THE TRUTH: Bill Asamoah Tells Why He Always ‘Fight’ LilWin On Set

1
ZIonfelix & Bill Asamoah on ‘Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix

Ghanaian actor Bill Asamoah has described his colleague Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin as a person who flouts acting rules.

Speaking on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show, the actor known privately as William Asamoah Addo disclosed that he always have to direct the ‘I Can’t Think’ Far’ coiner whenever he goes astray on set because he has been in the industry for long. He added that one particular thing he has to always put him on check is his choice of words. According to Bill, LilWin prefers raw statements even when he has to use a proverb to communicate same idea.

The Ashanti Regional Actors Guild President continued that he usually cuts the actor when he makes such mistakes because “I wouldn’t sit down for him to say something that is untoward and when it comes on screen everybody will be speaking bad about it”.

Comparing LilWin with Agya Koo, he described the latter as a matured actor who would “tell you what he wants to say in a proverbial way” but the former “lacks that and will come the raw way”.

EXCLUSIVE: Pastor Josh Laryea Quits ICGC, Establishes Own Church

6

Gospel musician and pastor Josh Laryea has left the International Central Gospel Church to establish his own church, Zionfelix.net is reliably informed.

The name of his church we are told is Charis International Church located at Cantonments in Accra. Zionfelix.net is also told that Josh Laryea’s church was launched on June 18 this year, weeks after he left ICGC Doxa Temple. Before he left, Rev. Josh Laryea was the minister in charge of the Doxa Temple of I.C.G.C. located at Labone Junction in Accra.

The  church suspended the ‘Ngiboo’ hitmaker in March this year for an alleged “immoral conduct”. A letter dated March 29, 2017, issued by The Church Council said the decision was taken to suspend Rev Laryea after it received a report against the pastor.

The letter indicated that, “The Presbytery has authorised the Disciplinary Committee to look into the allegations levelled against Rev. Laryea”.

It also added that, “Rev. Josh Laryea is being withdrawn from the pulpit and thereby the Doxa Temple with immediate effect. This is to allow the Committee carry out its work uninterrupted.”

The Church Council noted that a new pastor will be assigned to the Doxa Temple and urged the pastor to fully co-operate with the leadership of the church in the investigation.

Sources close to the church remained tight-lipped on the details of the alleged “immoral conduct” when the issue came up.

Chief Moomen Brought A Budget Of GHC3,355,000.00 For ‘Wogbejeke’ – Ghana@60 Committee Chairman Speaks

2

Chairman of Ghana @ 60 planning committe, Ken Amankwah has reacted to the cry of poet and playwright Chieff Moomen that they owe him after contracting him to show ‘Wogbejeke’ play as part of activities to mark Ghana’s 60 independence celebration.

Moomen in a Facebook post chronicled the hustle he has been through after government’s refusal to pay his company some debts owed it. The committe in response to Chief Moomen’s outburst on social media says they did not give him the go ahead to stage the play because they had to look into the budget.

“Chief Moomem was a young man in a hurry. Before we could examine the details in his budget, he had mounted the stage and the musical was performed without an agreed contract.”

Mr. Amankwah continued that the poet refused to tell the world the gargantuan budget he presented to committee as an amount he wants for the play.

Read full reaction from the committee as monitored below:

Moomem Moonshine

Chief Moomem, in a contrived tearjerker article on social media, claimed that Ghana 60 Years On Anniversary Committee owed him for his WogbeJeke musical performed sometime in March 2017.

What he failed to mention was his whopping budget of GHC3,355,000.00 that he delivered to the Committee. Admittedly, the budget was inclusive of Regional and International tours but even so, the local one night show of GHC213, 210 at the Banquet Hall in Accra was excessive!

And this was a budget the Committee had to look at and take a decision bearing in mind our own limited outlay of GHC20 million for the entire year long celebrations.

Chief Moomem was a young man in a hurry. Before we could examine the details in his budget, he had mounted the stage and the musical was performed without an agreed contract.

This was against the Committee’s well laid down procedures of agreed terms of engagement for all entertainment events.
Moomem’s budget and our annotated suggestions are set out in an appendix to this article.

But the moonshine of his presentation was the ruse that he had never been paid. Moomen received GHC100,000 in cash from the Chairman of our Events sub-committee as “mobilization” fee.

This was payment done by the Events Sub Committee Chairman without authority and he had since been reprimanded.

The GHC100,000 was half of Moomem’s local one night performance budget at the Banquet Hall of the State House. The Banquet Hall, and its expensive chillers that normally would cost GHC20,000 to hire was given gratis by Ghana 60 Years On Committee.

