The Ghanaian artiste claimed the platform’s top honours, solidifying his position as one of the country’s most influential musical exports.

Spotify’s year-end summary placed him at the pinnacle of both the Top Artist of the Year and Most Streamed Artist of the Year lists. His 2024 project, Iron Boy, continued to energise fans, earning the title of Most Streamed Album of the Year, while its standout track, “Sacrifice,” became the Most Streamed Song.

His dominance extended across the charts, with nine of his songs appearing in Spotify’s Top 10 Most Streamed Songs, a feat rarely achieved even by leading African artists.

Akwasi Boateng Reveals How Financial Setback, Not Cheating, Ended His Marriage

0

Ghanaian gospel artiste, Evangelist Edward Akwasi Boateng, has opened up about what contributed to the collapse of his marriage.

He traced the turning point in his relationship to a cheating incident that happened two decades ago during an interview with Akoma FM.

The gospel singer explained that although the infidelity occurred during a period of financial comfort, his wife chose to remain with him. At the time, he frequently travelled abroad and the couple welcomed three children.

“My wife didn’t divorce me when I cheated on her during the time I was financially stable. Back then, I used to travel abroad, so she stayed with me and even gave birth to three children. My kids are now 20, 16, and 14 years old,” he disclosed.

According to him, the past was revived only after he suffered major financial setbacks. “But she started complaining about the cheating that happened 20 years ago, at the time when I had lost all my money. She made it look like the cheating happened recently. Because of that, she even left the house and stayed somewhere else for six months until I went to plead with her to come back,” he said.

Akwasi Boateng added that the reconciliation was short-lived. Once his wife gained financial independence, the situation deteriorated again.

“So when she came back, she became financially stable and bought a car and even built a house. That was when things became worse. She said she couldn’t be with me anymore and that even if the Pope begged her, she wouldn’t listen. So we have been divorced for the past six years,” he stated.

Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the first daughter of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has finally arrived in Ghana and has spoken publicly about the December 13, 2025 date for her father’s burial and final funeral rites.

Her address comes at a time when musician-turned-evangelist Papa Shee has been suggesting that many of Daddy Lumba’s children living abroad are not ready for the funeral because some are reportedly writing exams while others allegedly have expired passports.

Despite the claims of Papa Shee, Denise finally arrived in Ghana on Monday December, 2025, and confirmed that the rites will be organized on the December 13, 2025, date which has been much publicised.

In a video recorded at the late musician’s East Legon residence shortly after her arrival on November 30, 2025, she was seen in mourning cloth and seated beside an elderly man, with two children of Daddy Lumba’s second wife, Odo Broni, standing behind her.

In her address, she said:

“Hello, my name is Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the eldest daughter of the late Charles Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba. I’m here, representing my entire family today. We’d like to kindly invite you to my father’s funeral which will take place on the 13th December in Kumasi. We wish all well-wishers and mourners to join us to celebrate his life.”

The final funeral rites of the music icon, legally known as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, was recently rescheduled from the earlier announced December 6 date. The change followed a meeting at the Otumfuo Saamanhene Palace on November 10, 2025, where a newly formed committee chaired by Dadiesoabahene was tasked with handling all arrangements.

During the same meeting, Daddy Lumba’s sister, Ernestina Akosua Brempomaa, raised concerns about possible foul play in her brother’s death and requested that a postmortem be conducted. She also appealed for the burial to be delayed until the results confirm the actual cause of death.

Prophet Prince Osei Reveals Why His Marriage To Empress Gifty Fell Apart

Prophet Prince Osei talked about the collapse of his marriage to gospel singer Empress Gifty.

Speaking in a video posted on Instagram, the prophet said the relationship unraveled largely because they struggled to communicate.

He explained that their union deteriorated sharply, and looking back, he believes stronger communication skills might have changed the outcome. Osei said he learned after the divorce that prayer, on its own, is not enough to sustain a marriage, which is why he has since devoted time to improving how he expresses himself.

“Prayer alone cannot sustain a marriage because there are a lot of factors involved. Also, what I have learned so far about marriage is that good communication is crucial.

“Faithfulness alone cannot sustain a marriage. Even if you want to have an affair with your wife, it all boils down to communication,” he said.

The prophet also revisited the early days of their relationship, recalling the moment he met her when she was still working as a seamstress.

“When I met her, she was a designer at Tema Community 1. When I saw her, I knew music would open a lot of opportunities for her because she had a good voice.

“Her brother introduced her to me. She wasn’t even a church member, but her brother pushed her to my church,” Prophet Prince Osei stated.

