I Have Not Been Contacted By Any Political Party To Record A Campaign Song – Great Ampong Denies Claims

Great Ampong has denied claims that he has received money from a political party to record a campaign song.

The Gospel musician said in an interview that no political had contacted him.

He stressed that never in his life has he received money from political parties.

After denying the rumours, the popular Gospel musician confirmed his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

However, his political affiliation won’t have an effect on his beliefs and work ethic.

“Whoever said I have received money for a campaign song is dreaming, I haven’t been contacted or received any money to record a campaign song. Whether I choose to release a political song this year or not, my allegiance to the NPP remains steadfast,” Great Ampong said in an interview on Connect 97.1 FM’s “Edwumapa mbr3,” hosted by Nana Yaw Gyebi.

Dumsor, erratic power supply in Ghana has been affecting businesses and individuals in the country lately.

Ghanaian artiste, Kofi Kinaata is not spared when it comes to dumsor.

He revealed how dumsor is affecting his business in a recent interview.

According to him, his workers have been calling him often to complain.

“My workers at home call every 15 minutes to complain about ‘dumsor’ but I can’t even talk about it,” Kofi Kinaata stated.

Despite the challenges in the country, he said Ghanaians cannot talk because of politics.

“Over the years, we have been sweet-talked to by politicians in this country but nothing happens and there is no change. For me, I’ve given up.

“Besides, the people are making things difficult so we cannot address issues because someone thinks he is for party A so whatever you’re saying goes against party A so don’t say. 

“He is for party B so even if he’s dying, he will still stand for his party. People tend to love their party more than the country and therefore, everything is in a mess,” the ‘Susuka’ singer said.

Ghanaian musician, Kofi Kinaata, has disclosed why he couldn’t pursue a career in football.

He opened up on his love for football in a recent interview.

The popular musician revealed he chose music over football because of the lack of money to buy a pair of boots.

Kinaata averred it’s not a requirement for one to buy expensive equipment before starting a career in music. This influenced his decision.

“Money for boots was the main problem…but with music, you don’t need to buy a microphone before you can sing. You just sing then you pass it on to the owner,” he said on Citi TV’s “The Chat”.

Kofi Kinaata is in preparation to release his ‘Kofi OO Kofi’ EP on May 3, 2024.

“I’m here because of the fans and the fans are the ones pestering me to release an EP or album. 

Since it’s a team now and they’re on my neck to release something, I decided to release it for them to stream,” he stated.

Further checks indicate that Creative Director, Soafrican made an earlier post about the music video project with King Promise.

Soafrican was also dressed as part of the groom’s men for the ‘fake’ marriage ceremony in the music video.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pa Zulu Adigwe has died.

According to checks, the Nollywood legend died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Movie producer Stanley Nwoke, also known as Stanley Ontop, revealed the news of Pa Zulu’s passing on his Instagram page.

The producer did not provide any details about the casue of Adigwe’s passing, simply stating,

“I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor. Late Mr Zulu Adigwe… what caused his death is yet to be known”.

According to Zack, he received different calls from people who reached out to him in years, simply because they were concerned for him.

”I can only say that sometimes social media has made people to be so reckless and callous to the point of spreading fake news just to grow their page.”

Zack Orji further thanked the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for their support.

It will be recalled that the actor slumped last year December 2023 and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the National Hospital in Abuja, before he was transferred to a private hospital for surgery.

Actor Kyekyeku has talked about the amount he received from Vivian Jill Lawrence.

Barely a month and some weeks ago, it was reported that popular Kumawood actress gave Kyekyeku GHS 10,000.

He made a clarification about the amount given to him by Vivian in an interview with ZionFelix.

Kyekyeku revealed the actual amount he received from Vivian Jill was GHS 5,000.

He explained that the popular actress gave him the money in the form of buying tickets for the premiere of his ‘1957’ movie in Kumasi.

The Amount Silverbird Cinema Wanted To Charge Me For The Premiere Of ‘1957’ Movie Was Too Much – Kyekyeku

Kyekyeku has revealed the amount Silverbird Cinema wanted to charge him when contacted.

While preparing for the premiere of his ‘1957’ movie in Accra, the actor said he got in touch with the managers of the facility.

However, he could not afford the amount they were charging.

Kyekyeku told ZionFelix in an interview that the handlers of Silverbird Cinema demanded GHS 15,000 per hall.

The young actor stated that he couldn’t reach an agreement with them because of the high charge.

He candidly said his budget was not up to the charge requested by Silverbird Cinema.

Kyekyeku added that this compelled him to settle on the National Theatre for the premiere.

The premiere of Kyekyeku’s ‘1957’ movie in Accra will come off on April 27, 2024.
