The International Director for World Sports Academy, Xavi Hidalgo has announced he will be in Ghana to specially visit the academy of Ghana movie actor and entrepreneur, Yaw Dabo.

Xavi Hidalgo in a video shared on his social media pages disclosed that he will be in Ghana from June 9, 2023, to June 15, 2023.

Sarkodie always extends his hands when I need help – D-Black reveals

In the course of an exclusive interview on the ‘Enjoyment Drive’ show with Monique Law, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik and well-known as D-Black, opened up about his enduring bond with the acclaimed rapper, Sarkodie.

D-Black recounted how he has known Sarkodie even before becoming a global star.

“He’s cool, I’ve known him since I released my first album and he released his a year before, I think we met even before commercial success.

I used to live a street behind where he comes to record and that was where Edem and Kwaw Kese always recorded,” he said.

Reacting to the claims from other artists about Sarkodie not responding to texts or messages clarified that Sarkodie is very cool and has always come through for him.

“So he got into the industry first and I joined a year or two after and he’s just been cool, we’ve jammed on some four songs together.

I’ve asked him to do verses for my artistes and my producers, he’s done all of them, every single request he has come through and that’s the coolest friendship. Anytime he needs me I’m there and anytime I need him he is there,” he stated.

Sally Frimpong Mann, a prominent Ghanaian entertainment critic, has commended Francine Koffie, better known as Fantana, for her decision to pursue acting and her role in the widely acclaimed Netflix reality show, “Young, Famous & African.”

During her appearance on the United Showbiz show on UTV last weekend, Sally expressed her belief that Fantana’s music career had waned a while ago.

Therefore, her venture into acting could be her best chance at achieving success in the entertainment industry.

While making her controversial submission, Sally Mann opined that Fantana is a smart lady to notice she wouldn’t break through with her music.

Sally explained during by saying , “She is one person whose music career or music couldn’t help her but if it (music) is not helping, she should be known for something…I think she is smart.

Me, I like smart girls like that. When you come into a space and feel you should have taken a certain course but the course doesn’t go well but you find another opportunity, then ask yourself what can I do? And you take advantage of the opportunity, I don’t see anything wrong with that”.

Efya and Blakk Rasta reconcile

In a remarkable turn of events, Efya, the talented Ghanaian singer, has publicly declared her profound admiration and affection for Blakk Rasta during an interview on Asempa FM.

This has overturned her previous statement during an interview where she claimed not to know him or any of his songs.

According to Efya, Blakk Rasta is a person she deeply respects and admires.

The award-winning singer’s new heartfelt expression of love signifies a newfound appreciation for his artistry and impact.

Recall that on February 2, 2023, Efya in an interview with GHone TV was quizzed if she knew the radio presenter, Blakk Rasta.

In her response, she answered by saying that she doesn’t know him including Blakk Rasta’s personality and his works.

She said: Who is that? He is a rapper; he is what? He’s a radio journalist? But journalists say what they want. They don’t care. I don’t think I know who he is. What does he do, radio?

The host to help the singer recall the radio presenter sang Blakk Rasta’s popular song, ‘Barack Obama’ that was when she remembered the name sounded familiar to him.

“Oh, that funny man, yeah yeah yeah. He does funny songs, right? Listen, everyone for himself, God for us all”, she stated.

Blakk Rasta then replied to the comment she passed but was livid when Efya said he does funny songs. This, therefore, generated some tension between the singer and the radio presenter.

Efya, in an interview with Asempa 94.7 cleared the air by stating that she mistook Blakk Rasta for someone else which is why she denied knowing him earlier on.

Afia Schwarzenegger Sues Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Ghanaian comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger, popularly known as Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, has sued Lawyer Maurice Ampaw.

In a writ of summons sighted by Zionfelix.net, Afia is requesting GHS 1000,000 in damages for defamation in slander.

She is also seeking an order of perpetual injunction to restrain the defendant from in any way telling, saying or discussing anything about her on any communication channel, whether print, radio, electronic or social media.

The Plaintiff wants the defendant to pay costs, including legal fees.

Ghanaian actress, Luckie Lawson, has called on Ghanaians to celebrate filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso.

She said the CEO of Sparrow Productions is doing well in a male-dominated field.

However, Luckie thinks she is not celebrated enough.

“Shirley needs to be celebrated for her contribution to the growth of Ghana’s movie industry. The producer/director role is mostly dominated by the men but Shirley has proven to be one of the best movie producers challenging the man and doing so well and I really admire her for that,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

“Shirley needs to be celebrated for her contributions in the movie industry. The producer/director role is mostly dominated by the men but Shirley has proven to be one of the best movie producers challenging the men and doing so well and I really admire her for that,” Luckie Lawson added.

She also disclosed her observation about Shirley after working with her.

“I knew her to be one of the best but never knew her as someone who never rests until she gets what she wants. She wouldn’t mind asking you to do several takes for one particular scene.

“In fact, a lot of actors refuse to work with here because she also wants the best. Working with her on Madam got me closer to her and indeed my love for her has increased.

“Some of us want to be like her and continue her good works. I have produced movies before but Shirley is on another level,” said Luckie.