“You Can Find Someone, But Not Love” – Olivetheboy Argues

0

Young Ghanaian music star, Olivetheboy, has publicly pulled back the curtain on his private life, revealing that his relationship with love is far more complicated and less fairy-tale than his fans might assume.

In a reflective interview on Hitz FM, the “Goodsin” hitmaker confessed that his image as a “loverboy” doesn’t match his reality.

The rising global sensation shared a pragmatic and somewhat pessimistic view on romance, suggesting that true, enduring love is a rarity in the modern age.

“I don’t think anyone can find love. You can find someone, but not love… especially for people like me,” he stated, emphasizing the difficulty he faces in finding genuine connection.

Olivetheboy explained that the deep emotionality that permeates his music is rooted in experiences from his past, not his current relationship status.

His current life as a globally recognized artist appears to complicate the possibility of a stable, public romance.

“Most of the love songs I write are not from present time. From ‘Bend’ to ‘Speedometer’ and the rest, they’re old experiences,” he noted.

Suggesting his discography serves as an archive of past emotions rather than a soundtrack for his current dating life.

For the time being, Olivetheboy confirmed he hasn’t found anyone special. When he eventually does, he intends to keep the relationship strictly private, shielding his personal life from the “noise and expectations” that inevitably accompany fame.

His choice to guard his relationships aligns with a trend among high-profile celebrities seeking to protect their private lives from media scrutiny, which can often distort or pressure romantic partnerships.

Portia Asare Reveals She Was Homeless, Slept In Hotels With Newborn For Three Months

Popular Kumawood actress and screen siren, Portia Asare, has shared a deeply personal and emotional story about the hardships she faced during the early stages of motherhood.

In a touching video shared on her Instagram on November 30, 2025, the actress disclosed that she was left without a home shortly after childbirth.

Holding back tears, Portia Asare recounted the intense challenges she navigated as a new mother.

She boldly revealed that after being discharged from the hospital, she had no roof over her head and was forced to sleep in hotels with her newborn child for an extended period.

“There were times I had to sleep with my children in hotels, and I didn’t want anybody to know. I had to hide myself in places where nobody would notice,” she emotionally stated.

The actress explained the immense difficulty of having to move from one hotel room to another for three months, carrying all the necessary postnatal items she needed to heal quickly, along with her newborn’s basic necessities, all while breastfeeding.

“Imagine giving birth to a baby who is breastfeeding, and I had to sleep in hotels for three months. During this period, I was moving from one hotel room to another.”

Portia Asare noted that she never imagined she would share this difficult chapter of her life.

She was motivated by a desire to encourage her fans, particularly women, who may be facing similar silent battles.

The style influencer urged her followers to have faith in God and believe that their challenges are temporary and that there is “light at the end of the tunnel.”

“I never imagined that a time would come when I would share this to encourage people that whatever they are going through, they are not the only ones facing such challenges, as others are also experiencing similar difficulties. …There will be a day and a time when you will smile at the storm and say that this far we have come by grace,” she concluded.

Ex-Convict-Turned-Preacher Shares Update On Nana Agradaa’s Life Behind Bars

0

Former inmate and now preacher, Richard Nyarko, has offered fresh insight into the condition of embattled televangelist Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, widely known as Nana Agradaa, following her imprisonment earlier this year.

Nyarko, who spent nearly two decades behind bars before turning his life around, revealed that Agradaa is “doing well” in prison despite the circumstances surrounding her incarceration.

Speaking from experience, he explained that adapting to prison life can be challenging, but the popular evangelist appears to be coping steadily.

Nana Agradaa, founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Church, has been serving a 15-year jail term since July 3, 2025.

She was sentenced by Her Honour Evelyn E. Asamoah of the Accra Circuit Court after being found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences.

The conviction stemmed from a 2022 televised broadcast in which Agradaa, who previously operated as a traditional priestess, claimed she possessed the spiritual ability to “double money.”

Several victims reported that they handed over large sums of cash following her assurances of receiving multiplied returns—returns that never materialised.

The court ruled that her actions constituted deliberate deception, leading to significant financial loss among her followers.

Following her conviction, Agradaa was immediately escorted to begin her sentence at a state correctional facility.

Despite her incarceration, she has continued to appear in court over a separate ongoing case involving one Appiah Biblical.

According to Nyarko, whose own transformation from ex-convict to preacher has inspired many, prison life tends to reshape individuals, and Agradaa’s current state suggests she is managing the environment and its demands.
