Lilwin Insists His Movie Soundtracks Still Stand Above All Others

0

Kwadwo Nkansah, well known as Lilwin, has looked back at the period that helped cement his name in Kumawood, and he credits movie soundtracks as a major driver of that success.

In an interview with ZionFelix, the actor made a bold claim about his impact, maintaining that no film soundtrack in Ghana has reached the kind of popularity attached to songs from the movies he featured in.

He highlighted tracks such as “Metanfo” and “Big Boy Weezy,” explaining that their widespread appeal was tied to his presence in those productions. Over time, he said, the songs became inseparable from his brand, often drawing the loudest reactions whenever he performs them.

He argued that films he was involved in produced some of the most successful soundtracks in the country, listing titles like “Metanfo,” “Big Boy Weezy,” and “Azonto Ghost” as examples. In his view, the level of recognition those songs achieved remains unmatched, with audiences across different age groups able to sing along with ease.

Lilwin also linked that era to the emergence of other acts, pointing to Bisa Kdei as someone whose musical journey coincided with the rise of movie soundtracks. He suggested that the timing played a role in shaping the singer’s career.

Beyond that, he expressed the belief that Bisa Kdei’s decision to step away from soundtrack work did not serve the industry well. According to Lilwin, staying active in that space could have further strengthened the connection between Ghana’s film and music sectors.

Reflecting on how their paths crossed, he recounted that his growing popularity as an actor overlapped with Bisa Kdei’s rise. During the production of “Azonto Ghost,” he initially performed to a Gasmilla track, but high costs pushed producers to seek an alternative, which ultimately brought Bisa Kdei into the project.

He maintained that Bisa Kdei’s withdrawal from soundtrack production came at a time when demand for his work was high, arguing that focusing on major film collaborations instead of stepping away entirely would have been a better move.

Fameye recounts how his friend made him sleep at a train station in France

It’s easy to look at the glitz of a successful music career and forget the grit it took to get there.

For Ghanaian Highlife sensation Fameye, a recent interview on Onua Show Time served as a vulnerable reminder that even the biggest stars have faced moments of total isolation.

Speaking on April 14, 2026, the “Nothing I Get” hitmaker revealed the harrowing inspiration behind his latest single, “Traveller.”

The song isn’t just a melody; it’s a sonic document of the “abroad struggle” that many West Africans face but few talk about openly.

Fameye recounted a particularly stinging memory from his first trip to Europe. Like many embarking on their first international journey, he relied on the word of a friend.

This individual had promised to meet him at the airport and provide a place to stay, boasting of a spacious home with plenty of room.

The reality, however, was a cold wake-up call; Upon landing, the “friend” stopped answering calls entirely.

With no backup plan and nowhere to go, Fameye found himself homeless in a foreign land.

He spent the night sleeping at a train station in France, an experience he says sparked a profound, painful longing for the safety of Ghana.

“I was stranded… That moment made me miss Ghana,” he shared, reflecting on the isolation of being in a country where the language and the streets felt equally unwelcoming.

VIDEO: Prince Tagoe levels deep & serious allegations against Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale

Former Black Stars forward Prince Tagoe has stirred fresh controversy in Ghana’s entertainment space after making a series of claims against dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session on April 15, 2026, Tagoe expressed concern over a lyric in Stonebwoy’s song Deeper, particularly the line: “My property no go lock for EOCO.”

According to the former international, he found the statement inappropriate, suggesting it could be interpreted as an indirect jab at fellow artiste Shatta Wale. This follows past reports that Shatta Wale’s vehicle had been seized by authorities over alleged links to proceeds of crime.

Tagoe described the lyric as “below the belt,” emphasizing that public figures should avoid statements that could be perceived as mocking others, especially in sensitive situations.

Beyond the lyric, Tagoe alleged deeper tensions within Stonebwoy’s BHIM Nation camp. He claimed that during his association with the group, he observed what he described as a culture of hostility toward Shatta Wale.

