Joy Prime’s KMJ Reveals How He Planned To Face Nigel Gaisie In Court After He Threatened Him With A Lawsuit

Co-host of Prime Morning on Joy Prime, Kpekpo Maxwell Justice, popularly known as KMJ, has revealed he was threatened to be sued by Prophet Nigel Gaisie.

In a Facebook post sighted by Zionfelix.net, KMJ disclosed the Founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel called his co-host a few months ago, opening up about his intention to sue him (KMJ).

According to him, Prophet Gaisie claimed he was tarnishing his image with his morning show.

Unfazed about the lawsuit threat, the media personality said he would have faced him in court with ten lawyers.

KMJ was very confident of winning the case easily.

He wrote: “Few months ago, same NIGEL GAISIE called one of my co-hosts to tell me that he’s going to sue me because I’m using my morning show to tarnish his image.

I told my co-cost to tell him I’ve got 10 lawyers waiting for him and I’m the lead lawyer. I go win that case simple. I still dey wait am. SAME NYAME NIPA, NIGEL! #GodsHumourOnEarth.”

After his post, Prophet Nigel Gaisie reacted that he should keep on disrespecting prophets without any provocation.

He added that time is his confidence.

The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has advised young artistes to try and write sensible songs.

He said this would help them in their careers.

The MUSIGA President gave this advice when speaking on GTV.

Apart from their careers lasting for a long time, Mr Simons averred they would earn respect and recognition if they write sensible songs.

“In your lifetime, you must try and write one sensible song. I say this to the young ones all the time, and that song might survive you through your music career,” he said.

He also talked about the importance of artistes learning how to play live music.

“The trick is for every musician to know how to play with a live band because you cannot mime all along. Look at the likes of Gyedu-Blay Ambolley playing live music. There is this longevity in it,” Bessa Simons stated.

It Was Disheartening – Okyeame Kwame Recalls Working At GHAMRO

Okyeame Kwame has recalled what he experienced at the time he was working with the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).

When speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz program, the Ghanaian artiste opened up about his bad experience.

After working with GHAMRO five years ago, he described the experience as disheartening.

“I worked at GHAMRO for seven months and the experience was disheartening. Sometimes after we’ve planned for elections and the time is due, then somebody will put an injunction to disrupt the whole process. Since I left GHAMRO, It took me five years to pass by there again because I was heartbroken.

“If you work for GHAMRO wholeheartedly you may end up dying. This is because your superiors or subordinates don’t care about you so we struggle to talk about the institution on radio,” Okyeame Kwame said.

He called on the leaders at GHAMRO to work on things that would help creatives earn what is due to them.

I Made $9,000 On Facebook Within A Month, Nigerians Make More Than $20,000 – Comedian Waris Reveals

Ghanaian comedian, Abdul Waris Umaru, popularly known as Comedian Waris, has confirmed receiving $9,000 within a month on Facebook.

Waris told ZionFelix in an interview that this was the highest he had earned in a month.

He explained that a lot of work was done by him before earning this amount.

Comedian Waris recalled investing in his content, travelling and working harder before he made the $9,000.

He believes in the hard work pays adage.

Wendy Shay laments over no structures in the country to reward veteran musicians

Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay has shared her grief over how music legends are left to suffer without enough support and recognition.

According to her, the industry lacked a structure that rewarded musicians who had contributed to the growth and development of the music scene.

Wendy was on the New Day show on TV3, March 8, 2024, speaking about the situation of veteran musician KK Kabobo, who requires assistance as he battles liver disease.

Wendy Shay had visited KK Kabobo after news broke that the veteran musician was suffering from liver disease and needed assistance. She donated a sum of GH₵10,000 and called for more help for him.

According to her, if KK Kabobo had enjoyed the benefits and opportunities that the current generation of musicians have, he would have been fine.

“There was a little bit of a heartbreak to see our legends go through these kinds of states because I feel there is no structure in the industry that is paying musicians who have paid their dues.

“Imagine if at that time they had what we are enjoying today, I think they would have been fine because he had monster hit songs. And it’s just sad that we are now catching up,” she said.

Wendy Shay urged the public to support KK Kabobo and other veteran musicians who are facing challenges.

She also called on the authorities to create a system that would ensure the welfare and recognition of veteran musicians in Ghana.

KK Kabobo is a veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician who has recorded many hit songs, such as ‘Onyame Ahu Wo,’ ‘Nyatse Nyatse Girl,’ and ‘Running Away.’

He is also a Reverend Minister who was ordained in 2012 by Covenant Mission Bible College in Achimota.

He is currently suffering from liver disease and needs financial assistance for his treatment. He has received support from some influential individuals, including Second Lady Samira Bawumia and former President John Mahama.

Ghanaian musician Captain Planet of 4×4 fame has advised young Ghanaians to seize any opportunity to leave the country for good, citing pervasive despair among the youth.

In an interview with Empire FM, he questioned the rationale for returning, highlighting the stark reality of joblessness despite claims of significant job creation.

“What are they coming back to do? What better thing is in this country? Nothing. All the boys are complaining that they don’t have jobs but everyday we have someone claiming to have created over 120,000 jobs. So where are all those jobs?” he lamented in an interview with Empire FM.

Captain Planet emphasized concerns about the nation’s deficient healthcare system and condemns the taxation of medicine, even in dire circumstances such as illness.

“Even when you get money and go to hospital when you are sick, you are being taxed on the medicine so in that case, even the dying is being taxed,” he stated.

RuffTown Records artiste, Wendy Shay, has disclosed some of the challenges that female artistes in Ghana face.

Talking about the male-dominated music industry in Ghana, the singer asserted that women in the industry are mostly ignored and rejected.

Apart from a lack of investors and opportunities, Wendy Shay said many female artistes face discrimination and harassment from their male colleagues.

“This is a male-dominated industry where women are mostly overlooked, and there is this stereotype that makes women feel rejected. And the funny thing is, it’s not even just we not having investors in the industry, we get rejected by our male counterparts,” she said on the New Day show on TV3.

According to her, some male artistes demand s3x in exchange for collaborations with female artistes.
