Kumchacha blasts men asking him for Afia Pokuaa’s number after Manhyia incident

Controversial man of God Prophet Kumchacha has expressed frustration over men contacting him in hopes of getting Afia Pokua’s details.

The Ghanaian preacher has strongly condemned those who have ‘inundated’ him, warning them to stop pestering him for Pokua’s number.

The media personality has dominated headlines after her comments about the Asantehene and being summoned to Manhyia this week.

Afia Pokua gained notoriety after cricitising Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on live television over galamsey and alleged verbal attacks against the Dormaahene.

Her comments as a panellist on Mona Gucci’s show on Onua TV sparked widespread criticism and led to the Manhyia Palace summoning both ladies.

Despite Afia Pokua kneeling and prostrating, Otumfuo’s representatives rejected her apology, but it appears her curvy figure has also attracted attention.

Kumchacha hinted at this in an Instagram video, claiming he had received many calls from men interested in contacting the 30-year-old directly.

The preacher expressed annoyance at the situation, saying he was not ‘impotent’ to have another man ask him for an attractive lady’s phone number.

Ghanaians attack Sarkodie for being quiet about galamsey

0

Renowned Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has found himself at the centre of social media criticism for his silence regarding the recent arrests of protesters during the Democracy Hub demonstration.

The protests, which took place from September 21 to September 23, 2024, aimed to highlight the negative effects of galamsey (illegal mining) and address the nation’s growing economic challenges.

During the three-day demonstration, 39 protesters were detained by the police for what authorities described as “unlawful actions.”

In response to the arrests, a #FreeTheCitizens campaign quickly gained traction on social media, particularly on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Prominent figures in the entertainment industry, including Kwesi Arthur, Kelvin Boy, and Black Sherif, publicly supported the protesters, using their platforms to call for their release.

However, Sarkodie, widely regarded as one of the biggest names in Ghana’s music industry, has remained silent, leading to widespread criticism from fans and netizens.

Many have pointed out that the rapper was highly vocal about the challenges facing the country under John Mahama but has mute about addressing issues during Akuffo Addo’s regime.

This perceived bias has sparked outrage on social media, with some users accusing Sarkodie of turning a blind eye to the struggles of ordinary citizens.

As the #FreeTheCitizens movement continues to grow, many are still waiting for the celebrated rapper to break his silence and weigh in on the ongoing protests and arrests.

“We’re in a country where freedom of speech, especially by the youth, should be free for everyone. I asked if the police had put out a statement because I really don’t know the reason behind them being arrested. I’ve looked everywhere. I look on social media and I don’t see any particular reason why the police have arrested youth for demonstrating.

“There are people who are protesting, who are not protesting because of any party affiliations. Politics will always mar some of these things. You have 100 good nuts and then you have, like, 20 bad. That will take it to the extreme. But I feel like the police are supposed to protect us, not intimidate and distress us,” D-Black told GhanaWeb TV’s Elsie Lamar on Talkertainment.

Sharing his experience after participating in a demonstration some time ago, he recounted: “Last year I showed up at one of the protests at 37. It was a Sunday and there were thousands of people. This didn’t happen. So I’m really surprised.”

“I really pray and hope the right thing is done at this point,” D-Black added.