According to him, individuals within the camp were discouraged from openly enjoying Shatta Wale’s music, with fears of being sidelined if they did so.

“From day one, it felt like pure hatred,” Tagoe alleged. “If someone around that brand played Shatta Wale’s song, they risked being cut off.”

Tagoe contrasted this with what he described as Shatta Wale’s more relaxed approach. He recounted a personal experience where the SM boss visited his home while Stonebwoy’s music was playing.

“Shatta Wale came to my house, heard Stonebwoy’s songs, and was even singing along. He didn’t ask me to turn it off,” he said.

The former footballer concluded by urging artistes to embrace unity and mutual respect, stressing that music should remain a source of entertainment rather than division.

RNAQ shares new photos of himself ‘chilling’ inside his private jet amidst divorce settlement brouhaha with his ex wife

0

Ghanaian businessman, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has triggered a fresh public debate after sharing new photos of himself for the first time since his widely discussed divorce ruling.

On January 20, 2026, the Accra High Court delivered its judgment in the divorce case between Quaye, popularly known as RNAQ, and his ex-wife, Joana Quaye.

The court awarded Joana Quaye a lump sum of GH₵300,000, a one-third share of their matrimonial home at Dansoman, two Jaguar FX vehicles, and GH₵5,000 monthly upkeep for their three children.

The decision drew widespread criticism, particularly as Joana had reportedly sought GH₵50 million in compensation after 16 years of marriage, during which she is said to have co-founded the business that contributed to Quaye’s wealth.

The ruling quickly sparked outrage across social media, with many users questioning the fairness of the settlement. Joana Quaye’s legal team subsequently filed an appeal, arguing that the judgment did not adequately reflect her contributions to the marriage and shared assets.

Amid the ongoing controversy, Richard Nii Armah Quaye posted new images of himself aboard a private jet, appearing relaxed and focused on business activities.

Dressed in a blue shirt, navy blue trousers, and designer glasses, the businessman captioned the photos: “On the move. Closing business deals.”

Baba Sadiq Reveals The Real Story Behind 3Music Networks

0

Ghanaian politician and entertainment executive Sadiq Abdulai Abu has offered a candid look into the early days of building 3Music Networks, pushing back against the idea that significant capital is a prerequisite for launching media ventures.

His comments came in response to a post by media personality Kafui Dey, who argued that starting a podcast does not require heavy upfront investment.

Recounting his own experience, Baba Sadiq said the platform began with minimal resources, relying on a laptop, his mother’s Kia Sportage, and creative input from close collaborators. Formal registration, he noted, only came later, when the business was already generating revenue through its first advertising cheque. From there, the company grew steadily until it secured investment five years in to expand operations.

In a visit that signaled both endorsement and expectation, Dr Likee and members of his team met with Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, alongside her deputy, Abeiku Santana. The delegation used the meeting to formally brief the Authority on their upcoming London showcase and extend an invitation to the leadership.

Beyond the usual courtesies, the conversation took on a broader cultural tone. Houadjeto urged the team to weave in themes around reparations, an issue Ghana has been actively promoting on the global stage under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama. The suggestion reflects a growing push to use entertainment as a vehicle for national storytelling and historical reflection.

Lilwin Claims “Alkayida” Outshines Guru’s Hits, Says It Defined His Career

Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, is revisiting his past collaborations with Guru and making a bold claim about their impact.

In an interview with ZionFelix, the filmmaker and artiste argued that “Alkayida,” the track he recorded with Guru, stands as the most significant song in the rapper’s catalogue. He pointed out that the record still sparks strong reactions whenever it is played, years after its release.

While he admitted that Guru’s “Lapaz Toyota” enjoyed massive popularity, Lilwin maintained that it falls short of the reach and influence of “Alkayida,” which he believes gave Guru a major boost at a crucial point in his career.