Chief Moomem called on me at my office in the Flagstaff House to demand final payment for his staged musical sometime in late April this year. Apparently, he had been to see the Events sub Committee Chairman on several occasions without success.

All that I asked him at our meeting was my signed contract with him. He looked vacant and confused. He claimed since the Events Sub Committee Chairman had paid him GHC100,000 mobilisation, he was under the impression the Committee had okayed his budget of GHC213,000.

I reminded him of our earlier discussions when he delivered his budget. There was the understanding that his budget was not a fait accompli. The Committee was entitled to sanitise and prune it down to reasonable amounts. He never came back for the budget hearing.

Then some few days ago, I started getting calls from Committee members, friends and family about how one Chief Moomem was traducing Ghana 60Years On Anniversary Committee for collapsing his business empire of one musical!

Well, Chief Moomem, you were even lucky to have been paid the GHC100,000. And you have contributed to the woes of the Events Sub Committee Chairman leading to his early exit from the Committee.

During Ghana@50, Prof. Martin Owusu, with the School of Performing Arts in Legon staged twelve classic plays at National Theatre – one play a month for the entire period of the Jubilee Year. His budget was GHCII7,648. My institutional memory has served me well at Ghana60 Years On Committee. Even with the highest inflationary index I don’t think one musical would cost GHC213,000 now!

Ghana60Years On is not debt-distressed. We have sufficient funds to launch events every month. And that is what we are doing. Witness our nationwide Brassband competition launch at Swedru, our Food Farms for Schools (Fofas)project in partnership with MOFA, our ongoing Jubilee durbars, our international debut in London, our near completion of contract agreement for a giant black American soul maestro to cap the celebrations in March next year, the school quiz competitions, the E Library projects, the 60,000 borehole projects with MTN and so and so on.

We are on course and no Moomem calumnies can stop us. It is rather unfortunate that his cheerleaders at some radio and TV stations were inveigled to carry his story without the hallowed journalistic canons of balance, accuracy and fairness. But we forgive, so let the celebrations continue!

Shatta Wale & Sista Afia at GMN 2017

Songstress Sista Afia has stated clearly that she has not slept with the boss of SM4Lyfe, Shatta Wale.

Speaking on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelx show, she said the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker has not made any attempt to sleep with her and she believes he will not think of doing that. According to the ‘Jeje’ singer, Shatta Wale is always thinking of how to help her music career instead of admiring her voluptuous body.

Afia told Zionfelix, host of the show that she would not begrudge anybody who thinks they have had sex because it is normal for people to arrive at such conclusion judging from the fact that they are always seen together. She added that she would not do anything with the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker because she sees him as a big brother. Sista Afia continued that she has a good relationship with Shatta Mitchy who happens to be Shatta Wale’s wife so the thought of going to bed with Charles Nii Armah Jnr will never come to mind.

When Zionfelix, host of ‘Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix’ asked what would make her allow Shatta Wale to penetrate, she replied that “then I might be drunk”.

1

It is more than obvious that one of Highlife’s greats, Ofori Amponsah A.K.A “Mr. All for real’s” come back to mainstream circular music has been cemented with back-to-back hits which features Sarkodie on “Alewa”, Samini on Tintin & quite recently “seventeen” which features Kwabena Kwabena.

It is obvious that the “Odwo” hitmaker is not slowing down anytime soon. Speaking with Ofori, he indicated that it took him a long time to find his groove back & he feels very fine with himself & his creative powers which ones won him the admiration from his music lovers is getting back to him again. Ofori said his creativity was crushed at one point & found it very hard to compose.

The “Otoolege” hitmaker said there is a lot musicians go through with their private lives and tends to be very difficult for them to seek counsel or get friends to consult in their times of distress. He said, sometimes he wished the immediate people around can understand your situation but because you are seen as a demigod, you are left to languish in your deprived state.

That is the reason most musicians stick to drinking alcohol or smoking just for them to escape from their pain. He pleaded with the media to take a soft stand whenever they hear or see a fellow musician that is going through hard or trial times.

Mr. All for real is willing to share his experience with his younger colleagues in the industry when the need arises. He is set to release another banger featuring “Akwaboah” & “Black Nayaka” on a song titled “Dangerous” which was produce & mixed by ceedi3gh of weloudinyaspeakerz studios and mastered by Bodostigar. A song he wants to use to teach all the lovers out there to be careful not to break the hearts of the ones they love.
