Ghanaian Gospel singer, Selina Boateng, has cautioned women against staying in relationships that are driven mainly by physical pleasure, warning that such unions rarely stand the test of time.

Speaking on Hitz FM, she stressed that sexual satisfaction should not be mistaken for love. “If you get a guy and you love him so much because of the sex, it is not love. If you are thinking that because he satisfies you, you won’t let him go, you are wrong,” she explained.

Boateng noted that when intimacy becomes the foundation of a relationship, it often leads to constant doubts and insecurity.

“You will always be thinking that he is cheating on you or dating other girls, and you will not be able to rest. So it is best to let the man go,” she added.

Her counsel reinforces earlier advice she has given to the youth, urging them to carefully study their partners before making lifelong commitments and to avoid giving in to outside pressures when it comes to relationships.