Lilwin described “Go Lilwin,” another collaboration between them, as a defining moment, explaining that the song stood out above the rest and continues to command attention each time it comes on. In his assessment, it surpasses Guru’s other hits in both energy and reception.

He went on to recount how their working relationship continued after the success of “Alkayida,” leading to another project titled “Tie Tie Break.” According to him, the initial version included his former manager Zack, but that contribution did not make it into the final release.

Lilwin said he never found out why Zack’s part was removed, noting that he did not have a close working relationship with Guru at the time. He explained that once recordings or performances were done, they each went their separate ways, with little communication afterward.

He also revealed that in those early days, he often performed alongside Guru without charging a fee, adding that the lack of a direct connection made it difficult for him to question decisions about their joint work, including what happened to the original version of “Tie Tie Break.”

I Will Never Allow Outsiders To Take Over – Daddy Lumba’s Sister Declares

Tensions around the estate of late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba have sharpened, with his elder sister taking a hard stance against any outside involvement in his properties.

Ernestina Fosu has made it clear she will oppose any move by individuals outside the immediate family to stake a claim. In a video shared online, she argued that the singer’s success was built on the backing of his siblings rather than support from outsiders.

She also reflected on the early and difficult phases of his career, insisting that it was family members who remained constant in his corner. In her view, that loyalty should naturally extend to how his estate is handled.

Ernestina further stressed that inheritance should be limited to those closest to the late musician, pointing specifically to his wives and children while dismissing claims from distant relatives or unrelated persons.

“I will never allow outsiders to take over my brother’s properties. Our mother gave birth to three of us, and no one helped Lumba except his siblings. We supported each other, so I won’t allow any outsider to take what belongs to him. If my brother is no more, he has wives and children who should inherit from him, so I won’t allow anyone else to come in and take it,” she said.

Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60, ending a career that spanned more than thirty years and produced over 30 albums, firmly establishing him as one of Ghana’s most influential Highlife artists.

He was buried on December 13, 2025, at the Baba Yara Stadium following the dismissal of a court injunction that had briefly threatened to halt the funeral proceedings.

“I’ve Been Single for 7 Years” – Louisa Adinkra Shares Divorce Story

0

Ghanaian actress Louisa Adinkra has reflected on the collapse of her marriage. She described it as a painful chapter she sensed might not stand the test of time.

In a recent discussion with Emelia Brobbey on Adom TV, she revealed she has spent the last seven years on her own following the end of the union.

“I’m no longer married. I’ve been single for about seven years now,” Louisa disclosed.

Sharing what the experience has taught her, the actress stressed the need for vigilance when it comes to personal relationships, especially those allowed into one’s inner circle.

“You need to be scared and cautious about people. The scary part is, the ones you bring closer are the ones who would hurt you the most,” she stated.

According to her, the breakdown of the marriage was not caused by a single issue, but one situation stood out above the rest. She pointed to the influence of someone she once trusted deeply, who later became a key factor in the relationship’s downfall.

“My marriage ended in so many angles. There was one particular person who was very close to me. She was part of my husband’s family. When I brought her to stay with me, a lot of people were against it. I didn’t know what I saw in her but I liked her so much. She played a major role in my marriage not working,” she indicated.

She admitted that her former husband had repeatedly cautioned her about the people around her, advice she did not fully take seriously at the time.

“My ex-husband used to warn me to be careful of my friends, but when I check around, I don’t see any friend who’s that close to me,” she explained.

In reflection, she now believes there were warning signs long before the marriage itself, but her feelings at the time clouded her judgment.

“I had always known my marriage would collapse. During our dating moments, whenever I was going to my ex-husband’s house, people asked me if I could cope. That should have been a signal to me, but I didn’t pay attention, and I was in love,” she divulged.

Louisa Adinkra said the marriage lasted nearly nine years, and in hindsight, she questions whether those years could have been spent differently.

“I was married for close to nine years. Looking at my age now and the number of years I was married, I feel I’ve wasted my time,” she stated.
