The husband of the ex-convict evangelist Patricia Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, expressed his gratitude while addressing congregants at the Heaven Way Champions International Ministry.

In his speech, Angel Asiamah explained why he was grateful to the first couple and Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

“After she was sentenced, we always prayed and asked God to touch the hearts of President Mahama, his wife, Lordina, and the Vice President.

We know that they were also not pleased when Agradaa was jailed. Just as we were praying, we believe they were also interceding for us. We are grateful to them.”

Mr Beautiful Reveals Presidential Ambition, Considers Starting As MP

0

Ghanaian actor Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr Beautiful, has revealed that he would not rule out a future bid for the presidency, saying he is ready to step into frontline politics when the opportunity and conditions are right.

The actor, who is known for his open support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), spoke about his political ambitions during a recent appearance on Hitz FM. In the interview, he reflected on the possibility of moving beyond political advocacy to actively contest for leadership.

According to Mr Beautiful, the thought of leading the country is not just a passing idea. He said it is an ambition he has seriously considered and one he is willing to pursue through the proper political process.

“Yes, I have an interest in occupying a political position. I want to become the next president. Who wouldn’t want to be in that position? I want to become means it’s a process. I will go through a certain process to become,” he said.

While the presidency remains his ultimate goal, the actor indicated that his first step into elective politics could begin with a parliamentary seat if the circumstances align.

He explained that such a move would depend largely on the support of his constituents as well as the resources needed to run a campaign.

“I can start with being MP if I have the resources and my constituency thinks that I can serve them better, I will go for it,” he shared.

Mr Beautiful also made it clear that he does not believe in waiting endlessly for what some people call the “right time” before chasing their ambitions.

“I’m not the kind of person who would think it’s not their time. It’s my time and I will always dream big. You have to dream big and start now,” Mr Beautiful further stated.

AJ Sarpong Reveals How A Single Yes Brought CKay And Kuami Eugene Together

0

When a social media user challenged media personality AJ Sarpong to share a music industry story that sounds made up but is completely true, she delivered a behind-the-scenes account that reads like folklore yet helped shape one of the biggest Afrobeats records in recent memory.

He said: Tell me a story that sounds fabricated but is 100% true. Music industry edition. “Don’t air me,” the user added, half-joking.

Sarpong’s response rewound the clock to late 2019, just before the world changed.

At the time, the Nigerian label Chocolate City had contacted her to coordinate press and potential collaborations for two of its rising stars, CKay and Blaqbonez. Through her boutique firm, Sarpong handled publicity, events and promotions, and she quickly secured media placements. The harder task was locking in creative partnerships on the ground in Ghana.

“I did the work, got all the press sorted but the problem now became collaborations!” she recalled.

She reached out widely, contacting several artists in hopes of pairing CKay and Blaqbonez with Ghanaian talent. The responses were underwhelming. Some never replied. Others stalled. A few prominent names, she hinted, were simply not forthcoming.

With options thinning, she turned to Albert, then with Lynxx Entertainment. After a string of rejections, his answer stood out.

“So I finally reached out to Albert, then of Lynxx Ent, and surprisingly after many No’s he said the first Yes, sure anything for me! Imagine my relief!”

That yes set off a chain reaction.

Sarpong escorted the Nigerian acts to Lynxx’s camp, where sessions began almost immediately. CKay and Kuami Eugene clicked. Beats rolled. Melodies bounced around the room. In the middle of it all, CKay played a track he had been working on titled “Love Nwatintin.”

Kuami Eugene was hooked.

“Kuami loved it and created some magic right there with a verse!” Sarpong said.

Months later, in 2020, the song was officially released. Sarpong threw her weight behind it, becoming the first to spin it on radio and pushing for broader circulation. She hoped it would catch fire.

It didn’t. Not immediately.

“Was disappointed cos I looooved the song!” she admitted.

Then March arrived. Covid-19 swept across the globe. Borders closed. Streets emptied. People retreated indoors and scrolled. TikTok surged as a cultural force. Somewhere in that swirl of lockdown boredom and algorithmic discovery, “Love Nwatintin” found a second life.

The remix took off internationally, morphing into one of the most viral Afrobeats tracks in the world. What once struggled for rotation became unavoidable, soundtracking dance challenges, wedding videos and countless online trends.

“And the rest they say is history,” she wrote, laughing at how improbable it all now seems.

AJ Sarpong took the pride personal. Before the streaming numbers, before the global charts, before the pandemic unexpectedly amplified its reach, there was a studio session in Ghana made possible by a single yes.

“Always proud of my role in bringing those 2 incredible artistes into the same room.”

Adina Says Ghana’s Music Industry Must Move Faster To Compete Globally

Award-winning singer Adina Thembi says Ghana’s music industry is on the right track, but the momentum needs a serious push.

Speaking in a recent interview with MX24, the vocalist was asked what she would change if given the power to reset the system. Her response centered on acceleration. In her view, growth is happening, but at a pace that makes life harder than necessary for working musicians.

“If I had the chance to change anything in the industry, I would speed up the growth. We’re growing as an industry. I will speed it up a little more to make things easier for musicians. This is our world and our 9-5,” she said.

While acknowledging visible progress, Adina pointed to lingering structural shortcomings that continue to weigh on creatives. She noted that certain tools and advancements considered basic in other markets are still not readily available locally, a gap she believes directly affects both productivity and overall performance standards.

