval, arguing that LilWin’s flamboyant display of wealth is disrespectful to Christianity’s core values.

Critics believe that instead of making a spectacle, the actor could have discreetly offered the money as tithe or offertory.

Gospel musician Diana Asamoah has taken a swipe at the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah for saying NPP is going to lose the elections.

According to Diana Asamoah, the prophecy by Owusu Bempah is not going to see the light of day because the NPP has done good work in terms of Free SHS and other social interventions.

She continued that Ghanaians are going to look at that and vote for Dr Bawumia to triumph over John Mahama come December 7.

On Rev Owusu Bempah’s prophecy, she stated that even in the Bible King Hezekiah was warned by Prophet Isaiah about his impending death but through prayer, everything changed so that would be the fate of the NPP.

She said: “2 Kings 2:1-7 tells us about how Isaiah prophesied to Hezekiah that he would die. Hezekiah cried out to the Lord to reverse it based on his service to God, and it was reversed; the Lord added 15 more years to his life.

“So the NPP government, including Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and NAPO, will not accept defeat based on our good works like the Free SHS. Any doom prophecy against us will not stand, we will win the 2024 general elections,” she declared in Twi.

Big Akwes has complained about President Akufo-Addo’s failure to honour his promises.

The actor said Nana Addo had deceived them because he couldn’t fulfil his promise to the movie industry.

Big Akwes aired his unhappiness about the NPP and Nana Addo’s government when speaking with Empress Gifty on “U Cook”.

“There is no political party more deceitful than the NPP. President Akufo-Addo lied to us. On August 3, 2016, we met with him, and he promised to support the movie industry.

“What he promised made me believe in him. I even contributed to his campaign in 2016, but since he came to power, he has done nothing,” he stated.

Akwes further stressed his support for former President John Mahama.

“I am a full NDC member, and if you’re looking for an actor in the movie industry who has declared support for the NDC, I think I will be the first,” I have implemented the Good Government Card to solicit funds for Mahama’s campaign,” he said.

Talking about independent candidate Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar), Big Akwes averred: “Cheddar doesn’t know what he’s saying. How can he claim he will bring the sea to Kumasi? Is that even possible?”

Akua Donkor Names Radio Presenter Roman Fada As Her Running Mate

Akua Donkor, the founder and presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has announced her running mate.

Naming her running mate for the 2024 elections in Ghana, she settled on Ghanaian radio presenter, Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, well-known as Roman Fada.

Roman Fada works with Accra-based Atinka FM as the Drive Time Show host. He is also known as the manager of veteran Ghanaian musician—Daddy Lumba.

Earlier, Akua Donkor planned to name another media personality Adakabre Frimpong—but the plan changed due to Adakabre’s unavailability for the position.

God Used Empress Gifty To Save Me When I Had Only GHS 30 Remaining After My Surgery – Gospel Musician Georgia Adjei Reveals

Veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician, Georgia Adjei, has opened up about how Empress Gifty Adorye saved her after surgery.

In a video sighted by Zionfelix.net, the ‘Ebenezer’ singer disclosed that God used Empress Gifty to save her when she was in a difficult situation.

She recalled having only GHS 30 remaining on her after the surgery and she was advised by doctors to eat timely—without starving.

Looking at the situation, Madam Adjei decided to visit ace news broadcaster Kojo Dickson at Angel FM and take money from him since he’s like a brother to her.

While she was almost at the station, she saw Gifty descending the staircase. According to her, Mrs Adorye gave her a hug when she was complaining about them not inviting her to programs.

Gifty thought she had travelled but the veteran Gospel musician was battling for her life at the hospital for about six months.

After a short conversation, Georgia Adjei said Gifty got closer to her car, took a sum of money and gave it to her, adding that she should use it for transportation.

Though she was shy at that moment, the money saved her when she did not meet Kwadwo Dickson at his office and his phone was off too.

Georgia Adjei then used some of Gifty’s money to buy foodstuff from the market—lasting for a week.

She appreciated Gifty and blessed her in this video below—as she also presented a portrait to her.
