King Paluta Responds To London Controversy, Hints At Possible Apology (Video)

0

Following the heavy criticism targeted at him after a verbal attack on a woman during an event in London some months ago, King Paluta has broken his silence.

In an exclusive interview with ZionFelix, the Ghanaian artiste opened up about the situation, describing it as deeply troubling and emotionally draining. He said people who truly know him have struggled to reconcile the accusations with his character, a contradiction he believes should raise questions about the narrative being pushed.

Paluta suggested that the backlash did not emerge in isolation. He linked the growing criticism to events surrounding the last general election, explaining that some individuals began targeting him after claims surfaced that he had taken money to campaign for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. According to him, that allegation triggered a wave of hostility aimed at damaging his reputation.

He stated that the attacks have taken on a life of their own online, with social media users circulating his image alongside emotional music and captions suggesting he had lost his humility. To him, the pattern feels deliberate rather than organic.

The musician acknowledged that he has considered apologising to the woman involved in the London incident, although he did not clarify what would determine such a decision.

Addressing criticism over his involvement in political campaigning, Paluta defended his actions, insisting he did nothing out of the ordinary. He explained that his participation was based on an invitation from the New Patriotic Party and not personal political alignment. In his view, artists often perform at events across party lines, adding that he has done so for different political groups in the past.

The controversy has since sparked widespread discussion online, with opinions sharply divided. While some have criticised him, others have expressed support, saying the backlash appears excessive.

King Paluta said several colleagues have reached out privately to check on him, noting that they know his character and find the accusations difficult to believe. He described the entire episode as painful and confusing, adding that it felt like an intentional attempt to bring him down.

Ghanaian artiste Kelvyn Boy is recovering from a road-related incident that resulted in a fractured ankle, an experience he says could have ended far worse.

He revealed the incident through a social media post from a medical facility, where he was seen seated in a wheelchair with his injured leg heavily bandaged. One of the images also showed a CT scan highlighting the damage to his ankle as hospital staff attended to him.

Providing details of what happened, Kelvyn Boy said the accident occurred behind the Centre Point Mall near Atomic Junction. He explained that a vehicle lost control while reversing and veered toward him as he stood on the sidewalk.

According to the singer, the swift response of two close friends prevented the situation from becoming fatal, although he was not spared injury.

“A few days ago, God saved me from what would have been the most tragic news all year for me and my people. A driver reversing lost control, heading for me at the sidewalk of the very back of Center Point Mall. God saved me through two of my guys who saw it fast and reacted quickly enough, but the accident left me with a fractured ankle. Give thanks for life still,” he wrote.

The injury has forced Kelvyn Boy to miss several scheduled appearances, prompting an apology to event organisers and fans. He encouraged promoters to work with his management team to secure new dates for the affected shows.

Despite the setback, the singer expressed determination to return to the stage as soon as possible and fulfil his remaining commitments before the year ends, even if his recovery requires extra support.

“To promoters whose shows I have missed, my sincerest apologies to you and, most importantly, the fans. Kindly coordinate with management to fix new dates. And to the few ones ahead before the end of the year, I am racing against time. I will be there, with crutches, if need be, to rave. Nothing’s going to stop us now. Stay safe and always be thankful for life,” the ‘Break It’ singer further stated.

John Kumah’s Brother Criticises Widow Over Remarriage

0

Tensions have flared within the family of the late Ejisu Member of Parliament, John Kumah, following reports that his widow, Apostle Lillian Owusu, has remarried barely a year and a half after his death.

News of the marriage broke on December 19, 2025, after images and videos surfaced online showing Apostle Lillian Owusu tying the knot with Samuel Aryeetey at a wedding ceremony held in Obuasi, in the Ashanti Region.

The development quickly went viral, igniting heated debate on social media over the timing and cultural implications of her remarriage.

John Kumah, a former Deputy Minister of Finance, passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 45 after a brief illness.

Widely regarded as a rising star in Ghanaian politics, he was believed to have had the potential for a future presidential bid before his untimely death.

Amid the public debate, John Kumah’s family has now broken its silence. In a video sighted on the TikTok page Koforidua Flowers, the late MP’s brother openly criticised Apostle Lillian Owusu for remarrying what he described as “too soon” after his brother’s death.

According to him, the timeline of events surrounding her new marriage has raised suspicions within the family.

