Mzbel has pushed back strongly against Prophet Fire Oja’s public denial of his arrest, insisting that he was in fact detained by police over remarks she considers defamatory.

Speaking in a recent interview with ZionFelix, the singer, known in private life as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, maintained that Fire Oja’s claims do not reflect what actually transpired after she formally reported him. She explained that the prophet was taken into custody only after he eventually honoured a police invitation linked to comments he had made about her online.

Mzbel said the issue began with what she described as derogatory statements directed at her, prompting her to lodge a complaint with law enforcement. According to her account, once Fire Oja appeared before the police, officers informed her that he would be held for 48 hours because he initially refused to write a statement.

She further disclosed that after leaving the police station, she received a follow-up call from officers with a significant update. Mzbel said she was told that Fire Oja later changed his stance, admitted fault and accepted responsibility for his actions.

The singer emphasized that her decision to pursue the matter was driven by a desire to protect her reputation rather than to cause harm to the prophet. She said her concern grew after observing a pattern in how he treats people on social media, which she believes needed to be addressed through the proper legal channels.

Mzbel also made it clear that the matter is far from over, stressing that the case is expected to proceed to court despite the developments so far.

In contrast, Fire Oja has publicly rejected claims that he was arrested or detained. In a social media post, he dismissed the reports and said he was relaxing at home, suggesting that the narrative being shared by Mzbel does not align with his version of events.

Adepa’s Father Is A Pastor, Not Castro – Mzbel Clarifies

0

Mzbel has again addressed persistent speculation surrounding the paternity of her son, Adepa, widely known as Okomfo Black.

She gave fresh clarity during a recent interview with ZionFelix.

The Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur, known in private life as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, said the long-running claims linking her late colleague Castro to her son were entirely false and had no factual basis.

She stressed that Castro was not Adepa’s biological father, adding that the truth behind her son’s parentage was far more complicated than many assumed.

According to Mzbel, revealing the real identity of her son’s father would ignite widespread controversy that would linger for years. She explained that the situation was particularly sensitive because the man involved was a pastor, a detail she said would shock many and fuel endless public debate.

She further described the man as someone widely regarded as a man of God, reiterating that this alone should make it clear that Castro could not have been her child’s father.

Mzbel also reflected on her past relationship with the late musician, explaining that their friendship and professional bond eventually fell apart after Castro began associating closely with high-profile footballers, including Asamoah Gyan. She suggested that this shift created distance between them and marked the end of what had once been a strong connection.

Despite repeatedly addressing the issue over the years, Mzbel expressed frustration that many Ghanaians continue to link Castro to her son. She questioned why the rumours persisted when she had consistently denied them in public.

She added that she knew Castro’s family well and maintained that if he had truly been Adepa’s father, she would never have prevented him or his relatives from having access to the child. For her, that fact alone should have put the speculation to rest long ago.

Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy, has revealed a lesser-known side of his entrepreneurial journey, disclosing that he co-owns and operates a rice company in Ghana with his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla.

The agribusiness venture, known as LILO Rice, derives its name from a combination of the first two letters of the couple’s names—Livingstone and Louisa—highlighting the family-oriented and personal nature of the brand.

Although the company has been operating quietly for some time, it gained public attention through social media promotions, particularly in 2022, when Stonebwoy showcased LILO Long Grain Perfume Rice.

At the time, the multiple award-winning musician described the product as “homegrown and packaged right here in Ghana,” stressing its freshness, quality, and traceability “from the farm to your plate.”

The promotional campaign featured Stonebwoy’s wife and daughter in a light-hearted commercial, reinforcing the brand’s family-friendly image and local appeal.

Stonebwoy’s entry into agribusiness adds to his expanding portfolio beyond music. Over the years, the Afro-dancehall and reggae star has diversified into fashion, philanthropy, and social impact initiatives, using his influence to support local industries and community development.

In a recent demonstration of social responsibility, Stonebwoy’s Livingstone Foundation included packs of LILO Rice in care packages donated to a talented autistic child. The package also contained bottled water and personal care items, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to inclusion and support for vulnerable groups.

Arnold Asamoah Baidoo Recounts Arrest During MenzGold Crisis

0

Veteran entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has given a detailed account of events that led to his arrest and overnight detention alongside musician manager Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, during the height of the MenzGold crisis.

Speaking on the YouTube show Gentlemen and Gentlemen, Baidoo explained that actions taken by the management of Zylophone Media to safeguard company assets were later misconstrued as theft by authorities.

According to Baidoo, the collapse of MenzGold created a volatile environment at Zylophone Media, with angry customers and alleged looters storming the company’s offices.

“At that time, NAM1 was nowhere to be found, workers were not being paid, including security, so we had no protection,” he said.

Baidoo, who served as Communications Manager of Zylophone Media at the time, revealed that management took a collective decision to move valuable items from individual artiste offices to a more secure location.

“The agreement was that since we had no security, we should take essential items like air conditioners, televisions and fridges to the main office across the street, where there was protection,” he explained.

However, Baidoo said the situation took a dramatic turn when the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) later issued a directive for all Zylophone Media properties to be surrendered.

According to him, the earlier movement of items was wrongly interpreted as an attempt to steal company property.

“We were not stealing anything. We were custodians of the label and were protecting the property,” he stressed.

Baidoo disclosed that he and Bulldog were subsequently arrested by a joint team of EOCO officials and police officers and detained overnight.

“We were ordered to remove our clothes and put into separate cells. We spent the night there,” he recounted.

He added that the following day, both men were handcuffed and transported to EOCO headquarters, where they were interrogated by senior officials.

“The EOCO CEO directly accused us of stealing air conditioners. I had to calmly explain the entire situation and that we were actually protecting the assets,” Baidoo said.

After providing clarification, Baidoo noted that both he and Bulldog were released without any charges.

Kwesi Arthur is my favourite Ghanaian rapper of all time – Fella Makafui reveals

0

Ghanaian actress and beauty entrepreneur Fella Makafui has set social media abuzz after publicly naming her favourite rapper in Ghana, a move that has generated widespread debate among fans and music lovers.

The 30-year-old YOLO star, who was previously married to award-winning rapper Medikal (real name Samuel Adu Frimpong), made the revelation in a viral social media post that quickly caught the attention of the online community.

In her post, Fella Makafui heaped praise on Kwesi Arthur, describing him as her top rapper in Ghana. This statement placed the Tema-based musician above industry heavyweights, including her ex-husband Medikal and BET Award-winning rapper Sarkodie.

The comment has since drawn even more attention due to its timing, coming just two days after Medikal was spotted cooking breakfast for singer Eazzy, a moment that many fans interpreted as the rapper ushering in the new year with new romantic relationship goals.

While Fella did not directly reference her ex-husband in her post, the comparison sparked mixed reactions, with some netizens reading deeper meanings into her statement.

Several social media users have interpreted Fella Makafui’s comment as an acknowledgment of Kwesi Arthur’s consistency, lyrical depth, and influence within Ghana’s rap scene. Others, however, questioned why she would make such a public comparison given her history with Medikal.

Kwesi Arthur, who rose to prominence with his hit single “Grind Day,” has over the years built a solid reputation through critically acclaimed projects, collaborations with international artists, and strong representation of Ghana on global music platforms.
