It’s not a sin for gospel musicians to listen to secular songs – Joyce Blessing

0

Award-winning Gospel musician Joyce Blessing has asked people who criticize Gospel musicians for listening to secular music to reconsider their statements.

There has been a strong debate online led by Pastors who claim it is a sin for people who call themselves Christians to listen to worldly songs or secular songs.

According to some of these preachers, Christians who listen to such songs cannot refer to themselves as Christians any longer because it undermines their spiritual well-being.

But Joyce Blessing a strong Gospel musician in the country believes the Pastors’ explanations are flawed and the is a need for them to think about it again.

Speaking during an interview, she stated that some secular songs motivate and uplift the spirit of people so there is no way she would side with the Pastors.

Citing an example, she mentioned Akwaboah’s No Pressure and Sarkodie’s Countryside with Blacko as some example of songs that motivates people and not drag people into doing bad things.

I’ll become a prophetess soon – Salma Mumin reveals

0

Actress Salma Mumin believes she has all the qualities of a Prophetess and is likely to become one when the time is right.

According to the actress, she was trained in an Apostolic home because she lived with her Uncle and aunty who were leaders of the church as a child and they made sure she went by the teaching of the bible.

She disclosed that despite being little, she was a prayer warrior and always had vision whenever she prayed.

“I could see things when I prayed and I was part of a prayer warrior. As little as I was, each time I prayed, I saw things and that scared me,” she said.

During an interview, Salma revealed that she even attempted to read the Bible from Genesis to Revelations but she had to stop along the line because of the scary things she had read in some parts of Revelations.

Salma said: “Me, per se, I started reading the bible right from Genesis to Revelations, I couldn’t finish. I almost did [read the whole bible] but I couldn’t continue because I jumped to Revelations and God started revealing so much to me that I got scared.”

The Nation needs to build a statue for me – Maame Dokono

0

Veteran actress Grace Omaboe known professionally as Maame Dokono has asked that it high time the country build a statue in her honour.

According to Maame Dokono, she has played a role and made an impact in the Ghanaian movie industry and the coming generation needs to know about her.

Speaking during an interview with Blakk Rasta, she noted that there is a park named after her but she believes that is not enough.

The ‘By the Fireside’ host went on to say she is already featured in some textbooks and it would be right and good if a statue is erected in her honour.

She added that she is not forcing anyone to do it for her but she will be grateful if such a thing is done for her.

Gospel Musician, Philipa Baafi Reveals What Will Make Her ‘Fall’ For NDC

0

Despite being a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), something can influence Ghanaian Gospel musician, Philipa Baafi to have a soft spot for rivals—National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She revealed what will make her ‘fall’ for the NDC in an interview with B Ice on Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi.

Talking about her latest song ‘It’s Possible’ in the interview Zionfelix.net monitored, the popular Gospel musician said she wouldn’t mind allowing NDC to use it. However, it will be on a condition.

If the opposition party is ready to pay for the song, Baafi stated that she would allow them to use it for their campaign and other activities.

While the song matches the slogan of NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Philipa Baafi will be okay if the party—which she is a member of—decides to use it.

She added that after a song is released, it’s for public use—so anyone can use it.

Philipa Baafi further commended the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government for implementing the Free SHS policy which has helped many people.

Ghanaian Musician, Dada KD Heavily Berated On Social Media Over His Comment About Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s Dress Code

0

Ghanaian Highlife musician, Dada Kwaku Duah, well-known as Dada KD, is currently on the social media ‘chopping board’.

His comment about the dress code of NDC’s running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has landed him in trouble.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the ‘Enye Menye’ singer took to Facebook to share his view on how Prof. Opoku Agyemang dresses.

He wrote: “So can’t they do something about grandma’s dressing code? Ei! Let me pass and go eh! They’ll definitely come after me with insults but trust that we have become accustomed to their daily insults.”

Looking at his status in society, such a comment was not expected from him.

His followers have taken him to the cleanest level by speaking against his post.

Most of the people who commented on the post sighted by Zionfelix.net were disappointed.

Martin Awortwe said: “Dada Kwaku Duah Senior man I dey respect you too much. Please can you pull this post down 🙏. Your songs motivates me to be who I am today. Fathia Fata Nkrumah will remain my biggest song in this world I’m leaving. Please pull it down. I’m Soo sad about how they are trolling you here.”

Nana Oppong Kesse wrote: “A legend u are thinks like a fool.”

Elvis Doe commented: “Dress code is not a consideration for voting but in the mean time can you post the CV and picture of your biological mother here for us to compare.”

Snr Mampam Gh said: “What you guys should be worried about is Napo’s comments. Dressing don’t win election but stupid comments can have impact on your vote.
Thank you.”

Anokyewaaba Serwaa opined: “At her age, you don’t expect her to dress Like Samira. Maturity is knowing what’s best for you and doing it sir.”

Caleb Nii Boye also commented: “Senior man, so make she wear skin tight or show your breast? Let’s elevate from this style oo.”