He alleged that the widow may have been involved with her new husband while John Kumah was still alive, a claim that remains unproven and reflects his personal opinion.

The late MP’s brother further explained that John Kumah’s funeral was held in May 2024, and by June 2024, Apostle Lillian Owusu officially entered the one-year widowhood period traditionally observed in their culture.

Based on this timeline, he argued that her remarriage came shortly after the completion of the culturally mandated mourning period, a move he believes lacked sensitivity.

He also expressed disappointment that the widow for failing to formally inform John Kumah’s family of her intention to remarry.

In his remarks, the brother lamented that John Kumah had invested heavily in his wife and children during his lifetime.

He claimed the late MP spent a significant portion of his resources supporting Apostle Lillian Owusu’s ministry, including the construction of a modern church auditorium, among other expenses.

According to him, the family expected a higher level of courtesy and communication from the widow before she made the decision to remarry.

TikTok Preacher Claims Vision About Daddy Lumba One Week After Burial, Sparks Debate

0

A Ghanaian preacher identified as Apostle Bright has ignited intense public debate after sharing what he describes as a spiritual vision involving the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, barely a week after the musician’s burial.

Daddy Lumba was laid to rest on December 13, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, in a funeral ceremony attended by thousands of fans, family members, and industry players.

While preaching in a sermon shared on TikTok, Apostle Bright claimed that God revealed to him the spiritual condition of the late musician through a vision.

According to the preacher, the vision occurred while he was asleep.

He alleged that Daddy Lumba appeared dressed in dark clothing, with his head bowed and looking deeply troubled. Apostle Bright further claimed that the musician’s eyes were red, which he interpreted as a sign that the late legend had been crying for a long time. He added that Daddy Lumba’s clothes appeared damp, suggesting intense emotional distress.

Apostle Bright explained that the vision carried what he described as a strong warning about heaven, hell, and judgment after death.

He cautioned against teachings that suggest there is no divine judgment after death, describing such beliefs as misleading.

In a controversial extension of his message, the preacher warned that people who continue to listen to Daddy Lumba’s secular songs may be putting themselves at spiritual risk.

He urged the public to prioritise gospel music, which he described as safer for the soul.

The claims have generated mixed reactions on social media. Some users expressed fear and called for self-reflection, saying the message should prompt people to examine their spiritual lives.

Others, however, strongly questioned the legitimacy of the vision, warning the public against accepting spiritual claims at face value. Critics argued that such messages could unfairly tarnish the legacy of the late musician and cause unnecessary fear among fans.

Sarkodie Opens Up On How Shatta Wale Is Pushing Him To Sing

0

Sarkodie has opened up about the quiet influence pushing him beyond bars and into melody, naming dancehall artiste Shatta Wale as a key voice encouraging him to sing more on his records, even though he remains cautious about fully embracing that side of his artistry.

During an interview with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, the popular Ghanaian rapper disclosed that he has recorded several unreleased tracks that lean entirely on melody rather than rap.

He explained that Shatta Wale has repeatedly urged him to explore that sound without hesitation.

“One person who pushes me to do more [singing] is Shatta Wale. When I did this one I sent it to him. Not only that there are about three of such songs I have recorded; one I sang throughout. But I was very uncomfortable with it because I will write it but putting it out is difficult for me to do. And that he said no, this is the next phase you should do,” Sarkodie said.

Although widely celebrated for his lyrical precision and dominance as a rapper, Sarkodie has occasionally blended singing and melodic flows into his music. His global recognition, including appearances and accolades at platforms such as the BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards, has already positioned him as one of Ghana’s most versatile music exports.

Still, listeners are yet to experience a complete project built entirely around his singing voice. Such a move, if it happens, could mark a new chapter in his career, broadening his appeal and drawing in audiences who connect more with melody-driven music.

The artistic exchange between Sarkodie and Shatta Wale reflects the improved rapport between the two stars. Since putting past differences behind them, both artistes have publicly acknowledged each other’s talent and influence, reinforcing a relationship that now appears rooted in mutual respect rather than rivalry.

Sarkodie Recalls Awkward U.S. Stage Moment After Unknowingly Eating “Wee Biscuit”

What was meant to be a routine trip to the United States for a live performance turned into an unforgettable and uncomfortable moment for popular Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, who has now shared the story to the amusement of fans.