“Some of the things we haven’t in this part of the world gotten yet, turn out to affect productivity. When we look outside, we see technologies that we don’t have yet,” she shared.

To make her argument clearer, she highlighted developments in live performance equipment. According to her, stage technology in more advanced markets has evolved to the point where sound systems can be tailored to complement an artiste’s specific vocal texture.

“For instance, microphones nowadays on stage can be programmed to suit the artistes’ voice, and they sound beautiful,” she noted.

Adina stressed that Ghanaian musicians are not short on ability. What they often lack, she implied, is the same level of technical infrastructure that helps their international counterparts shine.

“When we watch international shows, we see how great some artistes sound and we can also sound so great. We don’t have that technology yet, but I wish we had so that we can also catch up.”

“I’m tired of living in the US – Okatakyie Afrifa laments in new video

0

Ghanaian media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has sparked widespread discussion on social media after sharing candid remarks about his life in the United States and his desire to return to Ghana.

Speaking on his show For The Records on Monday, March 4, the outspoken broadcaster disclosed that he relocated to the U.S. primarily to further his education rather than to pursue better economic opportunities.

During the programme, Afrifa-Mensah admitted that he is growing weary of life abroad and hopes to return to Ghana once his studies are completed.

“I want to come back, I am tired. Those eager to relocate here will not understand what we are saying unless they also come,” he said.

He emphasised that his move to the United States was purely academic, explaining that the harsh weather conditions and lifestyle adjustments have been difficult for him.

“Mine is not about money but rather the decision to further my studies. This is what has brought me to live in this cold weather,” he added.

The media personality also described life in the U.S. as isolating compared to the social environment in Ghana.

According to him, his daily routine revolves mainly around attending classes and returning to his residence, with little opportunity for social interaction.

“This country, you don’t have people to talk with, you barely meet people, it is an isolated society. From school, you return to your room, coupled with the snow and its attendant cold weather,” he explained.

Afrifa-Mensah further argued that if African countries, particularly Ghana, were well developed, many citizens would not feel compelled to relocate abroad in search of better opportunities.

He pointed to issues such as corruption, inadequate healthcare systems, and challenges within the education sector as key factors pushing many Africans to seek opportunities overseas.

“If we are seriously developing our nation by providing better healthcare, good schools, and shunning corruption, this is not an ideal place for us to be,” he said.

“Find Your Best Friend” – Akwaboah Shares Secret To A Strong Marriage

0

While many online conversations portray marriage as a gamble, Ghanaian singer Akwaboah says his own journey tells a different story.

Speaking in an interview with Pulse Ghana, the artiste reflected on his personal life and described his marriage as stable and satisfying. He observed that social media often amplifies stories of conflict and regret, creating an impression that unions are more burden than blessing. In his view, that narrative leaves out an important side of the experience.

“My marriage life is a good one. I keep telling people that sometimes you see some posts on social media talking about the negatives in marriages, but there are also positives in marriage that you don’t have to be scared of getting into,” he stated.

According to him, the real work begins with selecting the right partner. He maintained that genuine friendship and thoughtful decision making should outweigh attraction to status, beauty or financial standing.

“You just need to know who you’re with, find your best friend, and make a strong choice. If you want to go because you’re looking at what they have, in terms of beauty or money, that’s the biggest mistake you would ever make,” he advised.

Akwaboah cautioned that relying on physical appeal or wealth as the basis for commitment can lead to disappointment, since neither is guaranteed to last.

“Beauty fades, and with money, you can even lose your job. But for me, so far so good,” Akwaboah further stated.

John Dumelo Breaks Silence On Alleged $3 Million Cantonments Home

0

Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo has responded with humour after social media users linked him to an alleged multimillion-dollar property in one of Accra’s most affluent neighbourhoods.

A video circulating on X claimed to show a $3 million mansion in Cantonments, suggesting the upscale residence belonged to Dumelo. The post praised the public figure, describing him as “our most successful actor and minister” and adding that “He deserves everything good and more.”

But Dumelo appeared just as surprised as everyone else.

“Ah which side of Cantonments?” he replied, a short but pointed response that cast doubt on the claim without directly addressing it.

The exchange quickly gained traction online, with many interpreting his comment as a lighthearted denial. Others viewed it as a subtle way of distancing himself from the speculation while keeping the mood playful.

Dumelo, who built his name in Ghana’s film industry before transitioning into public service, has remained a visible figure both in entertainment and politics. His response to the mansion claim reflects a pattern familiar to many public personalities navigating viral narratives: sometimes a simple question says enough.

As of now, there has been no further clarification regarding the ownership of the property shown in the video. But Dumelo’s reaction has ensured that the conversation, at least for the moment, belongs to him.

Stonebwoy Explains Why Fame Will Never Control His Creativity

Popular Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy says the spotlight has expanded his range, not boxed him in.

Speaking in a recent interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM, the award-winning performer reflected on how growing recognition has shaped his journey. For him, the creative impulse must always come first, with public acclaim trailing behind.

“Fame has not pressured me to dilute; it has rather inspired me to diversify. That’s the true purpose of creativity. Fame is just like the after result of creativity, so we thank God that our creativity is bringing us the result of fame,” he explained.

Stonebwoy made it clear that reversing that order can be risky. When artists begin to chase applause instead of ideas, he warned, the work can lose its core.

“If you allow fame to now direct the creativity, we might lose it at a point,” Stonebwoy further stated.
