Just In: Highlife Legend K.K. Kabobo Passes On After Battling Liver Disease

Zionfelix.net is picking up reports that suggest that legendary Highlife musician, Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo popularly known as K. K. Kabobo has passed on.

His death follows recent reports that he was battling liver disease.

The revelation about his death was made known to the public by Highlife musician, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah who spoke on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme.

The “Onyame Ehu Wu” hitmaker until his demise in the early hours of Thursday, March 14, 2024 hit-maker was receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC).

When reports about his illness became public knowledge a lot of media personalities including Sleeky of Sleeky Promotions, Wendy Shay, ex-president John Dramani Mahama, and many others came to his aid by contributing money to foot his hospital bills.

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Alex Kofi Adu, otherwise known as Agya Koo has raised his voice against the prevalent trend of insults and explicit content, particularly sex scenes, in Ghanaian movies.

The acclaimed actor, known for his comedic prowess and cultural impact, has expressed his concern over the direction in which the local film industry is heading.

The screen legend, while expressing his concerns in an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, criticised the portrayal of graphic sex in films, citing its detrimental impact on societal morals, particularly among young viewers.

He believes that excessive use of insults and inappropriate scenes not only diminishes the quality of storytelling but also sends the wrong message to viewers, especially the younger audience.

According to the Kumawood actor, children often watch these movies and could easily adopt negative behaviours such as the use of insults, as well as being influenced by explicit scenes.

Agya Koo further pointed out examples from other film industries, like Bollywood, where romantic interactions are implied rather than explicitly depicted.

The manager of Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex has complained about how Andy Dosty is treating his artiste.

In a video titled ‘Love Letter to Andy Dosty’ sighted by Zionfelix.net, told the Hitz FM presenter to stop claiming Shatta Wale is his boy.

He said Andy wouldn’t treat Wale like what he is doing now if he is his boy as he claims.

Sammy stressed that the things Andy Dosty is doing to the Shatta Movement boss clearly indicate that he is not his boy.

The artiste manager and media personality revealed he personally defends his boys or corrects the people who make wrong assertions about them.

He wondered why the popular radio presenter would vow not to talk about Shatta Wale or play his songs on Hitz FM but turn around to discuss him on Adom TV.

He was also shocked about Andy supporting Sally Mann over claims that Wale lacked confidence when he performed at the opening ceremony of the 13th African Games in Ghana.

Dr Bawumia visits YOLO star Drogba after plea for financial aid (Video)

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has extended his sympathies and support to John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, a YOLO actor who has been diagnosed with demyelination.

Drogba has been diagnosed with demyelination, a disorder that damages the protective covering of the nerves, causing problems with vision, movement, and sensation.

The Vice-President visited the actor in his home on Tuesday, March 12 to sympathise with him and offer support for his treatment process.

A video of the visit posted on X show the Vice-President being welcomed by family members of the actor.

The sad news of Drogba’s condition was shared by colleague actor Jeffrey Nortey who appealed for support and financial assistance for the actor.

A demyelinating disease is any condition that causes damage to the protective covering (myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve fibers in your brain, the nerves leading to the eyes (optic nerves) and spinal cord. When the myelin sheath is damaged, nerve impulses slow or even stop, causing neurological problems.

Drogba or Blah Charles as he is known in the popular YOLO series, plays the role of a ‘lover boy’ and would go any means to get any woman he desires.

YOLO is a Ghanaian teenage TV series which premiered in 2016.

The series is a sequel of the Ghanaian TV series Things We Do for Love. It advises and directs the youth concerning the challenges they face in their adolescent stage.

I Nearly Died – Nana Ama McBrown Recounts Being Poisoned

Popular actress and television presenter, Nana Ama McBrown, has recounted being poisoned.

She shared her poisoning experience in an interview with Emelia Brobbey.

McBrown recalled he had a severe stomach ache after eating food on set.

The painful experience landed her at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she was treated.

“I went to eat at a particular place, and I nearly died. It looked like the food was poisoned. I wouldn’t say someone intended to poison or harm me. I was eating with another person, and she left at a point, claiming she was satisfied.

“After 40 minutes, I started experiencing severe stomach ache. I was taken to Komfo Anokye Hospital, and I spent two weeks there for medical treatment,” she narrated.

“I could not eat for four days because I was diagnosed with poison. I had to do that to clear the substances from my system,” Nana Ama McBrown added.

My “Odo Bi Ye Bad” Song Would’ve Still Hit Without King Paluta – Rap Fada Claims

Barely a month after teaming up with King Paluta on his ‘Odo Bi Ye Bad’ song, Rap Fada has made a shocking remark.

Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, Rap Fada claimed the song would have still become a hit without King Paluta.

He argued that Paluta’s verse wouldn’t have been known if he had sung it alone or was not on his song.

Rap Fada explained that the vibe that his song carries also did the magic.

Popular Ghanaian content creator, Felix Adomako Mensah, known in the online space as ZionFelix, has eulogized Ameyaw Debrah.

He touted the contribution of his colleague to blogging in a recent interview with Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K aired on Top City TV.

Zion stated that Ameyaw Debrah “made blogging – blogging” in Ghana.

Looking at Ameyaw Debrah’s enormous contribution to making blogging an attractive and successful venture in Ghana, the owner of ADOMEF Media said he deserved to have a statue built in his honour.

He made this statement while recalling his blogging journey.

After working with OMG Ghana, ZionFelix revealed he was also writing for Nowghana.com, a website owned by Ameyaw Debrah some years ago.

Zion recounted he started capturing videos after taking inspiration from one of Ameyaw Debrah’s websites dedicated to posting photos from events in the country.

Being one of the pioneers of blogging in Ghana, ZionFelix stressed that Ameyaw deserves to be honoured.

The award-winning blogger mentioned his love for blogging and working for multiple websites when he was schooling at the University of Ghana.

Entertainment pundit, Emmanuel Barnes, well-known as Mr Logic, has declared his intention to sue Lilwin.

His decision to sue the popular actor comes after he accused him of using ‘weed toffee’.

Mr Logic and Lilwin had a disagreement after the former commented on Lilwin’s ‘A Country Called Ghana’—of which Nigerian actors, Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum and Awilo Sharp Sharp are included in the casts.

The Entertainment Pundit questioned why Lilwin was featuring Nigerian actors in a movie titled ‘A Country Called Ghana’.

Following this, Lilwin accused Mr Logic of taking marijuana-infused toffees in a recent interview.

Logic, who is unhappy with the statement made by the popular actor, has threatened to sue him.

“He has granted an interview saying that I use weed toffee. But that one, I’m taking it very personally. That is very insulting, and I’m not taking it lightly.

“I didn’t insult him, I didn’t attack him. You can play back the video and even my words. I didn’t say anything. I was only defending the name of Ghana,” he said on Hitz FM.

“That is very insulting, and I’m not taking it lightly. In the next few days, his suit will be ready and it will surprise Ghanaians. All jokes aside, this particular statement, I won’t take it lightly,” Mr Logic stressed.