The rapper opened up on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, where he told hosts Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie about a show he considers his most unsettling on stage. According to him, the problem began long before he picked up the microphone, after he unknowingly ate a marijuana-infused biscuit.

Sarkodie explained that he and his manager, Angel Town, were given a hospitality hamper at the hotel where they were staying. Inside were drinks and snacks, including biscuits that seemed harmless at the time. Hungry and unaware of their contents, he helped himself.

“I got to my hotel they had a hamper for me. And I had no idea what the hamper was. It has drinks, biscuits and everything. I took bites of the biscuits when I was hungry not knowing it had marijuana, and I have not taken marijuana before. Angel finished his and came for more from me,” he said.

Not long after, he noticed his manager laughing uncontrollably at things that made no sense, before he too began feeling unusually off. The situation became more concerning when he found himself confused backstage, even asking his team to explain the distance between where he was seated and the actual stage.

By the time he stepped out to perform, Sarkodie said his perception was completely distorted. The tempo of the music felt painfully slow to him, creating the impression that the performance was falling apart, despite the crowd responding positively.

“That’s the worst performance I’ve ever had. Because in my head all the songs sounded slow,” he divulged.

Reflecting on the experience, Sarkodie said it reminded him that artistes can sometimes give audiences a great show even when, internally, they feel far from satisfied with their performance.

Sarkodie is currently preparing for his annual Rapperholic concert, which is slated for December 25, 2025, at the Grand Arena.

Renowned Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has appealed to the public to show respect to her ex-husband following the end of their marriage.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based TV3, McBrown addressed public perceptions surrounding her former spouse, stressing that he is no longer married and should be treated accordingly.

“I don’t want people to disrespect him,” she said. “Sometimes when he is chilling, people say, ‘He is somebody’s husband, go home.’ No, he’s not somebody’s husband.”

According to the celebrated actress, such comments are unfair and unnecessary, especially given the mutual understanding that led to their separation.

Business mogul and Engineers & Planners boss Ibrahim Mahama has caught public attention after a video surfaced showing him performing high-speed spins in a red Mercedes-Benz, displaying impressive driving skills and youthful energy.

Although the exact location of the stunt was not clearly disclosed, it is believed to have taken place at his private residence.

In the video, the renowned car enthusiast is seen spinning the luxury vehicle in circles, a move that quickly drew admiration and excitement from automobile lovers online.

Sharing the moment on Instagram, the brother of the President explained that the display was done in anticipation of a major supercar spectacle organised by his son, Ibrahim Mahama Jr., alongside Arnold Agblosu and Jaiden Osei.

The much-anticipated automotive event was officially launched at the Accra Polo Club in late 2025, with the main show held on December 21, 2025, at the Borteyman Sports Complex.

Faustina Fosuh Calls Out Abusuapanin Over Rushed Arrangements for Daddy Lumba’s Burial

Faustina Fosu, a sister of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has sparked fresh online debate after making comments perceived as a jab at the family head, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, over the handling of the musician’s funeral arrangements.

Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60 after a short illness. Reports indicate that the Aben Wo Ha hitmaker fell ill at his East Legon residence and was rushed to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, where he later died.

Following his death, a bitter family feud erupted, centring on disagreements over who should be officially recognised as his wife and how his funeral should be organised. The dispute eventually split the family into two opposing factions.

One side was led by Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa, and his elder sister, Ernestina Fosu, also known as Akosua Brempomaa. The other faction was led by his second wife, Odo Broni, alongside the family head, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu.

The disagreement also caused a rift between Daddy Lumba’s only two sisters, after Faustina Fosu chose to align with Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu and Odo Broni, a decision that deepened the family divide.

At the height of the feud, members of Daddy Lumba’s immediate family strongly pushed for the funeral to be held in March 2026, arguing that more time was needed for an autopsy to determine the musician’s true cause of death. Their request, however, was rejected by the family head.

Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu subsequently fixed the funeral for December 13, 2025, at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, a move that triggered a legal battle and intensified public scrutiny.

In a YouTube video shared by GH Facts Online, Faustina Fosu described the funeral arrangements as too rushed, revealing that she had privately raised concerns about the speed of the preparations.

According to her, her objections were ignored, a remark many viewers interpreted as a subtle dig at the family head. Though she did not explicitly mention names, her comments have reignited conversations about the internal tensions that plagued the family following Daddy Lumba’s death.
