BBnZ Live label mates, Shaker and Ko-Jo Cue have announced their first ever collaborative album titled “Pen & Paper”.

This was made known at a press soiree held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at BBnZ Live new office located at Nima Police Station in Accra.

According to the duo, the upcoming album is a complete Hip-hop project and would take every listener ‘back to the basics’.

Addressing the press, Shaker and Kojo said: “We took it back to the basics with this project and made it all about the art”.

Just like any other project, they faced little issues and that has to do with cutting down the number of tracks from 20 to 12. To them, every single track recorded worth the time and energy invested hence, it was difficult to oust some.

The 12-track album, according to the duo, is targeted at winning many awards at next year’s Ghana Music Awards including the “Album of the year”, “Hip-hop Album of the year” and “Video of the Year”.

Mr Kwame Blay, a founding member of BBnZ Live, also disclosed that the label has plans in place to push the album to the maximum length. He said the marketing, distribution and other strategic plans to help push the album are already in place.

The official video for the title track is scheduled for release on Wednesday, September 20 following the album announcement. The video was directed by Esianyo Kumordzi.

The album release date will be announced on September 27, according to the management.

TV presenter Tima Yeboah popularly known for hosting Kumkum Bagya on Adom TV was a year older on Sunday, September 17 and it was such a big deal for her.

The beautiful lady had a big birthday party with most Ghanaian celebrities in attendance.

Aside the top stars who were at the birthday party which happened at the Roman Holiday Restaurant in Accra, family, friends and colleagues at Multimedia were also present to celebrate sister Tima kumkum.

Popular among the numerous personalities at the Tima @ 30 party included Martha Ankomah, Matilda Asare, Vicky Zugah, Gloria Osei Sarfo, MzGee and many others.

The Nana Akufo-Addo government has rolled out the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy and its got many Ghanaians excited.

One of such persons is Highlife musician, Lucky Mensah who is also a supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

To show his excitement, the musician who defected from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a video in which he praises President Akufo-Addo.

Apart from singing the praises of the president, he further taunts former President John Mahama for failing to implement such a policy.

In the short video, he sings in Twi, “Ade3 aberante3 antumi any3, ak)kora baay3 w’ab3y3” which loosely translates into “the old man is doing what the young man could not do.”

The NDC also proposed a progressively Free SHS which would have taken more time to make SHS education free because they felt the NPP’s model of Free SHS was not feasible.

A selected team from Zylofon Media who attended the just ended Ghana Music Awards UK 2017 met the management of Reggie N Bollie as well as the XFactor duo.

Among some of the issues discussed were a forum to educate Ghanaian musicians about some of the benefits of music distribution, how to get international agents for the promotion of their works and ultimately a possible business collaboration between the record labels Zylofon Music and F.R.O.D Music.

The forum which will be held in Ghana for music stakeholders and musicians will be hosted by Zylofon Media with Reggie and Bollie as the resource people.

Reggie and Bollie commended Ghanaian musicians for the recognition of their products and added that Zylofon Media artistes including Joyce Blessing, Kumi Guitar, Obibini, Becca and Stonebwoy have the potential to break through the music industry worldwide because of their talent.

Highlife artistes Kumi Guitar and Obibini were present along side their communications head Samuel Atuobi Baah aka Sammy Flex, Isaac Aidoo aka GhKwaku and Enoch Atakorah.  F.R.O.D Music was also represented by Reggie and Bollie alongside their management members Paul Akwaboah and Mark Darlington.

Rapper Pappy Kojo says he is upset with ace musician Obrafour for ignoring his calls and messages.

The Fante rapper who said he adores the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ composer, expressed his disappointment in his attitude towards him.

In an interview on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix with Doreen Andoh, Pappy Kojo mentioned that he was supposed to have performed with Obrafour at the 2016 edition of the Ghana Music Awards but he failed to show up that night.

“I am a little bit upset with Obrafour [but] I have kept quiet for so long but I have to say it,” the rapper, born Jason Gaisie, said.

“Obrafour has been ignoring me for a while, he doesn’t pick my calls, he doesn’t reply my text messages, [and] I don’t understand why Obrafour is doing that.

“I want to understand what is going on, because you are like [an idol] to me, you are the reason why I am doing what I am doing,” he said.

According to him, “Last year I performed at Ghana Music Awards and I wanted to surprise the people with Obrafour so we spoke about it, he agreed and he didn’t show up. I called him and he didn’t pick, I really don’t understand what is going on.”

“You can’t just influence me and then when I fall in love with you, you just leave me alone, it doesn’t work,” he added.

Relationship with Yvonne Nelson:

The ‘Realer No’ hitmaker has been rumoured to be in an affectionate relationship with actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson.

He debunked such claims, after a listener threw a question at him, stressing that he dated another lady by the name Yvonne Melson and not the actress, Yvonne Nelson.

“Good, good this question again. I dated Yvonne Melson, I didn’t date Yvonne Nelson, the Yvonne I dated is called Yvonne Melson, she lives in Takoradi and has never stepped foot in Accra,” he cleared the air.

Top Kumawood actress Vivian Jill Lawrence has finally passed a comment about the alleged husband-snatching saga, which hit the movie industry not long ago.

Ellen White was reported to have jumped into bed with Emelia’s hubby few months after they went their separate ways, an allegation Miss White denied. Vivian Jill on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show confirmed that she has heard the issue but does not know much about it. The multiple award-winning actress continued that she knew nothing about the issue prior to the naming ceremony of her second son, Alfie which happened in Kumasi months back.

When asked if the conduct of both actresses at the event pictured that there was a problem, the screen goddess replied Zionfelix, host of the show that she did not take time to study the reactions of both actresses when they met at the christening of her last born.

To her, words from the actresses are what Ghanaians should believe but not rumours and reports from journalists. The mother of two concluded that she cannot say much about the alleged husband snatching issue because she has not had time to talk to Emelia Brobbey and Ellen White to inquire much about it.

An eight-member team from Entertainment Company, Zylofon Media has left the country to U.K for the second edition of Ghana Music Awards, U.K expected to happen this weekend.

The group, which left Ghana on Friday, September 15 afternoon included musicians, management members and technical persons from the company. List of persons who jet off to U.K included musicians Kumi Guitar and Obibini, Enoch Atakora (Head of Productions), Samuel Atuobi Baah and Gh Kwaku (Communication Team), Roger Kubi (Becca’s manager), Isaac Awuah (Cinematographer) and Abas (director).

Stonebwoy, Becca and Kumi Guitar signed on Zylofon Media were nominated for the second edition of the awards happening on Saturday, September 16 at the Gaumont Palace (Dominion Center), 9 The Broadway, High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DS.
