According to him, the song depicts all sitting presidents and African leaders ruling with greed and corruption.

Host of Urban Blend on Accra-based 3FM and Reggae Musician, Blakk Rasta has stated that his ‘Thief President’ song performed at the recent Nkrumahfest concert is not targeted at a particular President.

According to him, the song is directed to all sitting presidents and African leaders who are ruling with greed and corruption.

“Not at all. If you look at the video, there are a lot of African leaders. There’s President Akufo-Addo, there’s President Yoweri Museveni, it was just Presidents. It’s not for me to tell you who is a thief and who is not a thief.

“In every country, I believe that they know who is not treating them well as their President so if the cap fits you, wear it,” he clarified on 3FM Drive, Wednesday, September 25.

Blakk Rasta was amongst the several artists who performed at the recent Nkrumahfest concert held on September 21 in Nkroful in the Western Region.

The concert was held to honor Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s legacy. The day also marked Nkrumah’s 115th birthday.

The Radio presenter further disclosed that he received threats after singing the song.

Blamming the current administration won’t solve the galamsey menace – Prince David Osei

According to him, people should stop politicizing the issue at hand and look at it as a National issue affecting everyone.

The award-winning actor went on to say that blaming the current government which is his party is not the solution to stop the menace.

He posted on his official X handle; “The issue of illegal mining, known locally as “Galamsey,” is a significant concern that is gaining global attention due to its destructive impact on our water bodies, lands, and the environment. There is a growing consensus that urgent action is needed to combat this menace. Blaming the current administration or specific groups for the problem is not the solution.

It is a collective responsibility for all citizens of Ghana to address the root causes, including poverty, greed, corruption, and selfishness. We must prioritize this issue beyond political interests and work together as a nation to eradicate illegal mining. Let us unite and take decisive action to protect our environment and natural resources. The time to act is now! #stopgalamseynow#stopillegalminning”

Opening about his journey, Peter Sedufia wrote: “Today, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from EICAR,  Paris. It’s been two years of multitasking: being a son, a husband, a father, a CEO, a producer, a writer, a director, and then a student. It’s been a roller coaster since 2022 when I enrolled. I remember quitting GIMPA after the first semester of my attempt at getting an MBA in project management after COVID 19 disrupted the filmmaking space, and cinemas were shut for so long. I said to myself that I needed a different educational background apart from Filmmaking, and so, I enrolled in GIMPA for a Master’s degree programme.

It didn’t take long for me to realise the passion wasn’t there. If I stayed, it’d be because of the certificate. But, it wasn’t another certificate I needed. I needed to upgrade and elevate myself in what I already loved to do – Filmmaking. I quickly applied to the New York Film Academy and École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation.  I got admission to both schools, but I chose France. Fast forward, here I am today with a new experience and exposure to Filmmaking.

Of course, I received a Master’s degree certificate, but I don’t think I’ll need it soon. It’s the knowledge and the exposure to new ways of doing the things I’ve been doing for some time now that I cherish and embrace! Diploma in Business Management and Administration from ICM. Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking from NAFTI. Master’s degree in Filmmaking from EICAR. Most importantly; a great understanding of running a professional film business, plus a bit of gorilla filmmaking sense. Officially done with anything school. Thanks be to God!🤣 .”

Congrats to him!
