Akosua Agyapong is a fat lair – Rex Omar fires

Recent tensions have emerged between two prominent figures within the industry, Akosua Agyapong and Rex Omar, in relation to the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) and the unfortunate passing of Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr, the father of Akwaboah Jnr.

Rex Omar, a respected Ghanaian highlife singer who also serves as the chairman of the interim management committee of GHAMRO, has voiced strong criticism towards Akosua Agyapong, accusing her of spreading fabricated stories with the intent to tarnish GHAMRO’s reputation.

These allegations stem from Akosua Agyapong’s claims that the GHAMRO leadership neglected to provide financial assistance to the late Kwadwo Akwaboah when he required support to cover his medical expenses.

In a recent interview on Adom FM, Akosua Agyapong revealed that she had received a call from Kwadwo Akwaboah about three months prior to his death.

During the conversation, Akwaboah lamented about how Abraham Adjetey of GHAMRO had sent him a meager GHC250 for medical bills.

The renowned musician, known for his hit song ‘Kokooko,’ expressed strong disapproval of the gesture, considering it highly condemnable.

He did not hold back in criticizing the leadership of GHAMRO, headed by Rex Omar, for their poor performance.

However, Rex Omar, in a Facebook comment on Saturday, May 20, 2023, referred to Akosua Agyapong as the biggest liar.

He expressed his bewilderment as to why she chose to talk about the deceased’s alleged plight only after his death.

He explained by saying, “Akosua is the biggest liar! So why didn’t she speak about it till now that the man is dead? We have no such records in our welfare books. Kwadwo was a very proud man and will never say any such thing to anyone.”

The crooner added by saying, “During his (Akwaboah Snr) entire years of sickness, it’s only once he ever asked for assistance from Ghamro and when he did, Ghamro welfare led took him to the hospital in their vehicle to meet his doctor and there was no money paid to Kwadwo himself but to the hospital. Records are there to prove this, Kwadwo is dead so now all of a sudden Akosua has become his spokesperson? She should shut up with her fabricated stories and allow the man rest in peace.”

Back in 2021, Fella Makafui and Medikal hosted a grand party to officially introduce their 5-bedroom house, which garnered significant attention from the public.

The construction of this house was supposedly intended for their daughter, Island Frimpong, as evidenced by her name being prominently inscribed in the swimming pool.

However, during that time, certain individuals took to social media, claiming that the house was, in fact, owned by a real estate developer, and Fella Makafui and Medikal were merely promoting it through their advertisement.

But responding to all the above claims almost two years down the line, Fella Makafui, during an interview with Zionfelix insisted that Medikal and her are the sole owners of the house.

Zionfelix: They said you guys were running an advert for a real estate firm but it’s been two years and you people are still in the house…

Fella Makafui responded: “Have you seen someone advertising a property with her name customized in the pool before? It’s not an advert. The guy we tagged in our post whenever we flaunt the house on social media, was actually the one who built the house for us. He is a contractor.”

Zionfelix: So are you building another one?

Fella Makafui: Oh Yeah

Fella Makafui has strongly refuted allegations suggesting that she has undergone any artificial procedures to enhance her physique.

While it has become increasingly common for Ghanaian celebrities to opt for Brazilian Butt Lifts and other forms of body enhancement, Fella Makafui firmly asserts that she should not be included when tallying up Ghanaian socialites who have pursued such methods.

Disputing the claims, Fella Makafui says ‘she got it all from mama and not any doctor’.

In a conversation with Ghanaian blogger, Zion Felix, she said “I don’t see anything wrong with what I wear. I have a nice body and am proud of that“.

Asked if it has been enhanced, she added that “No, I have not enhanced my body. Ever since you knew me, I have been in this industry since 2016, I have always been like this from YOLO“.

I have gained weight, I have lost weight. Have you seen my mum before? My mum is so endowed, come on,” she explained.

Talking about how she deals with trolls online, she said;

I don’t read the comments. I just come, post and go. It is hard for me to read comments of what people post about me. They don’t know you, it is just on social media…clearly what I do on social media is not me,” she said.
